It's official!!! thisBob and I are homeowners!!!! :cool1: :dance3: :cheer2:

Woo Hoo!!! That's exciting. We should all have a drink in your honor :thumbsup2 I have been trying to come up with a good reason to drink on a Tuesday and you just gave me a great one ;)

I thought that I was making great progress until the kids got home. They put everything to a grinding halt altough I do have a turkey soup simmering and a turkey noodle casserole in the oven. I also discovered that one side of my kitchen sink is leaking so that gives me another project once Chris gets home. Oh no, he won't fix the sink, but he can occupy the kids

Thanks for all the well wishes for Joe's eye. It was a bit green this morning.

Yeah. And maybe the moon will fall out of the sky.
:lmao: Oh...that reminds me of something Emma told me last week. "Mommy if you take a spaceship to out of space in the day you see the moon and if you take a spaceship to out of space at night you see the sun." :rotfl:

ughhh..my grandmother just called and said my grandfather (the one that is sick) thinks he sprained his wrist. My grandma wanted me to get ini touch with my mom and shes not answering..i just hate being an hour away from them!
:wizard: Hope he's OK!

You need to print up Disney Planner Extraordinaire business cards and slip them in peoples bags as they check out. ;)
Those would be great!

So i iwont be around much tomorrow--im working, then i have a meeting at work about a child in my class..then my mom and i are going down the shore for dinner wth my grandparents for my bday...no clue when we will be home!
Hope you have a nice dinner!

Chris and I finally signed our Will's.
Good for you!! We really need to update ours. We had an appointment to do it and then the guy got sick. We need to get going on that.

Everybody should have a PM waiting with their names for the ornament exchange.

A reminder $5 minimum before shipping and let's have the packages to their recipients before Thanksgiving.

Thanks all!!!
Thanks so much for doing this!

I am finally starting to feel better! Thanks for all the good thoughts!

I am going to list a couple of Leighanna's outfits that I made on Evil-Bay this weekend. I hope to make a few dollars for a down payment for a "proposed" trip either next summer, or possibly early December of next year! :woohoo:

To all those that I have missed, lots of prayers and pixiedust to you all!
I'm so glad you're finally feeling better!

You'll do great on EBay!

Hi everyone!'

va2.jpg
I'm so happy to hear you're having a great time!

You guys look awesome!!!!!!!!!!

Spaceship Earth looks so naked!
I didn't think it looked too bad in real life.

I woke up at 4:30 this morning in a cold sweat as I was thinking that I had forgotten to checkin with SW. Of course I can't check in until 6:30 AM TOMORROW morning. Isn't it funny what thing come to us in the middle of the night.
I've done that and more than once BUT...I've never really forgotten-just the wake up in a panic thing.

if there is any spare PD floating around the DDA could I ask that some be sent winging its way to Boston? Kathrin has landed and is checked into the Omni. She has a 3 hour interview this afternoon with one company and another long interview with the second company tomorrow morning.

She will get back into the Richmond airport tomorrow night about 9:45 and will meet Kristin and Bob and me at the Doubletree there instead of driving home and then back again Thursday morning. So, it will feel like our vacation starts tomorrow too! :woohoo:
:wizard: It is a beautiful fall day here today!

I called for a car service to pick me up & take me to the airport.

$90!!!:scared1:

Dana wanted to drive me but I have to leave here at 5:45am to make the flight & I don't want to disrupt the kids schedules. I also think it would be hard for them to see me go to the airport without them....

Now I have my fingers crossed that the car will show up on time.
My flight is at 9am!!!!!
It would cost me more than that. It is worth the $90 not to disrupt the kids!

Oh, by the way. October travelers...just a warning..

I cry at everything ...I cry at Illuminations, Wishes, Fantasmic, all parades, pretty much everything. ok????? Don't point & laugh, just get me a tissue!:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:
No pointing but someone has to take a picture! Did you cry at Fantasmic? I didn't notice or I would have taken a photo.:rotfl2:

well see. My mom thinks sat the 20th. I told her she could not come before the 21st as that is when are pay raises go into effect. that way my short term disability which is 60% of my pay will be off the new rate and not the old one. I know silly right.
Not silly at all.

I just got a call from my OB I am GBS neg.:cool1:
I was Positive with Olivia and got Antibiotics. Well the Antibotic of choice is Penicillin which I have since become allergic to. So I am happy that I dont have to stress about getting another Antibiotic and getting enough doses in or enough time in after the first dose. NO Blood cultures and CBC on Virginia.
:cool1:

If Leighanna's outfits are up for auction I can post auction updates, too.;)
Now that would fun!

