Three out of the four pair of skorts I ordered from Kohl's arrived today, I love them. They fit great & they were a good price, so I am very happy! Hopefully the last pair will ship & not be out of stock. At least I now have the clothes I was wanting for the Oct. trip :thumbsup2

COME ON OCTOBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again Tammi for the link, you saved me from a lot of stress :rotfl:

Are they Docker's or Sonoma brand? I like them both but just LOVE the Docker's skorts!

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: Jen :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Went back to the pharmacy, and they did fill my RX correctly, so at least I have allergery medication that I can take!!:thumbsup2

I must speak with the head pharmacist on Monday when she returns from vacation. In the meantime, I'm looking for another drugstore. But not today...

Today I am running around looking for an outfit to wear. We leave in 2 hours. Yikes. I'm going to gas up the car, wrap our gift, address the cards and pick up the kids and get driving. :car:

Have a great day DDA!!:dance3: :dance3: :cheer2:

Lindsay, hope the rest of the trip there is no rain. :wizard:

Good morning, DDA!

Yes, we do & totally agree with you. I need a job....I am applying to the Disney store on Monday. Hopefully that will help out with the kids expenses & some $ for future Disney trips.;)

Won't you spend your entire paycheck there? But maybe not. I don't buy that much at the Disney Store other than a few shirts now and then. And I know they are hiring because they asked me to apply. Good luck!!

I've already had my first Scholastic Book sale come home with Alyssa. While I feel guilty not buying anything, I really have a hard time justifying it when I can get the books at the library for free. And like I need more books to cram into the bookshelf that they can't seem to stay on as it is!

We don't get the fliers for books, but in elementary they had book fair twice a year. That was OK. I usually bought a book from each teacher's "wish list" and a book or two for DS. I don't know what sort of fundraisers they have in middle school.

I'm glad they fit!! That's the scary thing about online ordering!

I'm sorry you had such a horrible MNSSHP. I was reading on the TPAS to retain your stub and a little card they gave out at the turnstiles upon exit. It's supposed to be good for one park admission for up to a year. Hopefully the rest of your trip will be better. :wizard:

Lindsay, I am sorry your night was a bust!:guilty: And with you already not feeling well I'm sure the rain didn't help! I hope the rest of the trip is good!:wizard:

Debbie - I hope you feel better soon. Love the pic in your sig.

Love the pics, and the trip report is wonderful! I am sorry the Disney curse got Brandon on deprture morning, but it sounds like he bounced back!:thumbsup2

It is a cool 36 here right now :cold: The forecasted high for today is the 60's, so that is not bad!

EEK! That is COLD! It is still hot here.

Bernadette - Yes, you forgot to mention the part about the electricity easement. You probably don't want to irritate your neighbor.:scared:

Marci - I hope the games go well this weekend!

We're picking up Brother at 11 AM. Other than that we don't have anything planned.

It rained last night and this morning. Calling for a high of 60º

I dont have any real plans for today--If the rain stops, ill be going to a kid's soccer game (he used to be n my class and i now work with his mom)

Other than that, maybe watching a dvd or somethng...just dont feel like going out

Well the boys have tickets to a Mets game today however its pouring & really dark here.:confused3

I was reading the MNSSHP news from last night & I can so relate to what Lindsay & the other guests went through. Lindsay was right on the mark when she posted that she wasted time standing around alot waiting for announcements to be made. That was our only compliant about the infamous 8/24 P&PP. They didn't make enough annoucements to let people know what was going on.

Lindsay, I hope you have a rain free rest of your trip & hang on to your tickets.

Debbie,
Great pictures..love the new siggie. Hope you & Brandon feel better soon.

Janet,
Thanks for the blog.

Chanon,
Very cute bag.

My MIL will be here today & staying for a few days. (Playing the funeral march now):lmao:

Have a great day.

