Thanks for all the congratulations for my boys. It was a good day for them.

Work was profitable tonight and since I hadn't planned on it I'm very pleased. It was very busy and I had my first people that were not happy with me. Oh well, There was no pleasing them. I'm told that I should expect it as many people want to get their meals for free. These people may have not been happy and chose not to tip, but they did pay for their entire meal

I hadn't planned to work tomorrow, but if the person I covered for tonight isn't feeling better tomorrow I may be working then too. I told them that I needed to know early in the morning or I would not be available. If I have to work tomorrow night, I will move dinner to lunch for my parents. Only time will tell.

Well, either the boards were down last night or everyone went to bed at 11:00!

I actually got into bed at 9:00 and don't remember when I fell asleep... maybe 9:15? And I slept the whole way through till 4:00 a.m. without once waking up. The lovely Button decided she had to go out at 4:00 so I am not sure if I would have wakened that early without my canine alarm clock or not.

Now I can't seem to go back to sleep but I think I will curl up on the couch and see if I can "rest my eyes" like my Dad used to do. See y'all later this morning!

Elizabeth-I am glad you got your phone line worked out.

I went on the evil ebay and won again....I've got to stop!!

Abi and I spent over 6 hours at the zoo today...we saw things we normally don't get to because of trying to make sure everybody else is happy. The AZA regional conference was on site today....so our zoo was run over with zookeepers!! Made it a little more crowded but there were also lots more docents out and some fun hands on activities. I had a Lorikeet sit on my head....some "helpful" stranger ended up dumping nectar on my head to get the bird off my head. All in all a good day!!

How sweet of them to help you. Hopefully that didn't result in a whole bunch of Lorikeets sitting on your head.

Good morning, DDA!

I was in bed by 10:45 last night. I had shut down the new computer and put all the cords under the sheet so Aurora couldn't chew them. Good thing, too, because about 10:40 there was this huge BOOM and the lights went out. They came back on right away, but I can see how that would have been very bad for the new computer! Since it is still in a temporary location on top of the dining room table it isn't plugged into surge protectors yet!

I am still completely baffled by the new e-mail. Hopefully I will figure it out soon. I really need to get it all changed over so we can disconnect the old computer!

Good morning!

Only 200 more days till our Oct. meet

Katie was at a sleepover last night & she called me early this morning telling me she didn't feel well. I went & got her, brought her home & she she has a 102 fever. She would have never left her friends if she wasn't feeling good. Her friends were so sweet, they were all hugging her & telling her to feel better. Well she is eating a bagel & I gave her some Motrin..hopefully I can get her to lay down for an hour or so...poor baby.


Thankfully we have nothing going on today..Sunday we have parties, sports, & church so it should be hectic.

This is my first post from the NEW computer with the DSL!

Hi, all!

I hope you have nice Saturdays planned! I'm getting ready to go look at wallpaper again , but maybe I'll luck out and find something this time. I also need to do fun stuff like get our taxes done, clean out a closet, etc. Ick! I did spend most of the morning doing some research on laptops, as I may break down and get one sometime in the near future. I love my desktop, but it would be nice to have portability. We have always been able to use Jonathan's work laptop with no problems when we're out of town, but he gets a new one this week that is a tablet PC, and we're not real sure how that's going to work out. It would be nice to be able to DIS from bed!

That doesn't mean that we won't do other sit down meals, but we will definitely do those 5. Otherwise counter service seems to fill us all up and no one objects. In fact they like to keep going so not doing sit downs is more efficient in a commando touring plan

Hi everyone...Just got back from out cabin trip...here are some pics:

It looks like you all had a wonderful time. I would love a vacation like that. I can't believe how big your grandson is. It seems like he was just born.

So today was the day for the bowling awards. This was much anticipate in our house. First up was the Bantams. Colby's team (and Summer's too) placed 4th out of 5 teams. All teams got a trophy so they were very pleasedDeb

Congrats to the Brooks'! Way to go, boys!