It's official!!! thisBob and I are homeowners!!!! :cool1: :dance3: :cheer2:
:cool1: :woohoo: Congratulations! You should go to Disney to celebrate!

Congrats, Chanon!

Can anyone do Cliff Notes for the past few days? This is my first time here in a while.

Thanks for all the prayers for Rees.

How'd it go getting a GI appt?

Not a whole lot of stuff the last couple of days:

We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of Virginia

EVERYBODY(okay almost everybody) is getting ready to go to DW this weekend.

We've seen cute pics of a few of the DDA kiddos.

Elin's Katherin has 2 job interviews today and tomorrow in Boston.

Tammi's uncle passed and she is there for the viewing

Robyn's DH doesn't feel so hot and put a crimp in her day by being home (I think that happens to all of us)

Jen's grandpa is failing health wise:hug:

boy my brain is mush that's all I can remember.

Hi there!

Bill and I did that Keys to the Kingdom tour today...peaking out from one of the backstage buildings was the goofy statue!!!

I wanted to take a picture for you guys...but I was told "Cameras are off limits behind the scenes"

Bill was going to fall to the ground and cause a diversion so I could do it...but since we spent all the money at Victoria & Albert's, I decided bail money may be an issue!!!! :lmao::lmao:

They weren't sure when he was due to come back to Main Street.

It's HOT here....but it has begun to cloud up. I hear rain is on it's way.

This afternoon we also did the afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian. It was quite nice!

See y'all soon

How'd it go getting a GI appt?

Rees had a good weekend, and my parents came to visit. He had a bad flare-up yesterday afternoon/night. Today at school he cried towards the end of the day, and he was sick as soon as he got off the bus. He has had one more episode since then.

We are still waiting to get into Emory GI. Our Pediatrician has talked to the Doctor on Call in that practice and has faxed an urgent request for Rees to be seen ASAP. Unfortunately, they are completely booked as Cigna just dropped GI Care for Kids (the other major Atlanta Pediatric GI practice), and all those patients are scrambling to find a new provider. So, our Pediatrician is also going to call Dr. Gold and a few others in Emory GI group tomorrow to press the issue. He said he will badger them until he gets us in. He was able to get us an appointment today with Dr. Meyers in GI Care for Kids. Dr. Meyers is the one that completely missed Rees’ gallbladder being blocked last year and passed it off as Rees being oversensitive to reflux pain since he is special needs. Needless to say, we didn’t take that appointment. I wonder why Dr. Meyers was the only one not completely booked?

So, pray that we can get into the Emory GI very soon. Right now we are just treading water and trying to hang on until Rees can be seen. Rees has his pre-op appointment tomorrow morning with ENT to have his nose cauterized again in out-patient surgery.

Tammi's uncle passed and she is there for the viewing Tammi, I'm so sorry. You're in my prayers. :grouphug:

Robyn's DH doesn't feel so hot and put a crimp in her day by being home (I think that happens to all of us) I hope he gets well soon.

Jen's grandpa is failing health wise:hug: I'm sorry, Jen. You and your family are in my prayers. I will pray that your grandpa doesn't suffer at all and can find peace. :grouphug:

boy my brain is mush that's all I can remember.
Thanks for the cliff notes!

It's official!!! thisBob and I are homeowners!!!! :cool1: :dance3: :cheer2:

Congrats!:yay:

Denise - I hope Rees can get in to the GI soon!!!:wizard:

I am having a crummy day. I took Princess to Dollar Tree to get her out of the house - they have a TON of Winnie the Pooh stuff! But I digress...
SOMEBODY put an enormous ding on the Black Pearl. It is on the passenger front quarterpanel - it is down to the metal and the metal is actually dented in. I didn't notice it until we were home, and I don't know for sure that's where it happened.

