Paula - keep your chin up - you can always come here to vent... heck, its cheaper than a shrink :teeth:

To all my other buddies - still feeling lousy and will be turning in early tonight. Good news on Paul's MRI - no tear in his shoulder and that means no surgery. He will continue with physical therapy. He still feels lousy too - so we're going to sleep early tonight. I would have said going to bed early tonight - but I know how you people get!!! :teeth:

Later!
Who, us? :smooth:
Hope you both feel better soon!!

I hope you don't get offended by this, but my poodle has the same problem. The vet called it a "luxating patella." He offered to fix it with a knee replacement that would cost around 2000.00. I love my dog, but not that much!

I'm glad that yours can be fixed with therapy and not a knee replacement! And congrats on finding a doctor that is as hooked on Disney as you are. At least you know he has his priorities in order, right?

You have offended me and I am never talking to you again - as a matter of fact you are banished!!!

Just kidding!!! :teeth:

you all are scaring me now - I guess your poodle wasn';t very good at physical therapy!! ;)

ISo I have to tell you all that I am crying while I write this, because I can’t get over what wonderful people you all. I only have a few good friends in town (in the military your friends always move away) and they are out of town right now. But you all have taken me in and befriended me and you give a rats ____(insert work for donkey) and we have never met in person. Thank you doesn’t seem to be enough, but it’s all I have for now.[/font]

That's what friends are for! :grouphug:

Nope. And she never follows doctor's orders, either. You'll be fine! I can't imagine anything getting you down!

I couldn’t take it anymore and needed a break from the phone so I figured I would read a bit from the DDA.I want to say thank you all so much for the PD and prayers.

Some one give me authorization to slap my MIL!!! She is so on drugs!!!!!

First she didn’t want to go to MI because she wanted to wait for Easter break (she is a teachers assistant at a Catholic preschool) and its $200.00 cheaper if she waits 14 days to buy her ticket. (ARE YOU KIDDING ME!) Did she miss the fact that her daughter has a tumor and things don’t sound all that good. DH said it doesn’t surprise him, because we only live 2 ½ hours way and she doesn’t come to visit our girls but maybe MAYBE once a year.

We just got info that SIL in MI is not having the tumor taken out today; the surgery is for a shunt to relieve the pressure on the bladder and spine.

Everyone has asked her to come home so we can all see her and help take care of her. She said NO because she thinks everyone should come out to her and take care of her at her house. (Oh the Drama) I know she is drugged up, but is she crazy! Get real!!!! Oh, yes everyone will take time off work and spend lots of money to go to her house and take care of her. Please! She doesn’t have full custody of her two children and the fathers (yes that was plural) are being very nice about things right now. She could very well ask for special permission to bring the kids to California for a while during her recovery (if recovery is an option). I would think the courts and the fathers would agree to that.

Calgone take me away!

So I have to tell you all that I am crying while I write this, because I can’t get over what wonderful people you all. I only have a few good friends in town (in the military your friends always move away) and they are out of town right now. I'm glad to hear Paul's MRI came back looking good. I'd rather do therapy than surgery anyday.

I hope that you are both feeling better soon!! :wizard:

Afternoon, y'all! Rees finally slept well last pm. Didn't get up until 11am, so I think his body is trying to catch up. BK is really coughing, but seems to be ok with cough meds. Taking the kids to the park this afternoon to play. It's a beautiful day.

Any thoughts on changing my Donalds B'fast from 8:30 to 8am so that we can start AK right at opening?

Also, CP b'fast vs dinner. B'fast is at 8:05 so we get to go into the park early, good picture ops, done at opening vs dinner at 6:35pm which would be a good way to wind down the day and be done right when Wishes starts and just go to the porch of CP to watch Wishes?

Thought and opinion appreciated.

ETA: Kate, hope your doctor's appt goes well. Marti, your friend is in my prayers and hope Hunka is feeling better today.

Denise - I always enjoyed the food at CP better at breakfast. You can then have dinner whenever you want, and watch Wishes from the Tomorrowland Bridge. IMHO, it's the best viewing spot you can get! Tink flies right over your head. Also, with 3 kids, I think it's easier to get breakfast foods from the buffet than dinner or lunch. Again, just my opinion.

KristinN,

Try baby oil to get the dye off; thats what we use in theatre to remove nasty stage makeup and paint from skin and it works like a charm, it also gets easter egg dye off of skin.

Marci,

Another pale freckly girl with tanning problems! A friend just recommended the new Jergens body lotion that has a tanner in it. It doesn't get splotchy and is really just a normal skin moisturizer with a little tint. After a week she really noticed a difference and it looks completely natural. I'm gonna give that a try!

