I think I'd talk it over with the Dr again. My Joe used to get croup quite often but he only needed the nebualizer 1 time. Kids are supposed to outgrow it around age 3. Emma had it this winter for the first time at age 3-we just kept a very close eye on her. She wasn't quite as bad as Joe would get.
It was not her Dr. we saw. we have a very large group of Drs here that have what they call Austin Regional Clinic they have proablly about 40 pedis, 20 OB's, 30 something FP Dr. not to mention PT, Allergist and every thing else. SO we were at the after hours clinic and saw one of the Dr.s their.
I may call Her Dr in a little bit and ask his opinion. The Dr. we saw ordered itevery 4 hrs as needed.

He could tell you that you are "glowing" and you wouldn't like it anymore. Darn husbands anyway!!!! They just don't understand! My DH actually sat and ate my breakfast when I was in labor with my first DD and ate my dinner when I was in labor with my second. He still doesn't understand why it upset me. Hey, if I couldn't eat, why should he??!!

LOL....poor Jimmy waited until someone said it was okay to go get something to eat when I was in labor with Cassidy.....he had plenty of time...she didn't come for another 10 hours or so...then he really believed the doctor that said he had another or so with Abi...he made it into the hall before the nurse called him back in....the doctor was called back in too!!

I bought Julia pink croc knock offs at wal-mart today - she has not taken them off her feet and told me they are the best shoes EVER!!!

I guess they sell well there b/c there weren't many left - she got the last pink pair in her size - I was bummed they didn't have purple b/c I would have bought those too - I might have to go check out some other wal-marts for them!!

When DH saw them he said - I love those!! I guess maybe I will get Nick a pair -

Be careful!! Cassidy's broke the second time she wore them....but as she said at least they broke in the same spot!!

Tammi -

Member services is open - what did you get!?!??!!?
A big, fat NOTHING! Both BWV and BCV were waitlisted. Well, they did have BCV in a 1br but I am trying so hard to stay away from going that route. I didn't expect much since it is F&W time. I can't book for my whole trip anyway until the 22nd, so I will call back then and put us on the waitlist, instead of doing it day by day. Thanks for your input.

Lynn- glad to see you posting again. :wizard: and :grouphug: for you and your family.

I'm glad Olivia had a good night. They say you grow out of croup around age 3, but Nicholas still had it at 5 :confused3 . We've used our nebulizer through several different bouts.

Lynn -- Hugs to you and prayers and PD to you, your children, and grandchildren. It sounds like you are the "rock" everyone can lean on and the glue that holds the family together. It can be tough to be in that position, so take time for you, too. You don't want to get sick right before or during your cruise!

Okay guys, I am a majorly sad because I just finished filling out the forms to register DD for 1st grade. I can't imagine how quiet our house will be when she isn't here during the day :guilty:.

It was also a really hard decision to make about where to send her. We had always agreed to send our kids to our parish school where we go to church at. Well our son has been totally blind since birth and he goes to public school because they offer all of his services that he needs for free, he does amazingly well and I could not be happier with the school district we are in. So I really felt like a hypocrite to separate the two of them !!! DH and I completely butted heads over this whole issue, especially since I like to be involved at school and it is definitely easier to have them in the same school!!! I have not been overly impressed with how things have been so far for DD this year in kindergarten in the same school as DS.

Anyway after a lot of talking we finally decided it might be better to split them up. I think it might be easier if DD is not always living in DS shadow and being compared to him, I also feel like we might pressure her to help him or watch out for him etc. etc., which I don't want her to end up resenting later on. I also am hoping that maybe there will be more discipline in the private school, DD is not a bad kid but sometimes I think that she definitely needs some extra discipline!!! And lastly my mother-in law works at the school we are sending her to and I feel like maybe she can be my other set of ears, and she already has a lot of friends in this school already from pre-school...

Sorry to ramble on like this I guess that I am just a little sad over my baby going off to first grade soon, and maybe I am looking for a little validation that I am doing the right thing...