Also got a call from DS. On the online grades last night I saw that he had a 33 in math for one paper. They are supposed to be allowed to re-do any paper and get a 70. Never any grades lower than 70 is what we were told at Open House. Well, he has a 33, a 56ish, and now today he was told he gets a ZERO for something but he doesn't know what it is! OK, I get that he has ADD but this "I don't know" is driving me over the edge. I was thinking of NOT going to the school tonight but now I am going to be forced to go find out what the HE,um,CK is going on. If the teacher KNOWS he has trouble WHY can't he pitch in just a little bit? I was dead set against Honors math to start with, and this is NOT changing my mind! :headache: DS also doesn't know anything about his band grade and doesn't know anything about an assignment in Social Studies that was showing as incomplete or another that was showing that needed to be made up by tomorrow. I don't think I have the strength to get through 6th grade. :sad2:

I can cover posting silliness on Thursday and Friday. Saturday I hope to be busy all day with the marching band and have an event Sunday.....so can you pout post on Saturday???:lmao:

I can try to help on Saturday afternoon/evening, but won't be around for much mega-posting over the weekend either. Who's going to cover us then? ;)

To those of us who have children in our lives,
whether they are our own,
grandchildren,
nieces,
nephews,
or students...
here is something to make you chuckle.

Whenever your children are out of control,
you can take comfort from the thought that
even God's omnipotence did not extend
to His own children.

After creating heaven and earth,
God created Adam and Eve

And the first thing he said was
"DON'T! "

"Don't what? "
Adam replied

"Don't eat the forbidden fruit."
God said.

"Forbidden fruit?
We have forbidden fruit?
Hey Eve..we have forbidden fruit! "

" No Way! "

"Yes way! "

"Do NOT eat the fruit! "
said God.

"Why ? "
"Because I am your Father and I said so! "
God replied,
wondering why He hadn't stopped
creation after making the elephants.

A few minutes later,
God saw His children having an apple break
and He was ticked!

"Didn't I tell you not to eat the fruit? "
God asked.

"Uh huh,"
Adam replied.

"Then why did you? "
said the Father.
"I don't know,"
said Eve.
"She started it! "
Adam said.

"Did not! "

"Did too! "
"DID NOT! "

Having had it with the two of them,
God's punishment was that Adam and Eve
should have children of their own.

Thus the pattern was set and it has never changed.

BUT THERE IS REASSURANCE IN THE STORY!

If you have persistently and lovingly tried to give children wisdom and they haven't taken it,
don't be hard on yourself.

If God had trouble raising children,
what makes you think it would be
a piece of cake for you?

THINGS TO THINK ABOUT !

1. You spend the first two years of their life
teaching them to walk and talk. Then you spend
the next sixteen telling them to sit down and shut up.

2. Grandchildren are God's reward
for not killing your own children.

3. Mothers of teens now know why
some animals eat their young.

4. Children seldom misquote you.

In fact,
they usually repeat word for word
what you shouldn't have said.

5 The main purpose of holding children's parties
is to remind yourself that there are children
more awful than your own.

6. We childproofed our homes,
but they are still getting in.

ADVICE FOR THE DAY:

Be nice to your kids.
They will choose your
nursing home one day.

AND FINALLY:

IF YOU ! HAVE A LOT OF TENSION
AND YOU GET A HEADACHE,
DO WHAT IT SAYS
ON THE ASPIRIN BOTTLE:

"TAKE TWO ASPIRIN"
AND "KEEP AWAY FROM CHILDREN"!!!!!

Congrats!:yay:

You can make it. Definitely go tonight and see what is up. Make your presence known like we all know you can! ;) At the very least find out what the band grade is made up of so that you can keep an eye on that and also why the math pages aren't being redone for more. Good luck!

Denise - I hope that Emory can get you in ASAP!! Miles of :grouphug: and buckets of :wizard: to accompany all of our prayers.

Does anyone have the Disney attachable backpacks and lunchbags? Terra has a Buzz lunch box and I am thinking of getting her a backpack to attach it to for when we head out for activities. Do you think it would be too off-balance for her? Would I be better off with a regular backpack and just putting the lunch box inside for better balance? Thanks!!

So I decided to check grades on line to see if I needed to spend my Wednesday night in line to see a teacher at the high school and thankfully all grades but one are up!!!! Cassidy has been warned again to talk to her science teacher about the 0's she has on a couple of things but as I reminded her (and myself) these are her grades not mine.

Abi's C in math made a miraculous jump to an A...in fact Abi is carrying A's in all but one class...this one I am talking to the teacher about. But I already knew I was losing Thursday night to the Middle School. :rotfl2:

I keep reminding myself the grades are their's and their's alone...and that Cassidy isn't suffering from sophmore funk (or I should say flunk) and she will still get into a good school...she's just not going to be a scientist. :rotfl2:
