The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 24

Hope everyone had a good Easter. I went to my Grandma's and then came home and worked on homework. I am now watching Desperate Housewives as I needed a break from my paper. I hope I finish it and do well. I know I should probably be working on it right now but my brain is fried. I'll probably go to bed soon and work on it again in the morning before I go into work at 11am and then when I come back home from work. And then Tuesday before work and hopefully I will be finished at that point as it is due by midnight.

My Girl Scout co-leader and her family could use some prayers and pixie dust. Not to get into too many details but one of their daughters has been having major behavior and other issues which are affecting the whole family, the girls schooling, the troop, relationships with peers, etc. I am seriously hoping things improve soon as it is really affecting the family.

Thank you for all the love today...I knew I could be honest with all of you and not be looked at like I had two heads...well maybe you all are looking at my posts that way anyway (how would I know?? )

I started out feeling better today...than an incident happened...I'm so done.


Deb...I love your hair...it's about time for my yearly....hate my hair cut it off time.

Becky...your troop and that family will be in my prayers.

Well I woke up this morning to feeling like my back went out. Icould not move without being in pain. I had to have Jeff come home from work. My mom came and got Olivia and took her to church. Jeff massaged my back and I took tylenol and was finally able to get up without pain. We came home around 5 and my computer would not load netscape. It took Jeff 3 hours to get it fixed. I have a heating pad on my back now. I think it is time to take more tylenol

Jennifer, I hope that you got your disposal fixed! I know that is a problem that you don't want at anytime, but why does it have to happen during a family gathering?

Elizabeth, your comment about your son in a polo shirt and underwear cracked me up! Leighanna does the exact same thing. I am always telling her to put her pants on, but she says she is more comfortable without them!

Glynis, sounds like you had a great weekend! Can't wait to see pics!

Well, I have been up for over 24 hours now, so I must get some sleep. It really stinks to have to work on a holiday, when you have plans for the whole day, but the extra money will come in handy in Disney!

Deb - I love your new haircut, and I think the color is great as it is. But, if you want to try something new, I say "go for it" since it is all temporary no matter how you look at it. It will grow!

Oh I forgot to mention this really yummy and easy dessert we had yesterday. My mom found it in Family Circle magazine or something like that anyway. We served it on angel food cake and it was delicious and very light after a big meal.

Strawberry Mousse
1 egg white
1/2 c sugar
2 c chopped strawberries

Beat egg white for 2 minutes until white and frothy. Slowly add sugar and strawberries while beating on medium speed. After combined, beat on high for 15 minutes or until the mixture fills the bowl. Transfer to decorative/serving bowl and freeze for 4 hours (I froze it overnight). Garnish with fresh fruit before serving.

Thanks for all the compliment on my hair. That is the new color It is a bit darker and much redder than my normal color. At least it is subtle I gues My neice noticed it immediately, but no one else said anything Other than Chris of course. He said nice things, but he loves me and has too

I hope to have a quiet day here today. We need to pick up all the messes in Colby's room and see what other things we can get done. We made good progress so I should continue right?
