The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 29

Sounds like we might have another DDA'er to meet in Oct.

Glad swim lessons went well today!

I called the attendance office this morning and the lady said it is up to the teacher to correct it. I sent a note with DS to the teacher, so we shall see.

Dadboss said he is taking Princess out of town Oct. 19. That's the weekend of the DDA meet. I don't know if that means I will have Friday off, but if it does, I would love to try to fly out and meet everyone. The details are what's messy. It would be easier for me to bring DS and fly out Thursday night. Otherwise I will have to get him to school on Friday before I can go to the airport and we will have to find somebody to look after him overnight Friday and Saturday. I know everyone else is "kidless" that weekend, but maybe we could still find time to say hello even if we can't do everything else with the group. The other issue is airfare, which is WAY too high. I had a DING but I didn't pay any attention and now the fares are close to $300 round trip. GOOD flights are $500. No flights available with miles (well, I am 15,000 short for those) so we'll just see. I haven't even looked at hotel. If it works out great, if not, I didn't think I would be able to go in the first place!

I survived swim lessons today. Just 17 more to go! I kept my face out of the water, so that made it better.

So I have printed off the F&WF marketplace list. Steffy - looks like your friend "TBD" is listed under Oklahoma/Native American on the DIS (but not on AllEars)!!! I'm debating on heading up to our local wine shop and asking about some of the wines listed - kind of "if you get the chance, don't miss trying this one" feeling I guess. And I have no idea on what the difference between Rose Imperial, Nectar Imperial and Nectar Imperial Rose is!!!
Time to break out my highlighter!! (And google.com to find out what some of these words are!)

I've been reading but my head feels as if it's about to explode. I've felt something coming on for a while now and thought it was just allergies but it finally hit me Sunday night. I have very little voice and it seems when I do talk it sends me into a coughing fit.

The teacher just called to let me know she corrected it to a "tardy". I am not thrilled about that because he had a slip from the band teacher excusing the tardy. But it is better than an absence.

Airfare will be the deciding factor, I think. Especially if I bring DS and have to pay airfare for both of us. I guess I should call and see about a room, just in case.

Anne Marie sorry it rained so much during the party. This happened to us during the Halloween party in 2005. We were lucky though & it stopped after a couple of hours. Looks like you all still had a good time & the girls look beautiful!

i think we were at the same party! I always pick a bad day for these events. I think we went to the 10/6 party. It poured most of the night & the 1st parade was cancelled. Were you there then?

We did have a good time anyway, hey we were at Disney.

The boys got off the bus today pretty upset. It appears that the bus driver is letting the older kids pick whatever seat they want and they can make the younger kids move Nick was in the back of the bus doing his homework when an older student got on and made him move. I think that is absolutely ridiculous and I will be discussing this with the Principal in the morning. The school is already closed when they get home. As far as I know seating has always been first come first serve. Has bus etiquette changed?

Yes we were at the same party! We had so much fun that night & I think we were about the last ones to leave the park lol

Anne Marie - my TR is back on page 9101. I think I got it all posted on August 25 so if you scroll through the pages from that day all of my pics are there. Well, all of the ones I posted. I am still trying to sort through both memory cards and maybe make a slide show or something. We didn't take that many pics - maybe 120 or so.

DS said the open house at school has been changed to next Thursday. Hmm. A little NOTICE would have been nice! Oh, well. Not a big deal.

DS also said they changed him to a different math teacher. This one is a man who used to be at the elementary school before they moved 6th grade to middle school. He coaches the Math Team. If DS understands the way he teaches then I think this will be an excellent fit.

He did get his pencil case back, so I don't have to replace those supplies just yet. It sounds like he had a pretty good day.

Elizabeth - I was on earlier today, and there was miraculously a room at Pop for $79/night from 10/18-21. (That is the 1st time it's been there for me - I had to make my original reservation for 10/17-21 to get the AP rate, and then just removed a night.) I'm thinking it's a sign.

I know you got lots of feedback on this, but if you remember to use it (and I usually don't remember to have it with me, or forget which coupons it has) then it's a great deal. The boys have it as one of their school fundraisers.



I don't know if they still have it, but The Right Start is where I got mine about 5 years ago.

If I get it I will leave it in my van. As If we go anywhere as a family its in the van.
