i found some more places to send resumes too..so thats when im doing today--i found a positino for a kindergarten 10 min away--that would be perfect!

Sounds great, Jen! I'm sure you'll knock 'em dead, though, tomorrow - that kindergarten class' school better hurry and call you if they want a shot!

I just noticed DS has a rash all over his upper thighs. It might be something from camping. I sent him in to shower. If it doesn't look better tomorrow he may have to go to the Dr. 14 days of school left and then he is finished with elementary!

Could it be chigger bites, Elizabeth? Growing up near creeks, they had a great tendency to sneak up on us while outside. And they love areas like upper thighs, and ahem, other unmentionable areas.

Hmm. I just tried twice to call DH's cell phone and it is OFF. That makes me nervous. He is working, so his phone should not be off. I haven't heard from him, so that makes me more nervous. He should be finished in the next hour or so, so if I don't hear from him soon I will be officially freaked out. Last weekend there were 2 cars drag racing when he was on his way in. By the time he caught back up to them they had both crashed, and they hit several other cars, too. That's why I get very skittish when I can't reach him. And there isn't any other number to call, so I just have to wait and see if he calls home.

I hope he's home safe and sound by now, Elizabeth!

Here is our new kitty. Not a very flattering photo, but since we don't have her home yet it is the best I can do. I think DH took a pic of her with his phone yesterday, but I don't know how to get it OUT of the phone!

The name Andromeda comes to mind - was that in a Disney film? Sword in the Stone, maybe? My head is fuzzy on that one. Maybe Andie for short?

i need to ask for some MAJOR prayers. my attendants friends brother who is 12 went to the eye doctor on friday because he told his mom that he saw blood in his eyes. the eye doctor said to get to the ER immediately. come to find out he has a cancerous brain tumor and he is having major brain surgery tomorrow. the outcomes of the surgery are he'll be fine then do radiation/chemo, die, become paralyzed, or have mental challenges. so please pray that the surgery goes well and he will be okay. and if he does pass (which we are praying not) that his family will have comfort knowing he is with Christ. I will let you know his name later i didnt get that from my attendant earlier.

Many, many prayers for him, Karen. Thanks for letting us know so we could lift him up. How terrifying for all involved.

With that, I think I'm off to do some Disney planning. Stephanie has given me hope that an extended family vacation can be planned well, and turn out great!

I don't think so. Chiggers usually burrow under elastic. This is more "rashy". And the bumps are smaller than mosquito bites, but not quite like ant bites. The weird thing is DH helped DS shower when they got home Friday and neither one of them noticed it. No telling!

I think DS turned off Sword & the Stone without watching the whole thing, so that could be! I also thought of Princess Atta, but I don't love that name. DS kind of likes it.

Thanks for the link!! Did you see that there is an Arabella in the new Pirates movie? And there is Anamaria from Curse of the Black Pearl, the only girl pirate. Hmm.

I suppose we could give her some sort of Chinese name. If I knew any Chinese names.

How horrific. That poor child. Prayers for him and his family
