I read on the TPAS thread that there will be a Captain Jack meet & greet during the MNSSHP's. I hope this is true :woohoo:
Oh I hope it's true too! Bob won't enjoy it but he'll just have to get over it! :rotfl:

Just did---The oncologist there confirmed that there is nothing they can do that will cure this cancer. They are going to try a 'mild' round of chemo to see if that will slow the spreading of the cancer. They will try that for 3 weeks, and if it doesnt help, they are going to discuss if they should try a stronger chemo or just do nothing.

Its just starting to hit my grandmother that he will die from this--they just dont know when..The oncologist did say that it is stage 4 cancer. so now we just wait

Do your schools do read-a-thons? I will NOT participate in those. The kids are supposed to hit folks (family members?) up to sponsor the kids so much for each page read over a period of time. I just don't like it. It seems like extortion and the kids should read without being paid for it even if the money is given to the school. At least the wrapping paper is a nice quality.
I've already had my first Scholastic Book sale come home with Alyssa. While I feel guilty not buying anything, I really have a hard time justifying it when I can get the books at the library for free. And like I need more books to cram into the bookshelf that they can't seem to stay on as it is!

We are having a nice rain come through here. I'm wondering if soccer will be canceled in the AM. It's picture day tomorrow too.

Okay I am headed to bed. We were very busy today at work. I am off this weekend, I am going to go to the laundry mat in the morning. Then probally over to my moms after that so Olivia can spend time with her cousin Ryan and to watch the UT game it starts at 3:30 CST.

We'll be getting 5 "discount cards" for each child that they are supposed to sell for $10 each. Who am I supposed to sell these to? Everyone we know is in soccer and family is out of town.

What about using them as Christmas Gifts?

Hello and good night all. I was so stoked for baseball tonight as ESPN was actually carrying a Red Sox game here tonight (and will all weekend :cheer2: since they're playing the Yankees). Then, what happens, they go and blow a 2-7 lead giving the Yanks 6 runs in the 8th. Darn it! And then the Cardinals give up 3 runs in the 9th. Lo and behold, they hit two solo homers in the bottom of the 9th which would have been the winning runs if it hadn't been for that horrible top of the inning. So close on both counts! Guess I'll try again tomorrow. Go Sox!!

So now I am just tired because the Sox game was almost 5 hours long. Yikes!

I know that I missed commenting on some things reading through, but I just can't remember what they were. Catch you all soon! Have a good night. :wizard: and :grouphug: all around.

Three out of the four pair of skorts I ordered from Kohl's arrived today, I love them. They fit great & they were a good price, so I am very happy! Hopefully the last pair will ship & not be out of stock. At least I now have the clothes I was wanting for the Oct. trip :thumbsup2

COME ON OCTOBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again Tammi for the link, you saved me from a lot of stress :rotfl:

Stephanie how did things go with the pharmacy today?

Okay Stephanie, When would you have time to be on the computer when we will be in the parks from dawn to dawn :lmao: :lmao:

Seriously, we get back to the room after being out all day, the only thing we would be doing is getting out of sweaty clothes and showering and going to sleep. No computer time there!!!

I know you are tied to that thing, but for six days you can let it go:rotfl:
During the time I'm burning my underwear in a fire pit on the balcony!!:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Okay, I'll leave the baby home. Maybe I'll borrow my DGD's Fly Pen and buy a notebook. Then I can just upload all my notes to Word. Hmmmmmm.

Hi, DDA! :flower3:

Another quick fly-by post - we made it to Orlando safely, with no problems. Tonight was the MNSSHP, and the weather SUCKED. I have never seen rain like this, and for so long. It literally poured sheets of water for over an hour straight, starting at 7:45, and didn't stop raining completely until about 11:00 p.m. I still cannot believe that I stood in the rain and watched HalloWishes - that is dedication that I care not to repeat! :scared:

It wasn't just the rain though (which we did get rainchecks for our tickets) - we only went on 1 ride the entire night that did not malfunction. Haunted Mansion - after the stretch room, stood for over 20 mins. as it was down for a while. Splash Mountain - malfunctioned for about 5 mins. during the ride (AA's stopped moving, sound wasn't synched when started back up), Pirates was closed for almost 4 hours, and when did open back up, we ended up only getting through the first scene "normal"; once we hit the fight scene with Barbossa, all the lights were on and we just floated through the rest of the ride with no AA's moving, no sound, etc. I don't know if we were just snake bit, or if Disney was just having a terrible night. We also ended up wasting tons of time standing around in the rain trying to figure out when/if they'd be showing the parade/fireworks, as they made so few announcements, and all were well after the initial start times of all activities. It's really hard to try to make the most of your night when there is no schedule. Needless to say, if this was my first time in the MK, I would have been less than impressed. It was hilarious after a while; all you could really do was laugh.

On another note, the CM's seem to have been injected with some more "Disney Magic" elixir. All have been super friendly and helpful everywhere - a noticeable difference since our last trip in March.

Got to get to bed! I'll try to post more tomorrow. I got tons of maps (and they're not even wet :thumbsup2 ), but barely any pics, due to the weather. Not quite sure what tomorrow has in store for us, but I'm just praying it's no more rain like that!

(Jennifer - bring your ponchos! )
