Well it's been a rough one this week. Brandon came down with a cold our last two days at Disney, and it is impossible to stay away from kid's germs when you have them 24/7, sanitizer can only do so much.
So of course I had to come down with it, and with my lung issues already I always end up with at least bronchitis, so I'm back on antibiotics, I did check them out before taking any. I can't believe your pharmacy Steffy, I think you should definitely report them so hopefully thet won't cause harm to anyone, if it has happened twice to you there's no telling how often they make these errors.

I went back and finished makeing trip notes, I do plan on trying my hand at a trip report. And I've almost finished adding borders to our photopass pictures, we really didn't have that many, we get so involved in doing things that we didn't stop enough for pictures. I had prepurchased the CD so I had intentions of getting lots of pictures.

Our DD made a quick trip home this weekend so it's gonna be Glynis's pot roast for dinner tonight before she heads back.

Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Three out of the four pair of skorts I ordered from Kohl's arrived today, I love them. They fit great & they were a good price, so I am very happy! Hopefully the last pair will ship & not be out of stock. At least I now have the clothes I was wanting for the Oct. trip :thumbsup2

COME ON OCTOBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again Tammi for the link, you saved me from a lot of stress :rotfl:
YAY! I'm glad you like them. And I agree..........

COME ON OCTOBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, DDA! :flower3:

Another quick fly-by post - we made it to Orlando safely, with no problems. Tonight was the MNSSHP, and the weather SUCKED. I have never seen rain like this, and for so long. It literally poured sheets of water for over an hour straight, starting at 7:45, and didn't stop raining completely until about 11:00 p.m. I still cannot believe that I stood in the rain and watched HalloWishes - that is dedication that I care not to repeat! :scared:

It wasn't just the rain though (which we did get rainchecks for our tickets) - we only went on 1 ride the entire night that did not malfunction. Haunted Mansion - after the stretch room, stood for over 20 mins. as it was down for a while. Splash Mountain - malfunctioned for about 5 mins. during the ride (AA's stopped moving, sound wasn't synched when started back up), Pirates was closed for almost 4 hours, and when did open back up, we ended up only getting through the first scene "normal"; once we hit the fight scene with Barbossa, all the lights were on and we just floated through the rest of the ride with no AA's moving, no sound, etc. I don't know if we were just snake bit, or if Disney was just having a terrible night. We also ended up wasting tons of time standing around in the rain trying to figure out when/if they'd be showing the parade/fireworks, as they made so few announcements, and all were well after the initial start times of all activities. It's really hard to try to make the most of your night when there is no schedule. Needless to say, if this was my first time in the MK, I would have been less than impressed. It was hilarious after a while; all you could really do was laugh.

On another note, the CM's seem to have been injected with some more "Disney Magic" elixir. All have been super friendly and helpful everywhere - a noticeable difference since our last trip in March.

Got to get to bed! I'll try to post more tomorrow. I got tons of maps (and they're not even wet :thumbsup2 ), but barely any pics, due to the weather. Not quite sure what tomorrow has in store for us, but I'm just praying it's no more rain like that!

(Jennifer - bring your ponchos! )
I'm sorry you had such a horrible MNSSHP. I was reading on the TPAS to retain your stub and a little card they gave out at the turnstiles upon exit. It's supposed to be good for one park admission for up to a year. Hopefully the rest of your trip will be better. :wizard:

Debbie - I hope you feel better soon. Love the pic in your sig.

Good morning, DDA!

It is a beautiful day here. Well, right now it's overcast but the sun is supposed to shine this afternoon. The weather is crisp and breezy. Hello, autumn!!!

:lmao:

During the time I'm burning my underwear in a fire pit on the balcony!!:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 :rotfl2:

Okay, I'll leave the baby home. Maybe I'll borrow my DGD's Fly Pen and buy a notebook. Then I can just upload all my notes to Word. Hmmmmmm.

Lindsay I was reading reports of how nasty the weather was. Sorry is was not a good night :sad2: Glad to hear that you were given another ticket & I hope the rest of your stay is not as wet :wizard:

Looks good, :wizard: that it arrives in time! Will you be using this in the parks or just for the plane?

I have a small Tink tote that I will be using for the plane :thumbsup2

Anne Marie good luck with just packing a carry on. I will probably be packing my large suitcase :rotfl:

Morning everyone! I just had to pop on and show the bag I bought for the October trip!!!

...now just to hope it arrives in time - it was ordered through our work vendor and they state it can take up to 5 weeks...

Debbie I hope you & Brandon are feeling better soon :wizard:

Love the picture in your signature!

It is a cool 36 here right now :cold: The forecasted high for today is the 60's, so that is not bad!

Jennifer I hope you have a great trip with your family!

Good morning :)

I need to get ready for work & then Riley has a baseball game this afternoon.

Have a great day all!

Brandon's Birthday Bash

Day One - Departure

We had a 6:00 am flight so that meant we would be leaving the house by 3:30 am, being the worrier that I am I hardly slept so I beat the alarm up. Everything was packed and ready to go except for the items we would be using to get ready so it didn't take long to finish up. Brandon doesn't like to be woken up and is a slow starter in the morning, well after finally getting him up he told me his stomach hurt, and in a few minutes he was throwing up, :scared1: , after he finished we got his teeth brushed and got him dressed. We took a bucket with us, just in case, and headed off to the airport, thankfully he seemed fine and had no more episodes.

Going through security, DH beeped twice so he was sent over for frisking, just a reminder here, don't forget to take your car keys out of your pocket.:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Here's Brandon, looking out at our plane,

Next stop Atlanta!

We arrived early in Atlanta, after grabbing some breakfast we went to wait at our gate, they have put in a play area in this area, not a bad idea considering all the kids that were on their way to Orlando,
IMG_2291.jpg

Brandon is always looking for someone his size to play with, and sure enough he found someone, here he is playing with his new friend Jackson, it was really cute how surprised they were when they discovered they were both going to Disney World!
IMG_2292.jpg

Our plane landed at 12:02, we made a potty stop and headed over to ME, by 1:30 we were checked in and our room was ready at POP, boy was I glad!
IMG_2293.jpg

After check in we changed Brandon into his swim trunks, got a large pepperoni pizza, some salads and drinks and ate by the pool. Afterwards it was back to the room for a nap before the Party that night.

Up next, Princesses and Pirates!

After a short nap it was time to get ready for the PPP, once again Brandon wasn't too happy about me waking him up but we finally managed to get him ready and head out the door for the bus. I had about half of his outfit in my backpack as he wasn't too keen on wearing it right then. Finally after all the planning we arrived,

Here's my two pirates,
IMG_2295-1.jpg

Our first stop that night was POC, it was a walk on, Brandon liked it but he's not too sure that he wants to go on it again because it was a little on the scary side.
IMG_2296.jpg

After POC we made our way to the first Treasure Spot of the evening and after leaving there we ran into a couple of Pirates out signing autographs,
IMG_2307.jpg

After getting the autographs we headed over to Splash, after being frightened to death by riding Splash on our last trip I wasn't sure he would want to give it a try but he did and loved it, even though he told PawPaw that he was freakin' scared. We went over to BTMRR and it was a walk on, but before we could get on it broke down, we waited for a while but they weren't sure how long it would be so we exited, I guess it could have been worse, we could have been one of the one's stuck in the trains out on the tracks.

We are having a nice rain come through here. I'm wondering if soccer will be canceled in the AM. It's picture day tomorrow too.

Unless the fields are too wet, I am betting he is being photographed and playing as I type this. It is GLORIOUSLY gorgeous outside!

But we need rain desperately. Beginning Monday our county is on mandatory water restrictions.
