I had that birthday a couple of years ago. It isn't bad at all!!!! I had my biggest party ever. It was a great celebration.

Thank you, Vicki. That's exactly what I needed to hear, and Nancy might be feeling the same way!

Have a great week!

I hope all the DDAs that are sick or who have sick children are better today!

Nick, Olivia, BK (and Denise!) and all others: pixiedust: pixiedust: for fast recoveries.

So Kate, tell me what it is about BWV that you like better than BCV. I have to choose one. Or maybe availability will make my decision for me.
Kate - You must have missed this in all the talk about pregnant bellies last night, so I'm bumping it in hopes you see it this AM.

Plus I get to quote myself. :teeth:

Good Morning My DDA Friends :)

I have missed hanging out with ya'll on here but life has been a bit busy. I am going to make a long story short with little drama.

1. My stepdaughter (Melissa), her husband and my grandaugher (Haley, 6)have been living with us since mid-Feb. Let's just say they are re-grouping financially and will probably be with us for about 6 months.
2. My stepson (Sam) has moved back in with us........not by his own doing but by the suggestion of his wife. They are having some marital problems to work thru. I think 50% of their problems have to do with his mother-in-law that they have been living with. My son has a little boy, Jake (3) and he is really missing his family. Did I mention my daughter-in-law is due to have a baby in 5 days!!!! My son Sam and Lindsy are getting along good. We were all at the hospital Saturday night until Sunday morning and then sent home since the contractions stopped and she was only dialated 3cm. There is so much drama to go into with this situation that I could write forever about it. Let's just say he has a very needy mother-in-law and if she isn't the center of attention then there starts the problems.

Of course then there is my husband and my two boys. We are adjusting well. I am doing everything I can to be sure that my older kids problems do not effect my younger two. So far so good. My older kids have been mine that I have raised since they were in K and 2nd grade so I love them as my own.

Anyway............that is what I am doing and going thru right now so any prayers that can be said for Sam and Lindsy and their marraige I would really appreciate it.

Did ya'll notice my ticker.....11 days until our cruise!!!

By for now..........Lynn

Did you call yet?!?!

BCV has never been available when I call - so I will be shocked if you get it - so i ahve never actually stayed there -

If you are big swimmers - I would opt for BCV - you still get the BW feel and proximity - plus you can use the pool - so that would be my choice -

If you don't swim - then I would say BWV - I just love the way they treat you like royalty there!!!

Morning all,
Olivia did pretty good last nite, breathing was much improved. she woke me with a bout of coughing at 3am. gave her some juice to drink and she finally stopped . she is still asleep. I dont hear any weasing from her. :Pinkbounc so now I'm sitting hear debating if I should get thenebualizer or not. This was the first time he have ever had weazing. The Dr. did not think it was astma but that she just has a viral infection that triggered the weazing. What to do what to do :confused3

Lynne - sending you :wizard: & :grouphug:

sounds like you are ready for a cruise!!!

I hope things work out for your son and his wife - seems so sad that one of the most joyful times of their lives is being overshadowed - maybe the birth of their child will help them remember why they love each other!!!

Me too. My birthday is in November though.
Well since I'm in May I'll let you know if I survive! The DDA young ones can tell you if I look as old as dirt after they meet me. Last week Lizzy & I were brushing our hair and she said "Mom, in the old days, when you were a little girl, did you have a hair brush?". "Yes Lizzy I had a hair brush." "Well, there weren't any hair brushes when the dinosaurs were around right?". SO...I guess I'm not quite as old as a dino.

NANCY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's a great example for those of you that are having a significant birthday this year. You need to look at Jo's signature - she is actually so excited about her upcoming birthday that she is counting down the days! Way to go Jo!!!! I felt the same about my 40th. I really feel that life is only improving for me. Age is a state of mind!!!!!

Happy Birthday Nancy!!!!

That is so cute! Don't you just love the innocent questions kids ask??!!

Hope your DS can work things out. How sad that his MIL can't see what is best for her own grandchildren.

I think I'd talk it over with the Dr again. My Joe used to get croup quite often but he only needed the nebualizer 1 time. Kids are supposed to outgrow it around age 3. Emma had it this winter for the first time at age 3-we just kept a very close eye on her. She wasn't quite as bad as Joe would get.
