Oh what a nice place to live. Is she living by herself or does she have a roommate? Fill me in on how she came to get a new apt. please.

Her lease was up on the house she was in located in Church Hill. (lovely neighborhood, if you live 3 blocks closer to Broad Street than Kathrin did :scared1: ) She has always wanted to live in "The Fan" and this place opened up just as she started to look. The price and location were perfect and it was available when she needed it to be, so seemed like Kismet! No room mate, and she and Monkey are happy that way. :goodvibes It is small (LR, DR, K, 1 BA and 1 BR) but practically perfect in every way for her.

After Nicholas got home from school on Friday we loaded up the van and headed out. I still needed to stop at Radio Shack and get a Y connection for the kids's headphones to plug into the laptop, and I needed to go by Walmart to get some pull ups for Alyssa. After all that was done we had about an hour and a half drive to the hotel near the airport. We stopped at IHOP and had dinner and then arrived around 8 PM. By the time we got there the kids had their backpacks unloaded and was playing with everything for on the plane in the car. I was annoyed and quickly stuffed everything back in. This fact is important later in the story. So we get everything together that we need for our overnight stay and head to the room. We are signed up for the 6AM shuttle to the airport to catch our 7:35 flight. I get the kids showered and into bed, set the alarm for 4:30 and go to sleep dreaming of Disney.

So the next morning I get up, get myself ready, get the kids up and we are ready to go! Where are the car keys??? Checked my pants pocket from the jeans I had on the night before. Not there. Check the tables. Nope. Check the beds. Nothing. Now I'm panicking. I'm tearing the beds apart, looking through the sheets. I'm unpacking bags and suitcases looking for them. I go outside and look in the van but don't see them. I retrace my steps thinking maybe I dropped them. Still nothing. Called the front desk. No one turned in any keys. By this time our shuttle has come and gone. I finally realize that they are no where to be found and call a wrecker service to come and get in the van. They are there in 15 minutes and voila....the keys are sitting in Alyssa's car seat. Remember the part about me having to repack their backpacks?? It is now 7 AM and I could leave on the 7 AM shuttle. The airport is 5 minutes away. Then I would have to run through the airport with 2 kids hoping and praying that I would make it. I call Southwest and find out there are about 20 or so seats available on the 1:30 flight, which arrives in Orlando at 3:45. Fine. What choice do I have? We will only miss spending the day in MK and should arrive in time for our ADR at Chef Mickey's. So we end up having a leasurely bfast at the hotel, and then take the 9 AM shuttle to the airport. Now I have 4 hours to wait in the airport, with 2 kids. Good thing I had the laptop.

When we were eating lunch at the airport, Nicholas bit into his cheeseburger and his loose front tooth came out! He thought he had swallowed it, but we found it in the bun. I think this turned his stomach a bit, because he got really pale and didn't want to eat. I think it was a combo of that and being tired. They did sleep about an hour and a half on the plane, which was a good thing.

When we finally arrived at OKW, my parents had already gotten there and checked in. We dropped our bags in our room, which was right across the parking lot from the HH, a great location. Very quiet, but not much of a view. We headed off to Chef Mickey's and made it with 5 minutes to spare. The kids were so excited to see Mickey and the gang, and it was just a nice way to start off the trip.

The name Andromeda comes to mind - was that in a Disney film? Sword in the Stone, maybe? My head is fuzzy on that one. Maybe Andie for short?

oooh! I like that!

Thanks for the link!!:thumbsup2 Did you see that there is an Arabella in the new Pirates movie? And there is Anamaria from Curse of the Black Pearl, the only girl pirate. Hmm.

I suppose we could give her some sort of Chinese name. If I knew any Chinese names.

Those are good ones - I like Arabella!