Thanks! I might try that to see if it is easier to put on than fake bake.

Good morning all - I was reading last night but couldn't respond b/c my sweet little daughter decided a few days ago to clean the keys on my laptop wth her wipes - which she squeezed over the keyboard - now the typing is all messed up on it so I can only type at my desktop - the laptop needs to go in for service - but I wanted to catch up on all my shows and my desktop is not near the tv!!

I am going to send out one big :wizard: and :grouphug: and :cheer2: in fear of missing anyone!!!!!!

I have a busy day today - I am going to the doctor about my knee at 2:00 - hopefully it is nothing major!!!

and to Payless to get Clare's shoes

My mom brought me my nile crocs last night and I think they are really comfy too - you can count me among those who thought crocs were UGLY and now I am never wearing another shoe again!!! :lmao: Will that look silly Julia's wedding?!? :teeth:

I do think the payless crocs are WAY better than the regular ones that I tried on - I hate walking without them now - and I wore them to work last night and everyone said how cute they were!!!

Julie - how is the charming going?!?!?!
:wizard: I hope you're able to get your laptop fixed inexpensively. Good luck at the doctor's

I hear you! I'm breaking in my red crocs, and was just planning on being at the house today. Had to run to the store, and was just finishing up when I realized that I'm wearing a bright purple shirt with fire engine red crocs. Oops!

I did the same thing today. I was planning on wearing different pants today and ended up with purple sweats instead. So altogether, I have on orange t-shirt (luckily mostly covered by grey sweatshirt) and blue Airwalks. I didn't realize until I was in the Drs. office with Becky.

Thanks, I will check them out. I was thinking of just taking Alyssa to the Build a Bear store on her birthday and let her pick out one and make it.

Where is US Toys? I've never heard of them.

Ok. I've done it again. I missed a personal milestone. I catch everyone else's and don't pay attention to my own. Hopefully, I won't miss 1000.

We're doing Donald's at 8. DH and I want to hit EE before the crowds get there. Don't know if that helps or not. :confused3

Might also be called Constructive Playthings...there is only 2 in CO....it's a favorite of the teachers and PTO as they do a lot of the same things as Oriental Trading plus other teaching tools.

OMG!!! I am having a bad day. Well it actually started last night.

SIL lives in Michigan; she was admitted to the hospital two days ago for major leg pain. (History… She was diagnosed with cervical cancer about six months ago, they did surgery and she did chemotherapy. The docs told her all was well.)

So she goes into the hospital and they do a few tests and find a tumor in her stomach. They think it may have gone into her lymph system. She is scheduled for surgery tonight at 5:00. Last night DH was on the phone with every member of the family (he has 5 brothers and sisters along w/ 2 step sisters all who live in California except the 1 in Michigan) the oldest BIL was packing for a redeye flight so he can be there in time for the surgery.

DH called MI sister this morning who was drugged up a bit for pain and he is now worried more than ever. He could take leave and go be with her, but if he does that and comes home and needs to ask for leave again, the military might not be so happy about that. In fact honestly they only grant emergency leave for deaths. Now most squadrons are very nice and would do what they could to help the member, but DH has a formal military class he MUST attend at the end of the month and it’s 4 weeks long. He could reschedule the class if he had to, but it is not an easy ting to do. (keep in mind that we are preparing for a retirement ceremony and reception this Saturday).

Retiring BIL calls this morning and said the guy working the ceremony for his retirement is an idiot and doesn’t have much done. BIL told this guy WEEKS ago that DH would be more than happy to work the ceremony. Now BIL is very angry and almost wants to skip the entire thing. (That is so sad, because after 20 plus years he should have the ceremony he wants) Along with all this DH might have to leave for MI and not be able to participate in the ceremony what so ever.

I am up to my eyeballs with a lot of stupid junk also. The silent auction baskets I am working at DD school is not going well because the parents are being asked to bring things for the Easter party also. If I’m lucky I might have enough for 1 basket. If I could have started this a month ago like I had asked, I bet I would have just about everything I need.
I didn't do laundry this weekend for some stupid reason and now I have that also.
Blah blah blah

AAARRRRRRGGGGG!!!!!

I am back on pg 1072 and will have to catch up later.

Thank you for listening. I am off to clean more and check for possible flights for DH.
I'm sorry you're having so much to deal with. I hope your DH can figure out a way to be there(MI) if he feels he needs to. As far as the basket, I would do what you can and let the people in charge know why you don't have as much. That the lady wanted you to wait and now parents are having to buy stuff for party as well as basket, etc. I totally agree that the more advance timing the more stuff people donate. :wizard: Hopefully things start to improve and that everything goes well for DH's sister. :wizard:
