How much snow do you have so far?

I would say about an inch to 2 inches. I think alot of the closings were because it started snowing so close to morning rush hour. It is expected to snow throughout the A.M.. I am keeping my fingers crossed that Kevin and Amy aren't delayed. Oh to be headed to Orlando right now!!

I have no idea where the snow dance came from, but the kids do this anytime there is even a chance of snow---so far this year though they have only succeeded in keeping the snow away!!! They think it will definetely work this time !!

DH had to go and get Carli's birth certificate last year, bad mother that I am also, I did not send away for it when she was born and then forgot about it. DH was not exactly thrilled to have to go there on his lunch hour and after you actually request it you still have to wait for an hour for them to get it for you. Also not in the nicest of neighborhoods.

Alright I will be back, I have to go and finish my manicotti dinner I am making for a good friend of mine that just had a baby last week.

Okay, I'm checking in to thank everyone again for all the pixie dust regarding the house, compliments toward Alyssa's pictures, and well wishes for our trip!

You Cincinnati people better knock off that snow dance...if our flight is delayed, I'm blaming you, not Mother Nature!

We made an offer and after a little negotiating, we came to an agreement that will all be finalized upon our return!

So..... because of some glitches in a website ( ) I woke up at 2:50am for nothing because the reservation wouldn't work; then, I couldn't fall back asleep for ANYTHING.... so I'm going on about 1.5 hours of sleep today. Thankfully I dont have class until evening, but I need to study and my eyes are absolutely killing me

I got what I wanted/needed though, for the trip (eventually)!

OK All of you creative DDA people, I need a little help. Kyle is making his First Communion and I am making the invites myself---I bought plain cardstock at hallmark and it just has a little cross and a small design at the top. I'm having a little trouble w/ the wording, I don't want it to be super formal. Does anyone have any ideas, or suggestions???

Here's a little Disney humor to start off your day.......(I hope this doesn't offend. I changed the ending to make it as soft as I could.)




The Seven Dwarfs go to the Vatican, and because they are THE seven dwarfs, they are unsherd in to see the Pope.


Dopey leads the pack.


"Dopey, my son," says the Pope. "What can I do for you?"


Dopey asks, "Excuse me your Excellency, but are there any dwarf nuns in Rome?"


The Pope wrinkles his brow at the odd question, thinks for a moment and answers, "No, Dopey, there are no dwarf nuns in Rome."


In the background a few of the dwarfs start giggling.


Dopey turns around and gives them a glare, silencing them.

Dopey turns back and says "Your Worship, are there any dwarf nuns in all of Europe?"


The Pope, puzzled now, again thinks for a moment and then answers, "No, Dopey, there are no dwarf nuns in Europe."


This time, all of the other dwarfs burst into laughter.


Once again, Dopey turns around and silences them, with an angry glare.

Dopey turns back and says, "Mr. Pope! Are there ANY dwarf nuns anywhere in the world?"

"I'm sorry, my son, there are no dwarf nuns anywhere in the world."

The other dwarfs collapse into a heap, rolling and laughing, pounding the floor, tears rolling down their cheeks, as they began chanting.....
"Dopey slept with a penguin!"......

Please do. After Christmas I saw that Old Navy had Ginger Bread aprons on sale but I don't see them anymore. You could make aprons (or buy plain ones at Michaels) and put a design on them. I got the idea when I saw the aprons at Kohl's. They were on sale and the person in front of me at check out gave me a coupon so I think I paid about $6 each for them.

They had a lot of fun making the cookies. I couldn't get them to all look up at one time so I went with a photo of them holding the cookies with aprons on.

Here's the VERY preliminary first draft of our graduation announcement. I have a few things in mind I want to tweak and add to it, but you get the idea. It probably goes without saying, but Kate's recent designs (which were influenced by... Kristen's? please correct me if i'm wrong ) really inspired this. It's so simple, but I kind of like it

Well my b'day is off to a great start! I got the Barry Manilow new CD, HP Goblet of Fire DVD, a new pair of sunglasses, and a gorgeous silk floral shirt in yellows, pinks, and orange. It's beautiful! Kids were all excited and of course opened my presents for me.

Off to get my car inspection and our new car tags. Then home to make the cake and then dinner out! Yippee!

Thanks to all for the b'day wishes. I really appreciate it!

Well the boys got their wish, a snow day! No school today & they are already wound up Glad I work today How is the weather fairing for everyone else? Amy I hope you are not getting snowed in, you have a mouse to go see!

Snow day here too!!

Julia is NOT happy and neither is mommy!!!

They both want to go outside and play - and mean mommy told them no!! When you have a cough and snotty nose - you don't get to go play in the snow - and it REALLY doesn't help if your mom is a wimp and hates snow!!!!

Gotta share another funny kid story. Saturday my DD was outside with DH for hours and was really cold when she got in. I gave her Campbell's chicken soup and Spagetti O's for lunch. She says "Mommy, you are the best mommy in the whole world." "That is so nice Lizzy, why do you think that?" "You give me good food to eat."
