Thanks for all the prayers for Rees.
Continued prayers for Rees and the entire family. Hope he can get in to see the specialist soon!!! Goodluck with his ENT proceedure!:wizard:

I am having a crummy day. I took Princess to Dollar Tree to get her out of the house - they have a TON of Winnie the Pooh stuff! But I digress...
SOMEBODY put an enormous ding on the Black Pearl. It is on the passenger front quarterpanel - it is down to the metal and the metal is actually dented in. I didn't notice it until we were home, and I don't know for sure that's where it happened.

Also got a call from DS. On the online grades last night I saw that he had a 33 in math for one paper. They are supposed to be allowed to re-do any paper and get a 70. Never any grades lower than 70 is what we were told at Open House. Well, he has a 33, a 56ish, and now today he was told he gets a ZERO for something but he doesn't know what it is! OK, I get that he has ADD but this "I don't know" is driving me over the edge. I was thinking of NOT going to the school tonight but now I am going to be forced to go find out what the HE,um,CK is going on. If the teacher KNOWS he has trouble WHY can't he pitch in just a little bit? I was dead set against Honors math to start with, and this is NOT changing my mind! :headache: DS also doesn't know anything about his band grade and doesn't know anything about an assignment in Social Studies that was showing as incomplete or another that was showing that needed to be made up by tomorrow. I don't think I have the strength to get through 6th grade. :sad2:
So sorry about the Black Pearl. Don't know how someone can do that. :sad2:

Good luck with school tonight!!!

I have checked in & printed my boarding pass :yay:
WOW! That must make it seem real!

I have about 20 hours of work to do before we leave at 5pm tomorrow night. I'm not sure it is going to get done. What do you think? I needed a break so I stopped in here to catch up. I still am not packed and I haven't ironed on our shirts. It shouldn't take me more than an hour to pack because I have a packing list that I created 4 years ago and I keep up-to-date after each trip. It is printed and on the counter. I've been adding things slowly since Sunday.
Goodluck with work. Hope you can get enough done to relax on your trip!

Sorry I have been up to my ears lately.
Still pretty much 10 & 12 hour days.
Leave the house at 7:30 A.M get home around 8 or 9.
Would someone please P.M me this weekends plans.
I will try to pop-in for a get together either Sat or Sun.
Weather is to be dry in the low 80's.
Hope you get to slow down sometime soon!

Elin- I know I'm late but :wizard: for Kathrin. I sure hope today went well for her.

Chanon and thisBob- Congrats!

Elizabeth- Sorry to hear about the Black Pearl, I can feel your pain. Stupid people:headache:

Denise- Continued prayers for Rees.

Vicki- I sure hope you can enjoy your trip and not have to worry about work.

Beth- Hi!! Thanks for popping in!

Jo- Hi, it's good to see you if just for a quick pop in

I am home from conferences.

The math teacher said DS can make up the 33 and the 56, plus the page he missed yesterday while he was on a field trip. So that's all good. He also said if DS is earning a solid "C" in the class then he is doing fine and learning what he needs to learn. OK.

The Social Studies teacher explained what's up in her class. He still has one low grade for an incomplete assignment last Tuesday, but today he got a 95. Nobody seems to know what was incomplete last week. The group project that he got a low grade on wasn't entirely his fault so she said he can do some extra credit and make up some points for that.

The band director wasn't there and the brass instructor has no knowledge of anything that goes on in percussion, so there you have it. :confused3
Sounds like you got some answers but still somes things up in the air-how frustrating. Hope you can hunt down the band director soon.

I seem to be a funk and just can't get out of it.

Robyn - I'm sorry you are feeling burned out.:guilty: I can't even imagine having kids in my house all day. I like it much better that I go to their house, and at the end of the day I come home to MY house. I can see how not having that separation would make burnout pretty likely! The kids go home, but you don't get the benefit of a change of venue.

Bernadette - I thought of your Lizzy no less than 50 times today at Dollar Tree. Do you have a store near you? They had Pooh pencils, erasers, stickers, light-up pens, figures, notebooks, yo-yo's, window clings, and probably more stuff that I don't recall.

Bernadette - I left a note on the sign-in sheet for the band director that I want to know why DS only got an 80. I noticed another mom who signed in several lines above me had the same exact question. I left him 2 phone #s and my e-mail so we'll see if he responds.

There is one near my sister but that is about 45 miles away. I still need to return a pair of shorts for DH near there. I bought them at the Nautica outlet and asked if they ran a bit big and the clerk said no but they are too big. The sales slip says "return with reciept anytime" so I haven't been in a real rush. I may have to make that trip soon!

There is one opening up that I will pass everyday on my way to/from work. I was all excited last week when I saw the "coming soon" sign was down but the store still isn't open. But hopefully very soon.

Deb's Hunter is a Pooh fanatic too and myEmma and Vicki are Tigger fans.

Thanks Bernadette!! Didn't you have a big meeting today? If you did how did it go. I could be completely out of my mind.

Exactly Elizabeth. Can you please explain that to my DH

And I now have to fit a trip to the Dollar Tree in. :rolleyes1

Hope that Band Director gets back to you.

Robyn I went through that feeling when I was taking in more kids. It just wasn't the right occupation for me. I still have my neice and nephew, but they are family and I don't have them nearly as much as I used to. For me it was also a need to get out and communicate with adults. Going back to work at the Restaurant, working nights when Chris can watch the kids and having the ability to work only nights that are convenient was the ticket for me. If we need more money, I can work more nights, if I want more time at home then I schedule lighter. I'm sure that there is a job out there for you, keep your eyes open as it may not be in a field that you had ever considered. I NEVER thought that I'd be a 38 year old waitress, but it fits the bill for now.

I think we have about 6 stores that are all no more than 15 minutes from my house in various directions. MyEmma loves Eeyore ever since he tried to take her purple sneakers.

My big meeting isn't until 10/29 but everything will pretty much be done by then but oh so much to do before then.:scared1: I will be more than ready for my trip!

So at 8:45 I loosened my sweatpants to form the must have "plumbers crack" and tackled the leaking sink. Chris actually helped so it wasn't as miserable as it could have been  I think the plumber's butt inticed him to help :lmao: I did not get as much done today as I had hoped, but I'll work on it in the morning since I need to be up very early to check in for our flight. I still plan to find time to do my nails at some point ;) Nick asked if he could go with us to the airport and was disappointed to find out the we will be leaving the car there. Hunter has mentioned several times that he is going to miss us and that he wishes he could come :upsidedow I know that they will have fun with my parents and they can call whenever they want too so all should be fine.

Thanks Deb. Whatever "it" is I will take it! And I have a few things that are sort of presenting themselves so we'll see!!

Well I was half paying attention! :rotfl: It will be here before you know it!!

My new Baggallini bag came today.

http://www.bagsbuy.com/s.jsp/br_Baggallini/b_2-1381.null-1381.104617/p_5/st_207566/sbstl_455685

I like the looks of it and think I will really like. I have the cell phone case that I now use all the time and really like it. This new bag will hold my cell phone, credit cards, tickets, batteries, memory sticks and sunglass clips.

I love my Baggallini Messenger. Even Eric likes it! They are great bags.

I think I'll read a bit then head to bed. I need to be up at O'Dark 30 to check in for our flight. I won't get much sleep tomorrow night either.

Have you seen the Eeyore Hallmark ornament? It's really cute!

MyEmma fell in love with Tigger on her first trip at 11 1/2 months. My friend from FL was at Joe's birthday lunch at CP with us and said they should tape Emma with Tigger for a commercial. Tigger spent a long time with her and she just LOVED him!
