The first day is always nuts, and i felt alot better by the end of the day...the day seemed to DRAG though and it never does..im hoping tomorrow is a bit better!

Elizabeth - I was on earlier today, and there was miraculously a room at Pop for $79/night from 10/18-21. (That is the 1st time it's been there for me - I had to make my original reservation for 10/17-21 to get the AP rate, and then just removed a night.) I'm thinking it's a sign.

Maybe I will call and book a room, just in case. Momboss said Dadboss isn't flying out until late Friday afternoon, but she thinks I should go to the DDA weekend anyway. She said I can just owe them back the hours since I am out of vacation time. The real problem is airfare for the flight back home.

Elizabeth have you ever flown Airtran? Out of Dallas they have a nonstop for $92, it leaves early in the morning. The return trip is a little more pricey, $166 each.

I now have ADR's for Mama Melrose for dinner instead of Sci-Fi. After looking at the menu, I think that will be a good choice for us.

Still no availability for LTT before MNSSHP, so I have kept CP for now.

I second Airtran. Even if they connect in ATL - they only have two terminals and they are right next to each other. I've never had any problems with them, and if I can't afford CO from CLE, then I fly these guys.

Hi everyone--all caught up!

Just an update on grandpa--He went to the oncologist and he does have liver cancer -The type does not respond to chemo or radiaton..They made a decison to send him to Sloan Kettering in NY to see if they have any further ideas
They call tomorrow to make an appontment.

Jen I know this is from last week but i'm just catching up again .. I'm so sorry to hear about your grand father but they are setting him up with THE best cancer Hospital ( IMHO) . My father was diagnosed with esophogial (sp?) and was told he had 6 months to live. He went to S-K for as they called it "intensive treatment" he lived past the original 6 months and added 3 years to his life. He struggled alot and went through numourus surgeries but, I was getting ready to start my seniour year of high school when he was diagnosed and he was bound and deteremind to beat the 6 months and see me walk for graduation .. he then was there when i finished my cosmotology courses and he even took a trip to Alaska to visit his cousin. Honestly it comes down to their own mind set. I hope he's a fighter and that S-K can come up with a treatment or at least keep him comfortable for as long as he's willing to fight the cancer .. my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family.

My neighbor has her daughter wash all the baseboards in the house when she's bored or naughty. One day, I got a call asking if Carrie could come wash MY baseboards. Let's just say, it had been a trying day at their house, and her baseboards were clean. I will say, Carrie really scrubbed my baseboards well!

hmmm baseborads .. i think i found a new punishment for RJ since well .. he can't walk and has been pushing himself all over the floor .. the baseboards are just the right height for him lol
