PRAYERS PLEASE!!!!

I just got off the phone with Denise. They are heading to the emergency room with Rees. He has been throwing up since dinner last night and has not been able to keep anything down. I will post with updates when I hear back from her.

Lynn
Oh no!!!! Poor little kid. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Is that hard to do, Anne Marie? Our guest bathroom needs it terribly (the bathroom was used by a teenage male under the previous owners, and I think he was charged with keeping his bathroom "clean" ).

We've pondered having a tile service do it (we had it done to our master, mainly because we had a leak in our shower, and wanted to see if it was due to loose/old grout), but if it's not too painful to do it yourself, it would be nice to save that money!

No, its not hard, just time consuming. Since I had the whole day & the house was empty it was a good day for it.

oh no poor baby.:wizard: prayers said

well my mom just called me. She said that when my brother came home last night around 1am he walked around to the back door to go into the house. Their was some one trying to break into the storage room. which he have a lock on. He yelled at the person and he and another guy took off running. my brother chased them but they climbed in a dark suv that took off. they did not turn thier lights on till they were turning onto another street.

Yikes!!! :scared1:

I need to go buy some thank you cards.

Marci we received your package on sat, Thank you

Deb still nothing.

Glynis I love the blanket you made. Thank you

You are most welcome!

So it looks like the computer and monitor we just bought at Best Buy 2 weeks ago will be on Black Friday ad! Darn it! A good $300 difference probably. I TRIED to get Phil to wait, but he just couldn't stand being without for another few weeks. GRRRRR!!

Speaking of Black Friday, does anyone have the website to check out the sales?

I went back and reread Deb's email. To me it sounds like Disney is implementing the mandatory 18% gratuity on all bills, everywhere, whether it is DDP, DDE or OOP. Am I understanding this correctly?

I read it to mean all table service meals. Hopefully, we're wrong, but didn't DDE already have a stipulation that the gratuity could be added in automatically? Or maybe that was just because we had a large group.

I am in the minority here. I think it JUST means DDE transactions. That e-mail was only sent to DDE card members, and none of the sites are reporting mandatory tipping across property (MouseSavers, AllEars, MousePlanet, etc.). All of the chatter back when they did the union contracts said DDE transactions would have tip included in 2008 even if you didn't have 8 people in your group - there was no speculation at all that it would be for all forms of payment.
I also think if it was being instituted across the board that somewhere in the DDP literature it would HAVE to say "Tip is NOT included in the price of your DDP. 18% gratuity is added to all meals and must be paid separately." or something to that effect. I REALLY think it is only DDE transactions.
That thread on the restaurants board is ludicrous! They are NOT going to add 18% gratuity to CS and they are NOT going to add it to the Pop food court if you use the DDE. I don't *think* they are doing it property wide for all forms of payment but we shall see.

Oh, no! That sounds bad! I hope there is an update soon and that things are OK!:wizard:

I went back to the Disney Store today (third time this week!) to add money to my gift card (it's pay day). One of the girls came up and handed me a Friends & Family coupon, so that was very cool! I saw that wreath, Anne Marie. Yours looks just as good or better!
I also found the ornaments today! I don't know if they have had them or if they just got them - they are in a corner where they are impossible to see! No High School Musical ones. I did see the Jack Skellington one. It is incredibly HEAVY! I am going to think on it.

Princess fell asleep in the car for about 20 minutes earlier this morning and now she won't go to sleep. She isn't fussing, but she is having a very complicated conversation for someone who is supposed to be napping!:rotfl2:

Well, maybe I am wrong.

The Walt Disney World® Resort will be implementing an across property policy change regarding gratuity at all food and beverage locations. Effective January 1, 2008, 18% gratuity will be added to all transactions, regardless of party size. (11/8/07 Disney Dining Experience Newsletter)

This is reportedly for ALL table service locations regardless of whether you are using a Disney Dining Experience card or not.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Several Cast Members have contacted AllEars® to say that this is only for Disney Dining Experience Card users. However, the information we verified this morning from 2 different sources stated it is for all Table Service. We are continuing to check on this.

I found this on AllEars. I guess it really could go either way!

