Elizabeth - Congrats to your DS for his grades! You should be proud.
I am also crowing tonight, as Kristin's second semester grades were posted and she has another set of A's. That makes the 4th semester in a row that she has gotten straight A's and her GPA is 3.79 right now. I am delighted with her, to say the least!
Congrats to Kristin! How wonderful!!
Elizabeth that is wonderful! Congratulations to your ds
Thank you! We really are so very happy for him!
Jen your job will come, you are just having the Disney blues
Remember last week (or no, I guess you don't, since you were at Disney!) I had nothing in the way of job offers. Then I set interviews for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. By Monday I had 3 offers on the table. I chose my new family on Monday, and by Tuesday afternoon I had 3 more families asking for interviews! Hang in there! It will happen!
My version of mindless entertainment. Trying to find Donkey glasses at McDonald's. Drove around

for 3 hours.
So, who is going to see POC3 tomorrow???
147 days people 147 days!!!
Stephanie, you always make me smile.

I will see if I run across a Donkey glass in my travels. I don't think we'll make it to POTC3 tomorrow, but maybe over the weekend. DH is nearly dead form working so many days. And he doesn't have a day off until June 3!

I may take the kids to Shrek tomorrow. Sister has dress rehearsal for dance, so we might skip Taekwondo.
Congrats to all the DDA smarties
Hunter has a rough draft of a book report due tomorrow. He's known about it for weeks and had told us that he was working on it at school. Of course he didn't bring any of it home until last night and he showed it to me after the concert. I knew then that he was going to have trouble getting it done. He is such a slow writer. So he came home at 3 today and started in. I had typed what he had written prior to today into my laptop last night. He had missed including the setting in his opening paragraph which was a requirement. That meant that he needed to rewrite the whole thing

I figured that if I type it and print it out it would be easier for him to rewrite it from type rather than his handwriting. Well he had no time to work on it at school today. I ended up taking him and the laptop to work tonight. I worked with him for an hour then Chris picked him up. I told Chris to work with him, but apparently he thought the lawn was more important and that Hunter could work independently. I got home at 9:30 and Hunter had managed to write a whopping 12 sentences in 3 hours

Chris had stopped him from finishing and started him on rewriting. The last couple of paragraphs were so much less informative then the rest of the paper. I ended up having him retell the important stuff to me and I finished typing it. by then it was 10:30 and I was not having him rewrite it. She will have to accept the typed format for the rough draft. I think 7 hours on a 3rd grade rough draft book report is more than enough. We will see what the teacher has to say tomorrow. It is all Hunter's words, just not in his handwriting. He even typed some of it himself which explained why it took him 3 hours to write 12 sentences. So needless to say I'm one frustrated mom tonight.
I hope it all turns out OK.

DS's teacher loved the million $ project - she had to have known he had help because it took literally days to gather all the info. Hopefully Hunter's teacher will be understanding and grade him on content as opposed to other criteria!
Hi Vicki!

I hope life settles down for you soon. It sounds like the party is really going to be special for Becky. She deserves it!
Congrats to Becky!
I worked late tonight. My bosses came in at 10 PM, but I stayed and chatted with Momboss until 11:30. I know - we have an odd relationship. We talked a little bit about what sort of person she should be looking for to replace me. What scares me is that I am SO reliable. And I have been reliable for my entire life, so even in my first nanny job I was dependable. My bosses never have to worry about the kids because they know I can handle anything that comes up, and they are probably a little spoiled by that. I have heard several horror stories of girls who leave kids at school because they just forget to pick them up!

I don't want anyone to ever forget Brother & Sister! Momboss said they have had a couple of people not show up for interviews. That can't be good. Obviously those girls are not being considered for the job. I have no problem hiring somebody young, as long as she has a proven track record for being reliable and having common sense. Hopefully they will find someone soon and she can start overlapping with me on hours so I can make sure she will care for my small friends properly.
