Are these real Crocs? And they are only $14.99? If they have khaki beaches in 8's let me know! :teeth: Cheapest I can get them around here is $24.99.

No - these are the Payless AirWalks that were in Kate's picture - we were going to all wear matching shoes on our Segway tour, but my feet had to go and ruin it for the rest of them. Vicki has said she'll take them - but if anybody wants me to go tomorrow, they had a couple of pairs last week.

I don't mind going if somebody needs them - I always like a little retail therapy!!

Actually they are Airwalks, which is Payless Shoes knock off. I had a pair of black ones and they were quite comfortable until the strap broke. It took a good 8 months for them to break, though, so I feel I got my money's worth out of them.

Oh my gosh! I so used to do this during my college years. I would go out and rent all the Disney movies that I loved but didn't own, I'd spend the day before making cookie dough and munchies, and then the entire next day, my friends and I would watch Disney movies and eat raw cookie dough, chips dips, etc. DH won't let me do that now. But, I do get my Disney fix with our movie nights each Sunday night. That's when our entire family watches one Disney movie with popcorn, root beer floats and a special dessert. It's become a fun thing that my kids don't want to give up. Hooray! They are as Disney obsessed as I am!

My Brownies want to have a Disney party and no I did not encourage this at all. I had no say in what they chose to brainstorm and put on the list and vote. They also want to do an outdoor picnic. I was thinking it would be cool to do an outdoor Disney themed Picnic for there end of the year awards ceremony.

Most of them have not been to WDW or Disneyland. So they don't know all of the attractions and things like you and I might. Just know what they see on movies and tv and what there friends and families know about Disney.

So I am looking for ideas. I will be asking them for there ideas as it is there party and I want them to help plan it. But I know you are Disney obsessed and full of great ideas and you have Disney parties for your kids. So please spread the :wizard: and share your creativity. Thank you in advance.

Becky

Thought the rest of you DDAers would appreciate this -- Matt was in his bedroom after getting ready to go to bed with the globe between his legs. Guess what he asks me?

Mommy, is this where the Queen lives?????

(and he wasn't talking about England :teeth: )

You are so sweet to offer! I'll check out the stores near me first and then I'll let you know. If yours can't go to me, then I'm glad that Vicki will get them.

Awwwww!

Ok, gals, (and guys, but I think we've scared most of them away) I have an actual T-shirt question (don't die of shock!) Now that I have an actual figure again, one that I don't mind showing off, I need to get some T-shirts for our upcoming DL trip.

Earlier on (on the monster thread), someone mentioned a brand of T's that were more fitted that worked well with the transfers. Silly me didn't pay attention, because I didn't want anything clinging to that old body. Can someone remember what the brand was? If not, can someone give me some good ideas for where to get t's that are not so boxy? Brand names would be good, too. I'm hoping to place an order for shirts for me and for my kids and nieces and nephews for the summer, so if I could get everything at one place that would be great!

Thanks all!

Join the club! Of course, you could come to the World in January to do the half marathon with us, and then we'd be able to meet each other and see the World at the same time.

Sometimes I get a little overwhelmed as I realize that although I know DL like the back of my hand, I know nothing about WDW. I can't wait to learn, though!

I know WDW like the back of my hand. But there is lots I have not done at WDW. But know very little about Disneyland as I have never been.

Chanon - Next time you're on the TGM forum will you look at my revised itinerary and see what you think. I was trying to take some of the advise, but I'm not sure if I like how it turned out. I don't think my version was too bad, especially with just the two of us so we'll see.

Everyone else - What is your preference when it comes to park hopping? We tend to park hop every day. The main reason being that we don't usually take resort breaks because, well, it's just not worth it for me. Terra either naps before we get back or wakes up as soon as we get there so then I have to entertain her the whole time so it's no break for me. If we stay at the parks, hopping gives us a nice break. Plus, I like the change in scenery. My original itinerary had different parks for AM and PM. Trying to take into account some advice from other posters I ended up with 3 days that are all the same park (4 if you could our AK day from open to the parade and then no plans for the night). What does your family prefer?

I like to hop. Especially from Epcot to MK. Or MGM to any park. I also hop on my AK day. I always go to another park in the evening.

Shana - First let me say:

We are so glad you joined in. Where are you from? You will get to know us all soon enough and then you won't be able to tear yourself away from the computer.

Second, what's up with the new person stealing the milestone when we have veterans here that haven't claimed any??? I'm only kidding. :teeth: We are a sarcastic bunch, too. In case you haven't figured it out, we like to make a big deal out of it each time we turn another thousand posts.

Hello! I just thought I would share a bit about myself. We live in State College, PA - home of the Penn State Nittany Lions. I became a SAHM after I had a high-risk pregnancy and had to be stay off my feet for the majority of the 9 months. But I gave birth to a healthy, happy baby boy, Jayden (we usually just call him Jay), who is now 19 months. Prior to that, I taught at a private Pre-Kindergarten program for 11 years. I also have a DS7, Dillon and wonderful husband, Jess (who LOVES John Deere tractors!!!) I am currently home-schooling Dillon (1st grade) and am really enjoying it. Are there any other home-schooling families among the DA's??? :confused3 I am also very involved at our church - I teach Sunday School, a mid-week program for kids, music ministry (pianist), and Vacation Bible School director. And that pretty much takes up all of my time (and energy)! I adore children, and as you can see, most of my time is spent with them throughout the week. So I am really looking forward to becoming part of the DDA family and having more contact with the grown-up world! Can't wait to get to know each of you better as well!

Well, what are you waiting for, girl! Let's get a trip planned! Paula and I could show you around. I've done DL itineraries for Lindsay and for Kate. I'd love to help you out, too. I tell you, next year we need to plan a DDA meet in DL so you all can come see Walt's park! :thumbsup2

You could all come to mine! In light of the fact that we are all "family" I know that you would not judge me too harshly.

Just thought I would let you all know, in case you are interested :)

The Imagineering Field Guide to Epcot is slated for release 06/2006! Now, there's a possibility it won't come out until months later, if the MK one was any indication  but Amazon and Overstock have it available for preorder now! :Pinkbounc

I did a Pooh themed birthday party for the twins and it turned out so cute. I could send Becky the instructions on how to make the Pooh Bear cake (so easy, even I couldn't louse it up), and I made mini hamburgers with Pooh shaped biscuits to serve them on. I set out bowls of teddy grahams with honey pots for dipping. I made Piglet's potato salad.

I plan on posting pictures soon, I promise!
