Hi, DDA!
Another quick fly-by post - we made it to Orlando safely, with no problems. Tonight was the
MNSSHP, and the weather SUCKED. I have never seen rain like this, and for so long. It literally poured sheets of water for over an hour straight, starting at 7:45, and didn't stop raining completely until about 11:00 p.m. I still cannot believe that I stood in the rain and watched HalloWishes - that is dedication that I care not to repeat!
It wasn't just the rain though (which we did get rainchecks for our tickets) - we only went on 1 ride the entire night that did not malfunction. Haunted Mansion - after the stretch room, stood for over 20 mins. as it was down for a while. Splash Mountain - malfunctioned for about 5 mins. during the ride (AA's stopped moving, sound wasn't synched when started back up), Pirates was closed for almost 4 hours, and when did open back up, we ended up only getting through the first scene "normal"; once we hit the fight scene with Barbossa, all the lights were on and we just floated through the rest of the ride with no AA's moving, no sound, etc.

I don't know if we were just snake bit, or if Disney was just having a terrible night. We also ended up wasting tons of time standing around in the rain trying to figure out when/if they'd be showing the parade/fireworks, as they made so few announcements, and all were well after the initial start times of all activities. It's really hard to try to make the most of your night when there is no schedule. Needless to say, if this was my first time in the MK, I would have been less than impressed. It was hilarious after a while; all you could really do was laugh.
On another note, the CM's seem to have been injected with some more "Disney Magic" elixir. All have been super friendly and helpful everywhere - a noticeable difference since our last trip in March.
Got to get to bed! I'll try to post more tomorrow. I got tons of maps (and they're not even wet

), but barely any pics, due to the weather. Not quite sure what tomorrow has in store for us, but I'm just praying it's no more rain like that!
(Jennifer - bring your ponchos!
