Love it! And, yes, I change my siggie again. Hi, Tammi!

A few years ago my youngest ds asked me how it was to live with the dinosaurs :earseek: I told him I wasn't that old :rotfl:

Last week Lizzy & I were brushing our hair and she said "Mom, in the old days, when you were a little girl, did you have a hair brush?". "Yes Lizzy I had a hair brush." "Well, there weren't any hair brushes when the dinosaurs were around right?". SO...I guess I'm not quite as old as a dino.

Okay - I guess it won't be very suspenseful now :sad2:

Not very suspenseful anyway. I think I knew about 5 minutes into the show that that person would be fired!

Well said & I agree that Jo has the right attitude :thumbsup2 I hope I feel this way in 6 years :teeth:

Here's a great example for those of you that are having a significant birthday this year. You need to look at Jo's signature - she is actually so excited about her upcoming birthday that she is counting down the days! Way to go Jo!!!! I felt the same about my 40th. I really feel that life is only improving for me. Age is a state of mind!!!!!

Happy Birthday Nancy!!!!

Graduation design is fantastic, Jennifer. Very professional.

Well, this has been quite a morning. I got Katie and Jacob out the door to the bus stop this morning, ran around doing laundry and dishes, and getting the twins dressed. Mondays are the day that I help out at the school doing the take-home reading project. We got there, did our bit, and left as soon as possible. Today is "early out" day, so I had to do all the shopping for the twins 4th birthday before Jacob came home early from kindergarten. We ran to the store, got the stuff for cake and ice cream, Winnie the Pooh burgers, Piglet's potato salad, and Owl's fruit salad, then zipped home. As I'm unloading groceries, I saw the light flashing on the answering machine. Then I heard my cell phone ring. Duh! I'd forgotten to take my cell phone with me.

I answer my cell phone, and it's DH. He tells me the school called him to let him know that Jacob slipped on the way to recess and fell into a brick wall. They told him that he had a gash on his forehead, and someone needed to pick him up right away. So, I buckle the twins back in the van, speed to the school with horrible visions flashing through my mind, and get there in record time. Jacob was sitting in the office, holding a bag of ice on his head. He had a gash about an inch long that was bleeding quite a lot (head wounds, you know?). So, I get him to the car, drop the twins off at my SIL's house, and take Jacob to the hospital. Meanwhile, Jacob is freaking out because he just doesn't want stitches. I didn't dare promise him that he wouldn't get any, because frankly, it looked pretty bad to me. The doctor confirmed what I thought, and I had to hold Jacob down while the dr. gave him 4 shots in his forehead (ouch!), and then 5 stitches. Poor little guy tried so hard to hold still, but he was crying hysterically!

Once it was over, we went to Wendy's for lunch, picked up the twins and came home. Whew! I need a nap. Jacob is white as a sheet, and has a headache from Hades! I'm hoping that the Motrin will kick in and he'll get some relief. Luckily, there was no sign of a concussion!

So, how's your day??????
Oh poor baby,
I hope Jacob feels better soon. :wizard: :grouphug:

Poor Jacob, hope he is feeling better soon :wizard: I remember the 1st time both of mine had to get stitches, no fun. The worst was when Riley cut his head open & instead of stitches they used a glue, never again! They said it would dissolve, never did. We had to cut his hair, so he had a nice bald spot for awhile  Hope the rest of your day was better :goodvibes

Hi Everybody;

Thanks for all of your kind words last night!!! I was really feeling "blue", but your words really helped cheer me up!! I know that I will probably have many more "blue" days before the day actually comes to actually comes to send DD off on her first day of school!!! I think I really need to have another baby & soon, I really just don't feel like our family is quite complete yet.

Kate- I definitely think that a back to school pity party lunch is in order, Carli's 1st day is Aug. 23, when do your kiddos start. She is going to Our Lady of Victory, but I have cousins that went to St. I's and DH has an aunt that teaches there.

I don't know what my problem is lately, I cannot sleep. So if anyone is on later, I'm sure I will be checking in.

My kids are currently sleeping w/ their jammies on backwards and they did the snow dance about 18 times tonight. I am sort of hoping for a snow day, but I know that by 10 A.M. I will be

Julie :goodvibes

Hope it all works out for you :wizard: Sounds pretty promising, good luck!

Kevin just called the owners of the house we looked at last night to set up a meeting for tonight...she said that as soon as we left, her husband said, "Those are the people I want to buy our house!" :goodvibes

They even cancelled their meeting with a realtor today, stating they think they already have a buyer. :sunny:

So, it seems all that's left to do is agree on a number...

Oh, and sell our house and pray that all the financing goes through!!!

Amy :)

I soooo envy you right now!

KMH1 said:
Yep, we'll be back on the 28th. Kevin even plans on going to his council meeting that evening, so I'll be online in a deep depression. ;)

I have never heard that before and you are the second person today I have heard say that - where did that come from?!!?

I am not sure when they start but I think it is after labor day -

although since I am the world's WORST mom and just realized last week that I never got a copy of Nick's birth certificate - he might not be going - I have to go downtown to get the certificate but with him being so sick I haven't had a chance to go - I told them I was waiting on it and they said they would hold his spot but I need to get there soon!!

Denise sorry to hear you're still not feeling well :( Hope tommorrow is better for you. Here is extra :wizard: that you do not have a kidney stone!

I taught all weekend, so I'm wiped. BK is much better. I am falling apart. I still have pink eye, sinus/ear infection, but I also either have another kidney stone or a kidney/bladder infection. My antibiotic should take care of it if it's the 2nd one. If it's a kidney stone, I just wait it out.

I hope you can get it worked out, you deserve it :goodvibes

Better, but if I could go to WDW in May it would be perfect! Still working on it...

I have no idea where the snow dance came from, but the kids do this anytime there is even a chance of snow---so far this year though they have only succeeded in keeping the snow away!!! They think it will definetely work this time ;) !!

DH had to go and get Carli's birth certificate last year, bad mother that I am also, I did not send away for it when she was born and then forgot about it. DH was not exactly thrilled to have to go there on his lunch hour and after you actually request it you still have to wait for an hour for them to get it for you. Also not in the nicest of neighborhoods.

Alright I will be back, I have to go and finish my manicotti dinner I am making for a good friend of mine that just had a baby last week.

Wonderful pictures, thank you for sharing. Alyssa is a Doll! I love the picture of her at the bridge, priceless :goodvibes

If anyone's really bored, I just rediscovered a website my sister dedicated to Alyssa. She hasn't updated it in awhile, and it made me all sentimental, because my baby is going to be 2 on April 3rd!!! :goodvibes
