Dec. 16 MCO to DFW Flight #42 leaves at 2:20 PM

I already got a DING for the 12th but maybe they DINGed it again. And our return is on Sunday so I don't think it will be included either. But it's worth a try!

ok which airline is it that does the dings? Butch will never fly, but if a good price comes up we might just surprise his mom with a solo trip for her to go see her sister.

Robyn, Lucy's pictures turned out so nice. I loved that the photographer captured a few of her smiles. And that last piture, oh my goodness that smile!! those cheeks and Her eyes .. what a fabulous picture.

Elizabeth, Happy Anniverary! I'm glad you and DH could get breakfast in together today. YAY for the vicks plug in. I've been thinking about getting them for the kid's rooms. I think you just made up my mind on them.

Jennifer, I'm sorry you still have your headache. and I'm sorry Virgina had you up half the night. I hope she does better today and lets you get a nap in.

Lindsay, congrats on getting The books done. sounds like you're on top of that list. I'm just sorry it's taking away from your sleep.

Bernadette, I'm sorry you're still felling a little yucky, but you're right about that Florida Sun. It does wonders.

thanks Heather but with a 4yr old who rarely takes naps a nap is not going to happen.

Those are awesome fares! But I am at work and I don't have DING!:sad2: Anybody want to look at my flights and let me know if it is worth the drive back home to change the tickets?

I met DH for breakfast. Today is our 15th anniversary.:)

I mailed DS's exchange ornament today. Postage rates are insane! I practically could have driven it up there myself for what they charge! (OK, not quite, but close.) And the lines are so long that you almost don't care how much postage is as long as you can LEAVE after you pay it!:rotfl2:

Elizabeth, I pm'ed you back. Get thee to a computer with DING!!!! ;)

Happy anniversary, too! :goodvibes

And I agree on the postage! I about fainted when they told me how much mine was going to cost. Maybe Southwest can take my package for me next time! :rotfl:

It's Southwest Airlines! Go to their website (www.southwest.com), and there should be a link to download their DING software right on the home page.

Jennifer-I'll try to call you Friday about the Kinkade painting. A coworker asked me to buy him some of the small prints so I'll be searching it out.

Debbie-can't wait to meet you!

I've just got to clean up a few things here on my desk and then I'm going home. I still have to pack my carryon. I really have to get to bed early tonight. I have to leave the house at 5:30 am.

I got my exchanged packaged up last night for DH to mail today. I was going to make a card but I was so obsessed with making everything secured in the box that I forgot all about the card til I sealed the box.:headache:

Tia, DH also mailed the papers.

found this on the CB. It seems it is an old email and Walter Reed will not deliver cards or packages.
-------------------------------------------------------------
Per the Walter Reed website the cards/packages will not be delivered. I know many people received that old email but please check these things out before you post.

Mail to Wounded and Recovering Soldiers

Title Mail to Wounded and Recovering Soldiers
Page Content Walter Reed Army Medical Center officials want to remind those individuals who want to show their appreciation through mail to include packages and letters, addressed to “Any Wounded Soldier” that Walter Reed will not be accepting these packages in support of the decision by then Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Transportation Policy in 2001. This decision was made to ensure the safety and well being of patients and staff at medical centers throughout the Department of Defense.

In addition, the U.S. Postal Service is no longer accepting “Any Service Member” or “Any Wounded Service Member” letters or packages. Mail to “Any Service Member” that is deposited into a collection box will not be delivered.

Instead of sending an “Any Wounded Soldier” letter or package to Walter Reed, please consider making a donation to one of the more than 300 nonprofit organizations dedicated to helping our troops and their families listed on the "America Supports You" website, www.americasupportsyou.mil

Other organizations that offer means of showing your support for our troops or assist wounded servicemembers and their families include:

http://www.usocares.org/
http://www4.army.mil/ocpa/tooursoldiers/
http://www.redcross.org

For individuals without computer access, your local military installation, the local National Guard or military reserve unit in your area may offer the best alternative to show your support to our returning troops and their families. Walter Reed Army Medical Center will continue to receive process and deliver all mail that is addressed to a specific individual.

As Walter Reed continues to enhance the medical care and processes for our returning service members, it must also must keep our patients and staff members safe while following Department of Defense policy. The outpouring of encouragement from the general public, corporate America and civic groups throughout the past year has been incredible. Our Warriors in Transition are amazed at the thanks and support they receive from their countrymen.

I hope everyone is having good days. I feel like a zombie (this getting 4-5 hours of sleep each night is getting old), but I completed half of one of my big projects for our trip last night. I made my nieces' autograph books! (I still have to personalize/print the cards, but the actual book was what I was dreading doing the most.) I am not at all crafty (I have the ideas in my head, but my hands usually can never cooperate), so I was scared to death to do these. This is when I wish my mom lived close by, as she's terrific at that stuff. However, I don't think they came out too bad. If I can remember, I'll try to post pics of them tonight. One of tonight's tasks will hopefully be to print out all the cards - once that's done, I think I will feel like a huge weight has lifted on that front. :thumbsup2

Chat with ya later!
That is great! Good luck finishing the cards. I'm sure you'll feel great when those are done!:wizard:

Bernadette - feel better! What time do you leave tomorrow?
Thanks! Our flight is at 9:15. We'll take the 6:15 boat to Logan. My friend Dorinda lives about a block from the boat so her DS will drive us there and I'll leave my car at her house rather than pay the $6/day parking. Only problem is there is a draw bridge between her house and the boat. It unlikely we will have a problem with that though just a fear in the back of our heads. This will get us to the airport a bit early but the next boat isn't until 7:15 and that would be a bit too tight.

OH...I keep forgetting to post this for Elizabeth:

I called and made a reservation for Pop for Emma & I 5/3 to 5/10 with a AAA discount on the room only. It was $681.81 total for the 7 nights but I had to pay a deposit of $104.23 for the first night. SO the weekends must be 92.65 before tax and the weekdays $84.15 before tax. Hoping for a AP discount.

I'm sorry to hear this, Jennifer. I've had a headache, too, for about a day - but I don't have an infant and a young child to worry about! I hope you get some relief soon.! :wizard:

I'm sure they came out great. I wish I was one of your neices. You have put so much time and effort into this trip. It will be so much fun.

Elizabeth good luck with the DING and HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

Bernadette have a great trip!!!

My dentist appointment went well. I asked about whitening my teeth. Because of the calcified front tooth I would need 2 venieers in the front plus the whitening treatments to the tune of $2100. I guess I'll just have to get used to my less than perfect smile. That price is nearly a trip to WDW for crying out loud :rotfl:

Bernadette, have a safe and fun trip.

Happy Anniversary!!!!

Happy Anniversary!!!! Elizabeth

Thanks!:)

THANK YOU Lindsay & Robyn!!! I saved another $87 on the flight to MCO!:cool1: So, if anyone was wondering if they DING the same flight more than once the answer is YES! Now we have a $99 credit to use on SW. Better than the little $12 credit I had from the first DING.:rotfl2:

Lindsay, I asked DH about coming back on the flight that gets in at 9:25 PM but that is just too late for him, and it would be late for DS, too. I dind't think we'd have any luck on the Sunday flight, but it was absolutely worth the drive home to get $87 on the flight to MCO!

Isn't May 3 the pin event at AK?:rolleyes1 I am glad you made a ressie! Now chop chop on those ADRs!;) :rotfl2:

I am so scattered. I meant to say:

Robyn I loved Lucy's pictures. She is such a cutie. I don't know how you put her down.

Karen. Good luck with surgery and finding a night attendant. :wizard: On the job search.
