I'm all caught up (again). Denise, prayers and :grouphug: for Rees. That poor boy goes through so much! Midnite, glad to see you again. Marti - hope you feel better.

My first post on the old monster thread was #436 on July 17, 2005 at 5:06 p.m. I had "lurked" for awhile before then, and had read all the posts from the beginning.

Just so I don't get in trouble with the queen, I will remind everyone that I am leaving tomorrow for Virginia and won't be back until late Sunday night. I probably will not be on the computer that night, and have to work the next day, so the earliest that you might hear from me is Monday night. It will probably take me days to catch up again. I'll miss "chatting" with you all and keeping up with you all.

Have a happy Easter or Passover, as the case may be.

Happy Easter to you, too, June! Drive safely and have a wonderful time with your son. I hope he enjoys all the cooking and baking that you have done!

Denise - is Rees sleeping yet? Hopefully tonight will be a better night for all of you. Enjoy a glass of wine and then go to bed! No turtle time....

And here is the sad news of the evening..... I'm going to have to return the shoes. :sad1: My arch falls when I wear them and I won't make it through the whole day at the world. Sorry the tootsies aren't going to match.
HHmmmm....perhaps you should sprinkle some dye on white leather tennis shoes. :rotfl:

Since you have shared pictures of past WDW trips, I decided to share in the walk down Disney memory lane.

Here I am with my Mom and Brother in at EPCOT in January of 1994

The first thing I noticed in this photo is the water from the fountain making Mickey Ears on spaceship earth. Great photos. Thanks for sharing.

Ok, I think I have to go back and read all 22,000+ of the posts from the original thread now that I know everyone. This synopsis was just too funny.:rotfl:

One of my first posts was a design question. Kate came back with "LOOK A DESIGN QUESTION!!" which made me worried that I posted in the wrong place and had offended someone. That was before I really knew Kate and didn't realize she was being a smart aleck!!! At least I hope that is what it was! :rotfl:

If you think the synopsis was funny, you really SHOULD read all 22000+ posts. We had some good times, but I have to say that I think we are having some wonderful times, now, too.

By the way, it took all of us a while to realize that Amy and Kate knew each other in real life. They really kept that quiet for a while, and it confused us all no end! We were so afraid that Kate would be offended by Amy and then quit designing. Thank heaven they cleared that up for us!

Right now with our girls being young, 6 and 1 (at least until tomorrow!), we have just basically celebrated the Jewish holidays w/ DH's family and Easter, Christmas with mine. Our intention once Molly gets a little older is to still celebrate all the holidays but to have one year we will follow strictly the rules of Passover and then the next follow the Lenten season. We think this will work well for us. We have celebrated Hanukkah with 2 families as they were interested in learning a little more. This sounds so trivial but I really like having the 2 religions/traditions as we don't feel pressured to spend one holiday with both sides of the family. Now we enjoy each one separately and don't feel rushed or that I am choosing one side over another. If you are looking for more specific information let me know.

I may have some more questions as I start thinking things through. I just think it's important for my kids to understand and appreciate all religions. Celebrations are a great way to get them started on that! It means that I, too, have to do some studying so I can answer questions. Thanks for being willing to help out.

Well, if you don't like them staring at your feet, you could always flash your blue...

Amy :)

Ok, we were ALL thinking it, but Amy's the only one brave enough to say it! Love you Kristine!

I hope you don't mind if I share this with you all, but it was a nice "mommy moment" after a long day at work.

Let me set it up: Nicholas showers in our bathroom, since he can do it himself now, while Alyssa is bathed in their bathroom. The other day they got those tub crayons and paints, and have been being little artists during bathtime. So, I didn't get home until around 8:30 tonight, as I had to do some errands after work. As I walk into my bathroom, I am looking right at my shower, and this is what I see:

Ok..who mentioned Cleveland?! Was it you Amy? Tell me not everyone on this board lives in Cincinnati? :teeth:

Another bit of useless Disney trivia for the night...Goofy's creator and original voice was Vance P. Colvig.

Where in NE Ohio are you (if you don't mind saying)? I have relatives near Canton and Youngstown.

I have to be honest....I'm afraid :scared: to wear them out in public!!

Mostly just around the house. Are you noticing a difference since you've been wearing them a lot?

I was afraid to wear mine out in public for a while (they're fire engine red), but now they're so comfortable, that I don't want to put on other shoes anymore. I'm headed to our local Cabela's to pick up a pair of blacks for my mom, and I'm picking up a pair of sage and navy for me. I've found my shoe of choice. I haven't noticed anyone staring at my feet, but I wouldn't care if they did. My feet, knees and back feel wonderful!

Now, the real test is when I have to start canning produce this summer. Standing in front of the sink and stove for 7 hours a day will be a real deal breaker for these shoes.

Ok, I have t-shirts ordered for Pal Mickey. Didn't know what colors he needed for his trip with the DDA but I've ordered 2 black, 2 red, 2 blue, 2 purple, 2 green & 4 white. I got a black, red, blue, purple, green & white t-shirts for the other two Pal Mickey's as well as a blue, black & grey pair of boxers for all three. I'm donating these to the DDA travelin' Pals. Deb & Theresa, I hope you don't mind. This is something I would like to do and you both have young ones at home. If this bothers you, let me know.

I've requested that Kate come up with an original Kate design for one of the shirts so the boys have one matching to start. Does anyone else have any ideas? Or should we just send them blank and see what you all come up with when they get to your place? That was Deb's suggestion for the autograph pages which I think is a great one. We figure you are all creative and will come up with something yourselves.

Theresa, I ordered all the things you requested as well. I had it shipped to me. I'll ship to Kate (as soon as I know what she needs) and you & Deb when they get here. The white t-shirts are supposed to be within 2-4 days. The others said there was a delay and would be 7-10 days.

We need to get at least one of these guys on the way soon as there are people waiting!!! :lmao:

That is so nice of you. You really didn't have to do that!. You are spreading more pixie dust. The DDA sure has a bunch of giving people.

You've got a sale. Since my Pal Mickey is going to have a semi-matching pair, it is only right that I should have a pair that match. I looked at ours the other day and they don't have that color. Only the pink and green tiedyed version. If no one else has claimed them, I'll take them. I'm sending you a pm.

OK - maybe I need to rethink you DDA's!
You cook, you clean, you create awesome designs... :faint:
You make me exhausted just reading about all you do - where do you find the time??? :confused3
I only hope I can live up to the DDA standards!!! :rotfl: LOL!
Shana

I was gonna say I don't do most of those things on a daily basis. But that is because I spend most of my time working. But I have done all of those today, but I didn't work. Instead I spent 2 and a half hours with my Brownie troop having a pizza, pajama and movie party. They chose to watch Chronicles of Narnia which suprised me, so I had to extend the meeting length.

I thought of you Vicki when you said about wearing fun pajamas. I think I had the most fun pajamas on, since they all showed up in solid colored pants or simple patterned pants and a t-shirt.

I wore these capris
IM000438.jpg
and a pink shirt with Thumper on that says Tickled Pink, all the parents and kids got a kick out of it.

So I guess I just proved your point again we all do lots of things  which wasn't my original point. :rotfl2:

I am sure you do plenty of other things that some of us can't do. :)
