Hi, everyone. Well, the meeting with the lawyer was a mixed bag. He thinks we have a case, but isn't sure going to court is our best option. He wants us to consider just reapplying, but the application process is about a year's wait. I don't think we want to take that chance. So, DH and I are talking about going to court. It's extremely expensive which is also a consideration. It's been a rough day emotionally going over all of Rees' issues. So, DH took me and the kids out to dinner for Valentine's Day. During dinner they dimmed the lights, and Rees freaked out (dark enclosed place like the scary rides at Disney). Took all of dinner to calm him down. Was just another reminder of what we're fighting for. I held it together until after they went to bed, and then I lost it. I am so drained. He's not doing well at school, he's "off" at home. I am so emotionally spent. Thanks for listening and for the prayers.

Does Unka Hunka need to take a "road trip" this weekend...

Sending :wizard: and :grouphug: to everyone. I know you can all use them.

Ok, so I'm not caught up. Not even sure when I last posted. Not sure I am cohrent enough to post. I'm sorry if this post is scatter brained. I just want to update you on my life without breaking down in tears due to frustration.

Forget all of us...:wizard: and :grouphug: to you! How sweet that you thought of all of us first despite everything that you have going on. I hope that the few days since you originally posted (I haven't caught up either) have seen some improvement. Much more :wizard: that all of the stress in your life clears up some and quickly!

OK.
The D is final.
I still need to wait for these things to go through.
Before we can move.

House to sell before we can go anywhere.
I can't pay a morgage & rent.

Child support to go into inforcement.
Garnish from his paycheck, direct deposit to my account.
Before we can move out of state.

We are hoping all goes through fast.

I feel free :hippie: , but still trapped. :crowded:

:grouphug: Jo. (I love the new signature and tag BTW, it says so much about where you are in your life now.) I hope that all of these yucky little details work themselves out soon. I know the delays must be hard for you and Ramiro. I just know that he is being great about it and supportive of his mom. You are both lucky to have each other to with. :wizard: for speed and final resolution of everything so that you and Ramiro can move on to the next - happier - phase of your lives.

Denise,

:grouphug: :wizard: :grouphug: :wizard: :grouphug: :wizard:

You are in our thoughts and prayers!
Amy, Kevin, Alyssa, and July 14 :)

Oh, Denise, my sympathies are with you! What a difficult thing for you all to go through. Keep your spirits up, and remember to pray about your decision. Rees is also a child of God, and He will help you make the best decision for Rees.

I'm sorry that your Valentine dinner was stressful. Is there anything we can do to help? Need any research done? Prayers are being said for you and Rees and your whole family. I just wish that I was closer so that I could help more in real life. My heart just breaks when I think that you are going through all of this. Please know that we love you and think you are the best mom in the world! Never forget that there is a reason that God gave you those precious babies. He knew you could handle anything that came up regarding them. And you are! I know that at times it feels like you are sinking and not swimming, but with the help of Heaven, you can do ANYTHING!

Glad you're home safe and had a good time...but the burning question: Did you or did you not have a Dole Whip ? :teeth:

Welcome home Tia! Can't wait to see pictures!

Marti, you really have to stop! Every time you mention a dole whip, it makes me crave ice cream, and we all know Kevin isn't taking care of my "needs" until I'm 5 months pregnant!!!

Curses!!! All you have to do is say it and I want it!!!

Even though Kevin is already "out and about" (he's at a city council meeting), there's no way he's going to drive all over town for Chick-fil-a and ice cream! Even if it is Valentine's Day!!!

Speaking of Chik-Fil-A, I drove by one on my way to bowling on Friday and thought of you all. I haven't been there, because I can't have fried foods for another 4 months, but once I can, I'll be making a trip. Tell me, does this place have any grilled chicken sandwiches, salads, etc.? What would my kids like there? Suggestions? I'm anxious to try it out!

Denise,

I'm so sorry you are going through such a difficult time. I can only imagine how hard it is to see one of your children suffering so much. And then when there are financial difficulties on top of that, and you are denied the help that you need and deserve, life just doesn't seem fair at all. I wish there was something I could do to help, and if there ever is, please ask. All 3 of your kids are so lucky to have such wonderful parents, and the love you all have for each other shows through all of your posts. You are and continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.

Ellen

Sorry I can't help Glynis - my only experience is the Orlando airport and my stomach was messed up so I didn't even look at the menu board. You've got to wait for the die-hards to post.

Since I can't have it either, I'll just write about it. I believe your kids would love the nuggets...real chicken and very yummy. Waffle fries and lemonade are great too. Yes, there are also healthier options like grilled chicken and wraps. I don't remember salads on the menu (I never look at the menu...it's a given I'm ordering a #1 :teeth: ), but I'm sure with all the other fast food chains having salads, that Chick-fil-a has a couple choices on their menu.

Now why is it that I can write about junk food but I can't compose a PM with my thoughts on censorship? :confused3

I'll check back tomorrow. My parents were in town through today, and have hounded me to the point of distraction about my swollen lymph nodes - and then promptly got home and began sending me links on symptoms of lymphoma! :sad2: I know they're just concerned, but it is definitely affecting my mood and positive outlook. I think I may have to do the biopsy sooner rather than later to get them off my back.

 Lindsay! Don't let them drive you too crazy. Phil has had similar issues for going on 4 years now. Like you, all of the other testing came back inconclusive or normal so we play the "observation" game. I think that your positive attitude and fair in your doctor will help you a lot. I've perfected the answer "there's nothing new and nothing of note" to the frequent questions, especially from my grandmas, about how Phil is doing.

Come one, as a former teacher, I thought you'd jump on the censorship project. I'll wait. The prof. is very understanding, and he's loved some of the stuff that I've gotten from you guys.

I may have to try Chick-Fil-A this Friday after bowling. I'll let you know about the salads.

Did this one for Tomskatt and his DDs MAW trip.

That is wonderful, Denise! If I wanted to use it for a card or shirt or something, would you mind? I have just been sitting here trying to think of something special that I could do for a family that we met this weekend. They were on our flight down to Orlando for their DD's wish trip and then we ran into them again the next day at Epcot. I wanted to do something special for the kids, but hadn't come up with anything yet. This would make a great "something" (whenever I figure out what that is) to go with it.

Let me sleep on it...maybe I'll feel refreshed and coherent in the morning! :goodvibes (of course, this morning my morning sickness was so bad I threw up twice ...probably TMI :crazy2: )

Oh, was I supposed to be coherent in my pm to Glynis? I didn't know that was a requirement! :lmao: Oh well, I got a pm back from Glynis so she must have understood! She must understand incoherence! :lmao:

Welcome home!!! Sounds like you had fun, even though it was kind of cold! Can't wait to hear all about it! Hope your DH had some good de-stressing time as well.

Thanks, Glynis. We really did. Phil actually missed us too! :D Usually, he enjoys the first day or two of quiet before being sad that we're gone. This time he said that he was lonely within the day. Poor guy, it's a double edged sword for him - he's stressed and miserable when we're around and lonely and miserable when we're gone - he just can't catch a break.
