The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 30

For those of you enablers that got Mary Jane Crocs, where did you order them from? I usually order shoes from Zappos, but they don't have any colors that I like.

I use shoebuy.com. They send me email discounts pretty regularly. You could try MEMBERDISCOUNT10 and see if that works for 10% off.

I googled shoebuy.com promo codes and Columbus07 came up for 20% off. There were other codes too.

I found a link to refer you. You should receive an email from them with a coupon code.

My sister stopped by our local farmers market yesterday and bought me a 1/2 gallon of apple cider.
No chemicals, no pasterurization, noting but fresh squeezed apples.

Poor Tom  was hoping that you were back to 100%
pixiedust: :wizard: pixiedust: that it doesn't hang on too much longer.

Good Morning DDA!

I am feeling a little bit better, not 100%, but maybe 50%. I have a feeling this one is here to stay for awhile.:sad2:

Deb, hope the doctor can get the UTI cleared up soon. :wizard:

Tammi, a few pages back I posted a code for free shipping at the Crocs website.

Sorry I am late replying, had a meeting with Riley's teachers.

It did the same with me, I just clicked continue & it went through fine.

I'm ordering water, candy and a couple of duffle bags (on clearance for $9.90 each) to take home our souveniers/Christmas presents. I can't get the website to accept Lake Buena Vista with the 32830 zip code. What did you use?

I received this in an email and thought it has some merit.

The following was written by Ben Stein and recited by him on CBS Sunday Morning Commentary.

My confession:

I am a Jew, and every single one of my ancestors was Jewish. And it does not bother me even a little bit when people call those beautiful lit u p, bejeweled trees Christmas trees. I don't feel threatened. I don't feel discriminated against. That's what they are: Christmas trees.

It doesn't bother me a bit when people say, "Merry Christmas" to me. I don't think they are slighting me or getting ready to put me in a ghetto. In fact, I kind of like it. It shows that we are all brothers and sisters celebrating this hap py time of year. It doesn't bother me at all that there is a manger scene on display at a key intersection near my beach house in Malibu. If people want a crche, it's just as fine with me as is the Menorah a few hundred yards away.

I don't like getting pushed around for being a Jew, and I don't think Christians like getting pushed around for being Christians. I think people who believe in God are sick and tired of getting pushed around, period. I have no idea where the concept came from that America is an explicitly atheist country. I can't fi nd it in the Constitution and I don't like it being shoved down my throat.

Or maybe I can put it another way: where did the idea come from that we should worship Nick and Jessica and we aren't allowed to worship God as we understand Him? I guess that's a sign that I'm getting old, too. But there are a lot of us who are wondering where Nick and Jessica came from and where the America we knew went to.

In light of the many jokes we send to one another for a laugh, this is a little different: This is not intended to be a joke; it's not funny, it's inte nded to get you thinking.

Billy Graham's daughter was interviewed on the Early Show and Jane Clayson asked her "How could God let something like this happen?" (regarding Katrina) Anne Graham gave an extremely profound and insightful response.
She said, "I believe God is deeply saddened by this, just as we are, but for years we've been telling God to get out of our schools, to get out of our government and to get out of our lives. And being the gentleman He is, I believe He has calmly backed out. How can we expect God to give us His blessing and His protection if we demand He leave us alone?"

In light of recent events...terrorists attack, school shootings, etc. I think it started when Madeleine Murray O'Hare (she was murdered, her body found recently) complained she didn't want prayer in our schools, and we said OK.
Then someone said you better not read the Bible in school. The Bible says thou shalt not kill, thou shalt not steal, and love your neighbor as yourself. And we said OK.

Then Dr. Benjamin Spock said we shouldn't spank our children when they misbehave because their little personalities would be warped and we might damage their self-esteem (Dr. Spock's son committed suicide). We said an expert should know what he's talking about. And we said OK.

Now we're asking ourselves why our children have no conscience, why they don't know right from wrong, and why it doesn't bother them to kill strangers , their classmates, and themselves.

Probably, if we think about it long and hard enough, we can figure it out. I think it has a great deal to do with "WE REAP WHAT WE SOW."

Funny how simple it is for people to trash God and then wonder why the world's going to hell. Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says. Funny how you can send 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire but when you start sending messages regarding the Lord, people think twice about sharing. Funny how lewd, crude, vulgar and obscene articles pass freely through cyberspace, but public discussion of God is suppressed in the school and workplace.

Are you laughing?

