Jennifer: I was wondering exactly that. How do you post a picture if it's not digital? I'm new to all of this. :confused3

Monica

I scanned the photograph in and saved it to my computer, and from there everything is the same (uploading it to photobucket, etc).

All the late night posters should be BANISHED!! It took me over an hour to catch up. How is a girl to get her house organized when I have to spend hours catching up everyday? When I finally logged on last night I had to wade through 30 pages which was exhausting so I went to bed, to wake up to 20 new pages this morning. To top it off it was the 80's which I definately remember fondly. I'm sure that I could come up with the worst cheerleading picture if I looked. I was a Hockey Cheerleader. Yep, that's right we wore pants and wool sweaters over whatever we could find to keep up warm, completing the outfits were our Sorel boots :lmao: . We even got to go out on the ice at the beginning of the games and skate out our welcome cheer. Looking back it seems pretty strange, but I though it was pretty cool back then. We even shared a bus with the Hockey team :rolleyes1 . I know, your all jealous :rotfl:

I also worked at a movie theater from the time I turned 16 until I graduated from college. It was the prefect job for a teen, free movies, soda and popcorn during those all important dating years :cool1: I'm pretty sure I saw just about every movie released from 1984 - 1991.

Yes, I did! But actually, I enjoyed reading every comment. You guys are too funny!

However, you missed some of "my" movies. Grease and Star Wars (the original). They both came out when I was in high school. Star Wars was awesome. I don't think anyone that wasn't a teen when it came out could truly understand it's impact. It was so different than anything before. So real!!! We have been watching reruns of TV shows and other movies from when we were kids and they are so lame. Anything with singing & dancing is a favorite of mine.

And Kate ... I was only a young mother when Pretty Woman came out but I had a problem with so many young girls idolizing a hooker. Old fogey that I am!!!!! :rotfl: I loved the story line but kept wishing they had not made her a hooker.

I LOVE Grease and Star Wars (all of them!). My sister is absolutely hooked on Star Wars now, too :)

How far did you say you were from Chicago? There are a few of us in Illinois

I'm about 5 or 6 hours from O'hare. I know it took us 6 hours once but can't remember if that was in the snowstorm or not. My DH doesn't know it yet, but I've already decided if you guys ever get together for something down there, I'm going to try and attend. I drive 8 hours to Lansing for meetings so Chicago is actually closer!

YOU LOSERS!

I can't believe you had a posting party that revolved around the 80's and nobody called me! :sad2:

Here I was all proud of myself that we had a Lost marathon (yes, we watched all three episodes last night)...little did I know what I was missing.

And Vicki, why in the world do you fear the Queen?!!! She can't really banish you silly!

Amy :)

Hey! You were there in thought. I reffered to you on at LEAST one occasion ;)

Now that I'm caught up I can try to get some housework done. Please go easy on me. I have to work tonight and am not looking forward to the 30 + pages that I know I will find when I get home. :teeth: It is like the old days again.

Deb

Just wanted to say hi. Now I have to go back to page 1114 and get caught up.

You guys are sooo bad.

Ok, Chanon, now it's all I can do to keep from singing Hang On Sloopy all day (complete with O-H-I-Os, of course.... they ARE a part of the song, you know! ;) )! :rotfl2:

Edit: To clarify, I'm NOT doing the motions around the house. Just the letters, in my head :teeth:

I'm gonna have to start dragging out my early 80's and my 70's Disco on y'all in a second. Kool and the Gang rocked. And Sean Cassidy. Now there was a heart throb!

My baby (almost 14) loves David and Sean Cassidy.....she swears that's why she is named Cassidy. Uh no!! She has a myriad of tastes musically but hates the classical her piano teacher is having her practice for the next recital. She like the Disney recital better.

I am so sorry I missed all this conversation last night!!

It looks like we'll be getting another milestone sometime today. They sure keep coming faster & faster. I wasn't there for the "good ol' days" but these days have been great!!!!!

Here's what they wear now (well, last year anyway). Trends certainly have changed. They've gone and changed the focus of the colors even... and I'm really not that old! :rotfl:

ETA: sorry for the poor-quality picture... this was the pre-digital era. actually, it was probably just a disposable camera because i was never allowed taking a good one anywhere :rotfl2:
I'm glad to see that they lost the bandanas!!

Well, that was just for homecoming! :) In actuality, that outfit also included mardi gras beads, eagle tattos and all sorts of other goodies

In other games we were much more "put together" :rotfl:

ETA: Notice I am NOT in a bandana. I had no control over those girls on homecoming!

::yes:: ::yes:: I couldn't agree more!!!! Poor Katie Holmes :confused3 !!!

It was when he started dating her that he kind of went off the deep end!! or at least showed his true colors

I have hard time believing they are really in love - when the first started dating I was like "YOU GO GIRL!" b/c what young girl didn't dream of marrying Tom Cruise - it was like every girls dream come true - but the more I watch the more she seems trapped!!!!