Well it's been a rough one this week. Brandon came down with a cold our last two days at Disney, and it is impossible to stay away from kid's germs when you have them 24/7, sanitizer can only do so much.
So of course I had to come down with it, and with my lung issues already I always end up with at least bronchitis, so I'm back on antibiotics, I did check them out before taking any. I can't believe your pharmacy Steffy, I think you should definitely report them so hopefully thet won't cause harm to anyone, if it has happened twice to you there's no telling how often they make these errors.

I went back and finished makeing trip notes, I do plan on trying my hand at a trip report. And I've almost finished adding borders to our photopass pictures, we really didn't have that many, we get so involved in doing things that we didn't stop enough for pictures. I had prepurchased the CD so I had intentions of getting lots of pictures.

Our DD made a quick trip home this weekend so it's gonna be Glynis's pot roast for dinner tonight before she heads back.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Debbie - I hope you get to feeling better VERY soon. I love the picture in your siggy!

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Off to do some things around the house and spend some time outside! Have a great day, everyone. :goodvibes:

What about using them as Christmas Gifts?
That is a great idea but who would I give them to? Nearly all of our friends in town have kids in the soccer program and friends out of town don't need discount cards to places in our town-our town is not very easy to get to. Maybe I could give one to the "fire" neighbor though, my old boss, 1 for me & 1 for DH and maybe 1 of my 2 coworkers that purchased them last year will be interested. That would be 5 of the 15 cards they give us.

:woohoo: That's Great!

I hope I didn't post this one yet....

Hi, DDA! :flower3:

Another quick fly-by post - we made it to Orlando safely, with no problems. Tonight was the MNSSHP, and the weather SUCKED. I have never seen rain like this, and for so long. It literally poured sheets of water for over an hour straight, starting at 7:45, and didn't stop raining completely until about 11:00 p.m. I still cannot believe that I stood in the rain and watched HalloWishes - that is dedication that I care not to repeat! :scared:

It wasn't just the rain though (which we did get rainchecks for our tickets) - we only went on 1 ride the entire night that did not malfunction. Haunted Mansion - after the stretch room, stood for over 20 mins. as it was down for a while. Splash Mountain - malfunctioned for about 5 mins. during the ride (AA's stopped moving, sound wasn't synched when started back up), Pirates was closed for almost 4 hours, and when did open back up, we ended up only getting through the first scene "normal"; once we hit the fight scene with Barbossa, all the lights were on and we just floated through the rest of the ride with no AA's moving, no sound, etc. I don't know if we were just snake bit, or if Disney was just having a terrible night. We also ended up wasting tons of time standing around in the rain trying to figure out when/if they'd be showing the parade/fireworks, as they made so few announcements, and all were well after the initial start times of all activities. It's really hard to try to make the most of your night when there is no schedule. Needless to say, if this was my first time in the MK, I would have been less than impressed. It was hilarious after a while; all you could really do was laugh.

On another note, the CM's seem to have been injected with some more "Disney Magic" elixir. All have been super friendly and helpful everywhere - a noticeable difference since our last trip in March.

Got to get to bed! I'll try to post more tomorrow. I got tons of maps (and they're not even wet :thumbsup2 ), but barely any pics, due to the weather. Not quite sure what tomorrow has in store for us, but I'm just praying it's no more rain like that!

(Jennifer - bring your ponchos! )
Sorry your party was a wash out. Hope the weather clears up for you.

Morning everyone! I just had to pop on and show the bag I bought for the October trip!!!

...now just to hope it arrives in time - it was ordered through our work vendor and they state it can take up to 5 weeks...
That is really nice. What color?

:wizard: Hope you feel better soon! LOVE your new signature photo!

I have a small Tink tote that I will be using for the plane :thumbsup2

Anne Marie good luck with just packing a carry on. I will probably be packing my large suitcase :rotfl:
That reminds me....I bought Lizzy the cutest little purse size eeyore backpack at Walmart the other day so she can carry her own stuff to the parks in November. They had Tink too.

I'm already thinking about what I'll take in November. I'm not sure how many suitcases I will have. I won't be doing laundry and I want to take a hot pot since the room doesn't have a coffee pot. In August I did a grocery delivery from Garden Grocer (which worked perfect-they are getting beaten up on the boards right now). I don't think I'll do that in November so I think I'll take my Britta water bottle instead which takes up a bit of room. I may actually send a small box ahead again.