Out of curiosity I Googled Discovery Cove and it is darn near $300 per person. Then I Googled "swim with manatees" and I found some deal in Homosassa Springs where you do exactly that for $50 per person. Thing is, Homosassa looks to be WAAAAY northwest of Orlando. I am going to take a deep breath and try not to get all up in this family's business, but it is going to be hard. I wonder if they are DRIVING?:scared1: If they are then I can sort of see how one might be able to sort of detour through the manatee area. Oh, my.:sad2: I think I should go back to working on my own August trip.

Anyone with an AP - would you let me know if you're having current difficulty logging into the AP website?

I have not been able to get on it lately, but as I'm usually trying really late at night, I have been chalking it up to Disney doing system maintenance at that time. However, I'm having no luck right now, and wondering if it's just me. :confused3

Prayers and :wizard: for Rees.

Jennifer- Hopefully they will get those boys.

Anne Marie- You go girl! Love the wreath and wow for the grouting and painting.

Glynis- Here is one
http://www.blackfriday.info/

Tia- More :wizard: for Michael. Darby scares me a little.

Deb and boys: Have fun tonight.

For those that aren't feeling well :wizard: that you get better soon.

I can't remember half of what I read. Sorry.'s and :wizard: to everyone.

We are headed out in a bit for Molly's final gymnastics and her show. She is very excited! Then I am going out with my girlfriend for dinner and shopping. Lots of fun for me, not so much for our bank account.:rotfl: I need to finish up my ornament shopping, nothing like leaving it for the last minute

Tomorrow morning I have to get up early head to Annapolis and pick up Lucy's shoes. Nordstrom there is the only place around here that has the ones I want. Then we have the girls holiday pics at 11am. Again, nothing like the last minute. I thrive under pressure or I like to so.

Oh and I ordered the gold dresses. I forgot the girls have Mary Jane Crocs so they can wear those while we are in the park and switch to their good shoes for dinner.

Have a good night!!

well I have the girls dresses bought I found them on Sunday. just need to decide if I want them to wear white shoes or black shoes. If black then I have to buy them shoes.

I remember us talking, but don't remember what she said. Sorry :upsidedow

Janet and I were in EPCOT at the Photo Center...Janet was buying a photo and when the lady asked us to consider a PhotoPass CD, we told her someone in our group has already purchased one. I then asked her we are all over the country - can we look at our own photos and then have our friend upload them onto the CD. She said no problem. I'm almost certain that I mentioned seperate online accounts too - Janet do you remember? I'm sure it can be done somehow! :thumbsup2

Lindsay - I can't get into the Passholder site, either, but I am not exactly sure what my AP number is. I tried both ways that I THOUGHT might be it, but neither one worked.:confused3
DH said our Mickey Monitor came today.:)

Speaking of DH and our mail, MetLife turned him down for life insurance based on his medical history.:scared: Now we have no choice but to try to renew with State Farm. I don't know if MetLife will insure me since I am the spouse and DH won't have a policy through them. Most of those benefits require that the employee elect the benefit first and THEN you can add spouse and dependents. I have a feeling this is going to get expensive.

Any would be fine except the Cars. I should check our Dollar General. I just want them for our resort.

I'll check today or tomorrow. We have to get up there and fill our Operation Shoebox box before Sunday so I'll check then.

ETA: Do you want a specific kind or just any? They were all pretty cute, though the Cars ones we're particularly "holiday" if I remember right.

How cute & thanks for the Idea!

I was inspired by Kristine's fabulous Halloween wreath.....

IMG_1219.jpg

My Disney store has a mickey head wreath for $24.99. I was at the Dollar store yesterday & saw the large wreath & the small ones & of course (being the Disney fan that I am) saw a hidden Mickey. $3!! & my kids love it. i am going to add some small red ornaments to it but all thats still in the attic. I just couldn't wait to put it up.

:yay: for credits!

I just saved another $57 on our Dec. SW flights! I got an e-mail (NOT a DING) and when I clicked in it showed my Sunday flight was down to $71! So I got back $19 on each ticket! So now my credit is up to $156 total. That is pretty good, I think!:thumbsup2

How scary Jennifer, glad everyone is ok.

well my mom just called me. She said that when my brother came home last night around 1am he walked around to the back door to go into the house. Tia - do they have a price guarantee, like they do for HD TV's?

I know that they have the price match within a couple of weeks, but don't know how long or if it applies to Black Friday. Plus, I'm guessing (read wishing as it makes me feel better ;) ) that there are rebates involved, plus the late night line waiting.