I don't know any Chinese names, but your comment made me think of one of my friends who is named Anice. She spells it with a "c", but Anise, the plant originated in the Mediterranean and Asia. Might give you a bit of Asian influence, plus an "A" name.

ugh i just wish tomorrow was over! i spent some time going over things for my interview but im not exactly sure what to expect so its freaking me out...im not great at remembering all the formal concepts, but i do good in the classroom..hopefully the fact that i student teach there wil lhelp me...they know me and have seen me work..so even if i blow the interview, maybe that will help..ughh!!!

:wave2: Sorry been MIA lately! I just got home from work (on a Sunday, yes!) we moved a few desks around in the office. So once again, I have a new desk area. Good news is that we get new phones soon! We'll be entering the new century and finally have VOICE MAIL! (I know...odd that I'm  ing about voicemail huh?!?)

Welcome home all you trippers back from Disney!!! I can't wait to see pics from all the trips!

Yay for you! I bet voice mail will make your job a LOT easier. :thumbsup2

But, always watch what you wish for...:rotfl:

wow, Chanon... makes for a long, long week. I hope that you get some relaxation in tonight. By the way... there are 2 envelopes from you sitting on my piano to be opened later on today! Thanks. :goodvibes

Thanks for all the advice on the P&P party, I think the best thing to do is wait until we are there and decide. It will be hurricane season and there is no telling what might happen. I took out the insurance on this trip, but those tickets would be non refundable as Elizabeth mentioned so it is definitely worth paying the extra on the day of.

Elizabeth - please don't taek this the wrong way, but when I saw the picture of your new kitty, I immediately thought Cruella, it's the way that her markings are different on each side of her face. She is adorable.

I totally forgot about hurricane season. Probably not a bad idea, after all!

And I like your suggestion of Cruella! :goodvibes

Thank you! He just called!:)

The Caller ID showed Frito Lay so I very nearly had a heart attack. His battery is dead in his phone, and he doesn't have a car charger. He was calling from the warehouse to say he is on his way home. He thought it was funny that I was worried.

Tell him he's not allowed to worry us all like that!

Tammi--love part one...the kids shirts are adorable! im glad you were able to get a flight that was not TOO much later!
Thanks! Those shirts are compliments of Denise from our December 2005 trip. It's a good thing that I was able to get on that flight because SW only has 2 flights to MCO from Dulles! I don't know what I would have done if it didn't work out.

:rotfl2: We know. We are actually big villain lovers, but none of us are particularly fond of Cruella.

Oh and I was able to get everyone's requests taken care of, except for poor Robyn. For the life of me I couldn't find a Mickey spoon/fork set. Hopefully I will get everything in the mail in the next day or 2. Except for you, of course, Elin. ;)

i need to ask for some MAJOR prayers. my attendants friends brother who is 12 went to the eye doctor on friday because he told his mom that he saw blood in his eyes. the eye doctor said to get to the ER immediately. come to find out he has a cancerous brain tumor and he is having major brain surgery tomorrow. the outcomes of the surgery are he'll be fine then do radiation/chemo, die, become paralyzed, or have mental challenges. so please pray that the surgery goes well and he will be okay. and if he does pass (which we are praying not) that his family will have comfort knowing he is with Christ. I will let you know his name later i didnt get that from my attendant earlier.

You bet, Karen! Prayers will be said for everyone!

Great start to the TR, Tammi! Ugh about the car keys, but totally understandable. Thank goodness SW had plenty of seats on the next flight!

The first round of pics are very cute - glad to see that Alyssa is having fun with Mickey and the gang still! :goodvibes

And congrats, Nicholas, on the lost tooth! Did Tinker Bell visit? ;)

You'll do great, Jen! I don't think you'd be human if you weren't just a little bit nervous. I bet that their knowing your work from student teaching will definitely count for something!

I suppose I will have to wait for a time when we can see one another! :rotfl:

Thanks for taking care of that for me, Tammi. I really do appreciate it.

Loved the beginning of your TR. How awful to have missed your flight over darned car keys! Can't wait to read more! :goodvibes