Thanks For Listening!!!

Sounds like you put lots of thought into this!! Lot more than I did with my two  . We have put more thought into the High School thing....of which my baby does tonight!!

Morning all,
Olivia did pretty good last nite, breathing was much improved. she woke me with a bout of coughing at 3am. gave her some juice to drink and she finally stopped . she is still asleep. I dont hear any weasing from her. :Pinkbounc so now I'm sitting hear debating if I should get thenebualizer or not. This was the first time he have ever had weazing. The Dr. did not think it was astma but that she just has a viral infection that triggered the weazing. What to do what to do :confused3

I would still do the nebulizer as directed.

I would imagine that a lot of people call and book their home resort and then cancel once they get another resort - maybe there will be a lot of cancellations this week!! :wizard:

Good Morning My DDA Friends :)

I have missed hanging out with ya'll on here but life has been a bit busy. I am going to make a long story short with little drama.

.Anyway............that is what I am doing and going thru right now so any prayers that can be said for Sam and Lindsy and their marraige I would really appreciate it.

Did ya'll notice my ticker.....11 days until our cruise!!!

By for now..........Lynn

Good Golly Lynn....so the drama!!! glad to see you back on even for a little bit. Prayers being said!!

Does anyone here drive a minivan or a mid-size SUV? We realized yesterday that we cannot fit 2 booster seats and a carseat in the backseat of my car. That means once I have the baby we would not be able to carpool with any of DS's friends (by law they'll be in a booster seat for 3 more years) or pick them up for playdates, etc.

We've been looking at minivans but didn't plan to buy for another year or so. Now we're looking to buy something before school starts in August. If any of you have an SUV/minivan (or a car even) that will comfortably fit 3 carseats in the backseat and you would personally recommend, please let me know.

We're looking to buy used (unless we get some incredible deal) and probably won't go older than a 2002.

I can't imagine anybody having BWV or BCV as their home resort and giving it up for something else. But I suppose it does happen. I'm hoping so, anyway.

Off to gymnastics. Be back later.

Good Morning My DDA Friends :)

I have missed hanging out with ya'll on here but life has been a bit busy. I am going to make a long story short with little drama.

1. My stepdaughter (Melissa), her husband and my grandaugher (Haley, 6)have been living with us since mid-Feb. Let's just say they are re-grouping financially and will probably be with us for about 6 months.
2. My stepson (Sam) has moved back in with us........not by his own doing but by the suggestion of his wife. They are having some marital problems to work thru. I think 50% of their problems have to do with his mother-in-law that they have been living with. My son has a little boy, Jake (3) and he is really missing his family. Did I mention my daughter-in-law is due to have a baby in 5 days!!!! My son Sam and Lindsy are getting along good. We were all at the hospital Saturday night until Sunday morning and then sent home since the contractions stopped and she was only dialated 3cm. There is so much drama to go into with this situation that I could write forever about it. Let's just say he has a very needy mother-in-law and if she isn't the center of attention then there starts the problems.

Of course then there is my husband and my two boys. We are adjusting well. I am doing everything I can to be sure that my older kids problems do not effect my younger two. So far so good. My older kids have been mine that I have raised since they were in K and 2nd grade so I love them as my own.

Anyway............that is what I am doing and going thru right now so any prayers that can be said for Sam and Lindsy and their marraige I would really appreciate it.

Did ya'll notice my ticker.....11 days until our cruise!!!

By for now..........Lynn
:grouphug: Have fun on your cruise.

We recently made a tough decision to move DS to another school so I know how you feel. It sounds like you put a lot of thought into it and I'm sure you made the right decision :grouphug:

Sharonville, of course (like we can go anywhere else thanks to Mr. President of Council :teeth: )

The best part is not only does it meet everything we were looking for in a house (more bedrooms, bathrooms, etc.) but it's still walking distance to our community center, park, library, restaurants, etc.

Amy :)
:wizard: Good luck!