Brandon's Birthday Bash

Here's Brandon, looking out at our plane,

Loving your trip report! I really love that photo! Glad Brandon recovered quickly from the rough start.

Enjoy your day!

Bernadette - Yes, you forgot to mention the part about the electricity easement. You probably don't want to irritate your neighbor.:scared:

We're picking up Brother at 11 AM. Other than that we don't have anything planned.
We used to be very close to that neighbor. When her teenage son was a baby we were the only ones who ever baby sat for them and quite often. As we had our own children and she had a much older child we got too busy. A few years ago her husband left her (real jerk mid life crisis thing  ) and she has a new boyfriend and is always traveling out of town with him.

Have fun with Brother! I'm sure he'll be very happy to see you!

Well the boys have tickets to a Mets game today however its pouring & really dark here.:confused3

:wizard: Good luck to the boys and you!

Lizzy is at soccer. It was raining off and on all night and has been drizzling this morning. She goes 9:15 to 10:45. Emma is 12:30 to 1:45 and Joe is 2:30 to 4:00 so we'll spend the next few Saturdays at the soccer field. DH took Lizzy and I'm home with Emma & Joe and doing laundry.

When I went to MVMCP last Dec the weather was fine but it was SOOOOOOOO crowded. At one point you couldn't walk in Fantasy Land between Small World (the line was all the way up on the payment outside) and Peter Pan was packed with people and you couldn't move. I will not purchase any of those tickets in advance anymore. I don't want to go if the event is sold out. I waited til the day we arrived at the resort to purchase our P&PP tickets for the next day. It took a while because the resort concierge couldn't sell me AP tickets and he tried calling guest services at DTD but they were useless so he finally called the AP line and got someone to take my order over the phone. I don't plan on attending another ticketed event with my whole family til the kids get older. Joe's my early riser so he just can't stay up too late and he wouldn't just relax/rest in the stroller-he had to go back to the room. We had a great time but I don't think we got $200 out of the experience.

Just popping into say hi. I am up on deck 9 of the Magic by the quiet Cove pool. Watching people in the terminal, patiently waiting to board the Magic.

We had an awesome week on the ship, great food and weather. I did get to go parasailing and it was fantastic.

I had to get off the ship this morning, through customs, back to the terminal and back on the ship.

Sending prayers, :wizard: and hugs to all of you. Hope you have a great week.

Glad you are having a great time!!! Can't wait to hear all about it! Happy trip#2.

Thanks for all the comments on the signature picture, I did a screen capture of one of our photopass pics, I haven't ordered the cd yet as I'm still adding borders.

Thanks for the well wished on our health, Brandon has already bounced back, I have the weekend off so I plan on taking it easy and drinking lots of liquids along with the meds so hopefully I will be feeling a lot better by Monday.

Good morning, DDA! It is another gloriously cool morning. It is going to be a lovely weekend of camping next weekend (oh yeah, I guess that extends my notice back to Friday since we are camping Fri-Sun and flying out Mon).

Terra planned the cutest birthday party for Phil last night. We made a Buzz Lightyear cake, decorations and some party games. Terra made them all up except for the "pin the arm on Buzz" game that I made. She also decided that we should go out for pizza so we hit Cici's. It was a fun night.

Now, we just have to get him packed up. Seems he didn't get it done yesterday so I've got to do it today since we're heading straight to the airport from picking him up at work. No biggie though as I am a much better and faster packer than he is.

Otherwise, we're just running some errands and otherwise chilling out today. We may meet Erin and family at the hot air balloon race this afternoon as well.

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday!

Unless the fields are too wet, I am betting he is being photographed and playing as I type this. It is GLORIOUSLY gorgeous outside!

But we need rain desperately. Beginning Monday our county is on mandatory water restrictions.
You were right. He had pictures at 9 am this morning. And they won again.

Thanks for letting me know about the water restrictions. I hadn't heard this.