Funny how when you forward this message, you will not send it to many on your address list because you're not sure what they believe, or what they will think of you for sending it.

Funny how we can be more worried about what other people think of us than what God thinks of us.

Pass it on if you think it has merit. If not then just discard it... no one will know you did. But, if you discard this thought process, don't sit back and complain about what bad shape the world is in. My Best Regards.
Honestly and respectfully,

Ben Stein

It wouldn't let me continue so I changed Lake Buena Vista to Orlando and it went through. Since I used Disney's Pop Century in the address line I think even the USPS can find it :rotfl:

Hope Leslie is feeling better :wizard:

I thought so too! Leslie was up quite a bit with a nasty cough. Guess I'll have to refill her prescription strength cough medicine! I'm thinking a nap this afternoon!

Deb the Dr. needs to give you some turbo action medicine or something. You need to feel better before next week :wizard:

It appears that my UTI has reappeared which means that it never actually fully went away. The doctor can't see me before my scheduled appointment tomorrow so hopefully she will call in a new prescription and get things rolling. The nurse said the last culture showed EColi :scared: so I really hope they give me something that will totally clear it up.

Sounds like fun, have a wonderful time Glynis!

I'm giving my notice, now! I'm leaving tomorrow morning for New Mexico. I'll be back sometime Sunday. So, today will be taken up with errands, laundry and packing. I'll keep checking in, though. I hope you all have great days!!!

Pixie dust and prayers to all who need them!

Deb - feel better soon!!!!

Glynis - have a ball in New Mexico. :)

Hi!!!

Today I had my follow up othropedist appt for my back. I told him I am still having pain even with the PT 2x a week. He says I should continue the PT & get an MRI to see whats going on. It was very bad last week but yesterday & today it has subsided so hopefully my pt is working. So anyway I asked him for a script for a refill of my pain meds since I am going to be in Disney & want to have them just in case. So he says "Do you have to go to Disney?" I'm like "yah" (said in my best Crush voice). Then he says "Well do you have to go to the parks?" I'm like "yah" again. He just shook his head...:sad2:
Hey, if I am well enough to work, I am well enough to go to Disney dang it! :lmao:

So after that fun, I headed over to the Disney store..nope can't keep me outta that place! I got Sophie the fushia Jasmine costume & crown. She was going to wear Katies old witch costume but she has wanted to be Jasmine since last year & she has always worn Katies hand-me-downs so I wanted to surprise her with it. (she has been so helpful in the house, setting the table, putting her clothes away without being asked among other good chores) With my cast member discount & the fact that it was 25% off already I couldn't pass it up. So I pull it out of the bag when she got home from school, & she went crazy. She kept saying thank you & its so beautiful! It looked so cute on her. She didn't want to take it off.

Katie got a 95 on a algebra test.:cheer2:

Daniel went to TaeKwonDo & received his stars for uniform. You earn the stars for school work, work in the TKD class, & for behavior at home.

I am babysitting my neighbors 3 year old twins tomorrow afternoon so that should be fun!

Still not packed!!!!!

I thought you said your doctor got the whole Disney thing. Shame on him! Hope the PT works! Good news for everyone else in the family, and your story of Sophie's reaction was so cute. Good luck with the twins!

Oh, and I won't be packed until the night before. ;)

Hi All,
It's been a wild few months in our house. I know I have not been around much but I could use a little DDA
If you all could send out a little "you can do it" vibe and a small "peace be with you" vibe, that would be great. We got Bethie's meds today and I need the courage to give her the shot, she needs the peace for getting the shot.
Thank you

P.S. if you hear a loud scream later tonight, it might be Bethie. ;)

I hope it went well last night, Paula. I'm sure the first shot is the hardest on both, and then it should get easier from there. :wizard:  for you and Bethie.

I'm thinking Joe would LOVE to swim in the pool too but I don't know if I'm up for bringing a wet swim suit to FL. He's never been in an indoor pool and he would think it was the coolest thing to swim in MA in January.

