Glad Nick was feeling better & able to go camping!

Nick loved the campout though he is very tired now. They did a lot and he made good progress toward his tenderfoot rank. He is happy.

Now we're heading out to work on the camper.

It's just a little too far of a drive for you, isn't it? Otherwise, I'd say come down in Sept! We're probably getting group tickets for family in Cooksville/Bloomington, IL area to come and all go together.

The Caller ID showed Frito Lay so I very nearly had a heart attack. His battery is dead in his phone, and he doesn't have a car charger. He was calling from the warehouse to say he is on his way home. He thought it was funny that I was worried.

Here is our new kitty. Not a very flattering photo, but since we don't have her home yet it is the best I can do. I think DH took a pic of her with his phone yesterday, but I don't know how to get it OUT of the phone!

i feel so lazy...i have done nothing but watch movies and take a nap today--( well i did "study" for the interview for a hour-dont think it helped much)

Hope his surgery goes well How scary for him & his family, prayers for all.

i need to ask for some MAJOR prayers. my attendants friends brother who is 12 went to the eye doctor on friday because he told his mom that he saw blood in his eyes. the eye doctor said to get to the ER immediately. come to find out he has a cancerous brain tumor and he is having major brain surgery tomorrow. the outcomes of the surgery are he'll be fine then do radiation/chemo, die, become paralyzed, or have mental challenges. so please pray that the surgery goes well and he will be okay. and if he does pass (which we are praying not) that his family will have comfort knowing he is with Christ. I will let you know his name later i didnt get that from my attendant earlier.

I am trying to clear off my desk. I took EVERYTHING off when we hooked up the new computer. I threw it all in the empty box from the computer. It is all still in the box. But now there are all sorts of papers that we have tossed on the desk in the past week. Aurora has decided her new spot is on the top shelf of the desk beside the printer. I need to put the picture frames back up there, so I am sure that will make her mad.

Before going to bed last night Garrett told me he misses Disney & is ready to go back now. I wish I could take them on a quick trip, but at this time I don't see it happening

I asked him when he gets older & has children if he will let me go with his family to Disney. He said sure, you will help me pay for the trips right? I pay for them now, so I guess he thought I would always be paying lol Of course I would pay my way & if he needed a little help I am sure I would help all I could, but I would never tell him that!

That's a good idea. Just see how things are going in the hour or so before the party. If there are tickets left, great. If not, no big deal. I agree with Tammi about not liking to buy non-refundable things for your arrival day. Not that you will have snow in September like we did in February, but we have had some serious delays from thunderstorms in the summer.

I am ready to go back now, too. I wish DS loved Disney that much. He enjoys it when we go, but he doesn't LOVE it and count the days like I do. I wonder if he will still go when he is all grown up.

Tammi - We had to have Amanda put down on Tuesday. Her poor old body just wasn't able to make it any longer. We are worried that Aurora is lonely now, so we decided to get a kitten to keep her company. The kitten is in a foster home right now, so we aren't exactly sure when we will get to bring her home. She isn't spayed yet, and they won't allow us to spay her at our vet's -they insist on doing it before we can take her.

Oh Elizabeth, how sad. I'm so sorry. But hopefully with a new kitty around it will ease your sad heart a bit.

Thanks for all the advice on the P&P party, I think the best thing to do is wait until we are there and decide. It will be hurricane season and there is no telling what might happen. I took out the insurance on this trip, but those tickets would be non refundable as Elizabeth mentioned so it is definitely worth paying the extra on the day of.

Elizabeth - please don't taek this the wrong way, but when I saw the picture of your new kitty, I immediately thought Cruella, it's the way that her markings are different on each side of her face. She is adorable.
