Good morning, DDA! And Happy Easter!!

We need prayers here: A local marching band(Alameda) semi carrying it's equipment jack-knifed this morning ending up on top of a car carrying some of the band members. The dad of one passed away. I am sure this will affect all of the marching bands around.

How horrible! Those families will be in my thoughts today.

I'm alright I am sick of schoolwork. I am up to page 19 on my paper and it will probably be like 60 pages or so.:sad2:
I finished my rebates for my computer and other things I bought. So hooray for getting money back when it arrives.
I also finished my expense reports for work, so more money back. At least I get free money for Disney out of the deal as I charged stuff to my Disney Visa and also Discovercard so I get money back with both of those.:thumbsup2
I went back to work today at my normal store, and still haven't seen my manager since before I went to Rehoboth the first time and I still found lots of things which were undone or should have been taken care of.:sad2: So I am not happy with her again. I think I just need to be like everyone else and stop caring about everything at work. It won't make a difference as my manager probably wouldn't notice.

Hang in there! DH gets SO angry with his co-workers because they just don't have the same work ethic that he does. And they never seem to suffer any consequences for being so lazy.

It's good you have a possibility. I hope something wonderful pops up before you need to make a decision.

Theresa, good luck with everything! You can always come here or call one of us if you want to talk! If my mother can squish down to a 2/1 apt. from a 4/2.5 house with a huge garage then anyone can!;) Storage units are a magical invention.

Robyn - Enjoy your day!

Nothing excting on our agenda. I need to go over to work to feed the cat, but that's about it!

I gave DS his Easter presents - Jelly Bellys, Jibbitz, some Peter Pan mini-pins, Pirate sunglasses, swim trunks, and 3 books on puberty. The selection of books for boys is very paltry. I think some of it might be TOO MUCH info, but he can digest it a little bit at a time and come to me if he has questions. Better to have resources available now while he still thinks girls are icky.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

I am going to be honest with you all.......I will be reading along but I don't promise I will post...real life stinks right now...this stuff with my grandparents is bugging me and there's other things......and I am just an emotional mess and I'm not even sure why (and no Jennifer it isn't what you think...not even a possibility;) )

So you all are in my thoughts and prayers:hug: ...hopefully this will be better in a couple of weeks.

Becky got up and went to work for 8am. The Easter Bunny didn't come until after she left. He "hid" her basket on the counter in her bathroom under a towel. Katrina's is in her room on her stand just inside the door so that she gets it when she comes home next. Who knows when that will be.

The Cheese Torte is done and so are the devilled eggs. I decided to make a strawberry yogurt pie last night as well since Chuck's SIL doesn't like cheese torte at all. That way everyone will have a choice or can have a little of both. We have to leave at 11am to get there. The meal is at 1am. This is all CST. Chucks sister & family have to drive back to Milwaukee this afternoon and we want to get back home to spend time with Becky after she gets off work.

Well time to get moving so that we can leave at 11am. I still need a shower. Have a wonderful day everyone. I'll check it tonight. When we get back, I have lots of work to get done.

Happy Easter DDA

We are getting ready to go over to DD's house and will be there till this evening. Hope everyone has a good day.

I hope everyone is enjoying their day, whether or not you celebrate Easter!

Bob and I are headed to Richmond at about 4:00 to take the girls out to dinner. It was just too much to ask of this Mom not to be with her daughters on Easter! :)

The Easter Bunny stopped by and left a gorgeous journal for Kristin and an antique English china trio set for Kathrin. Won't they be surprised? ;)

HAPPY EASTER, DDA!!!
I hope everyone enjoys the time with their friends and family. I have missed chatting with you all the past few days.

Tom - Leighanna is just adorable.

Theresa - :grouphug: for you and your family as you struggle through this difficult time. Know that I am thinking of and praying for you.

I hope you all are enjoying your Easter!

I am finally sitting down for just a minute... each of the families should start getting here any time now! Kyle surprised me and was home when I got home from the early church service! Of course, it wasn't much of an "Easter together". He cut his finger and had to get it stitched up (he considered just doing it himself, the dork!). Now our drain and garbage disposal are acting up. Ten minutes ago, we had (sorry for the image ahead)... what looked like vomited, finely chopped potato skins and brown water filling our kitchen sink. Totally not appetizing, sitting right across from the island full of food. UGH! He went to the store and is now trying to fix it.... I'm trying not to freak out (hence being here) :rotfl:

We have cheesy potatoes made and ready to bake... the ham is thawed in the fridge, ready to be cooked and glazed ... deviled eggs, angel food cupcakes and a fruit plate (as well as tons of candy) are out - and, of course, already being consumed.

When everyone gets here, mom and I will try and figure out how to correlate the cooking times (she's bringing corn souffle, green beans, etc). Then we'll have our egg hunt while the (early) dinner is cooking. Yes, all adults and still an egg hunt :teeth: This is the first year I've hidden the eggs (80 of them ), so I'm a bit nervous about the outcome!

I can't wait to see pictures of your day... especially all those cute kids in their easter outfits, if it was warm enough (or you were prepared enough) to wear them. My adorable, spring/Easter dress is hanging in my closet with the price tags on since it's been snowing for 5 days now. :sad2:

Have a great afternoon!

Hope everyone is enjoying their day! My family just left so my festivities are over for the day--im thinking of taking advantage of the quiet time and start trying on summer clothes for my trip next month!

I have been cleaning a bit. Got DS's bathroom all scrubbed and one (yes, ONE) load of laundry done. DH loaded the dishwasher and cleaned the fishbowl. I finally got around to going through the HUGE stack of coupons that has been building - half of them were expired!

DH is going to go to the grocery to grab a few more things for dinner. Since DS wasn't feeling well when we went to Sam's yesterday we just grabbed a few things and came home.

DS is being snarky because I told him he has clean up or he will NOT be allowed to "camp" in the living room tonight. His room is a disaster, yet he is in MY room playing Nintendo. That REALLY makes me mad because I told him to turn OFF the Game Cube in the living room.

Jennifer - No cute Easter outfits here! DS is in a polo shirt and his underwear. He hates to wear pants for some reason.

 I hope that things are much better very soon!

Well things aren't any better here.....grandma has decided that she will be "sick" at supper because she really does think Abi is doing this on purpose.
Jim told me a little of what he said to her and what she said back...she just flabbergasts me.

One apt. we went to look at today was rented when we got there...but the other one might actually work better for us anyway...apts are definitely smaller than we are used to but there are no houses for rent around our area....we've downsized before we can do it again.

Good luck getting out soon!!! I'd gladly lose a few square feet to get out of your situation.