I so remember those days of just loving to swim - whenever and wherever! Pack that ziploc bag for the swimsuit, and let the good times roll! :goodvibes

I forgot to tell you guys that I broke down and bought Mickey Crocs yesterday. I ordered them from shoebuy.com with my 20% off coupon and they have already been shipped.:thumbsup2

I bought some not long ago, too. Don't forget to those of you that want them - you can also get them discounted on DisneyShopping if you have a coupon. I bought mine a while back when they were doing 20% off sitewide, plus I got free shipping since I was buying some other stuff, too. :thumbsup2

Hi! Just checking in before I leave in the morning for Charleston, SC for my girls only weekend. :goodvibes I've been so busy I can't remember which direction I'm going in. Probably all. All at once! :lmao: I'll catch up with you when I return next week. Good vibes coming to all. I've been thinking about you. I just haven't had time to check in. Have a great week and weekend! :goodvibes

Have a great trip, Kim! :yay:

Anne Marie - let me know what you've decided to get your kids. I'll need some ideas for mine. Of course I haven't even told them yet and the guilt is starting to get to me. But only for a minute!! I'll promise to bring them back a great surprise and they will be fine.

I'm finally starting to fret about the trip and getting things done. This weekend will be spent getting a pedicure and doing our shirts. Tonight we talked about what we will be taking. I also showed myBob the Mug Men thread. His response...."I don't drink coffee." Hello!!! I do! And so does Chanon!! I think he is straight now. ;) Tomorrow I'm going to email him the Official Packing List and hopefully we should be good to go.

Sounds like you guys are getting ready!

For you and Anne Marie - I was reading a thread a couple of weeks ago on the whole "pick a pearl" thing in the Japan pavilion, as well as at DTD. Now, that may be something you actually want to physically do with your girls, so maybe it's not appropriate this time around, but it sounds really cool!

Thanks for the Columbus07 shoebuy.com promotional code, Deb! I just ordered black Mary Janes and with that code, free shipping and the member discount they only cost me $23!!

TAMMI - Join Shoebuy.com and you can get them for that cost too.

very true

Lindsay not sure if you get online while at work, but I sent you a PM!

I got my red Maryjanes in the mail today :cool1: I wore them to work tonight and they feel great. Only time will tell how they effect my knees, but they seem to fit much better than the regular crocs since they are narrower. One of my coworkers said they looked "girly" :rotfl: :rotfl:

Yay - I'm glad you like them. I do think with them being narrower that they do a better job of keeping your foot in place, so maybe that will also help these be easy on your knees. :thumbsup2

I have her on speed dial on my cell phone so we can call her and actually sing to her :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 ;)

Great idea!!!

OMG we go to Disney NEXT WEEK!!!!!!

8 more days people. 8 more days!!!!!!!!

I am 40 pages behind. Have a load of laundry in the dryer. :laundy: :laundy:

I am so excited I can not sleep. I am craving honey barbeque chips. Water is just not doing it for me. There are 4 empty bottles, and I'm working on number 5. I still want chips!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

Maybe I need to go to bed. Good night.....

Woo hoo!:woohoo: :woohoo:

So sorry you were craving chips - I hope you didn't float away last night!

I'm so bad - I bought some Halloween candy because it was on sale, and purposely only opened the bag with the candy in there that I didn't really like so I wouldn't be tempted. Of course, I discovered last night in a moment of desperation that I actually DO like some of that candy. :rotfl:

Good morning!

Boy did the night ever go fast.

I hear you - I am so bleary-eyed today!

Good morning...I've been reading along but it's been a rough few days here. Lucy has diarrhea (probably to much info), so I've been keeping a close eye on her. I think she is teething as she doesn't have a fever and is drooling constantly. Molly has been in rare form and not taking a nap which gives me no break. But on the upside Emma is doing better with her overall attitude.

I'm sending out 's and :wizard: to all that need it. And to the ones leaving next week  I'm not the least bit jealous:rolleyes1 You all are going to have a great time.

I'm sorry to hear that Lucy has been sick, Robyn. :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for all of you!

Robyn - the upside of all that is going on in your lives right now is that you are at 100 days before your vacation!! Look at your ticker!! :yay:

I noticed that, too! :thumbsup2

Morning everyone!!!

This time next week, I'm hoping I'm on a plane to Atlanta!!! (Confirmed standby IS going to happen...confirmed standby IS going to happen!!!) ...if not, I'll still be at the airport. but almost to Disney!!!!

I hope it works out, Chanon!

Question for you - you had mentioned that Southwest doesn't do standby - so if I went to the airport and tried to get on an earlier flight with them next week (I'm flying on a Rewards ticket), would they let me on if there is a seat open?

Glad you got it to work!

It wouldn't let me continue so I changed Lake Buena Vista to Orlando and it went through. Since I used Disney's Pop Century in the address line I think even the USPS can find it :rotfl:
