The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 24

I was checking in here last night until midnight, but no one was posting

I do not have to work tonight and I have all our dinner preparations done

Now we are sitting in the living room watching the first of the Travel Channel Marathon Disney Show That is my plan for the day. I will have to watch the amazing race and tape the shows that I miss during those 2 hours, but otherwise I will be getting my disney fix today

We've also figured out our vacation budget for the most part and I remembered that we have lots of Disney Reward dollars that I hadn't factored in. So between the new job, what we've already saved and our reward dollars I think we will be all set ahead of time

I am tempted to buy our premium annual passes now, but may wait a bit though I'm not sure why? I also want to order a DDE card, but I want to be able to use is July 21- August 12 this year and June 21 - July 11 next year. Does anyone know how that works. Is it when you buy it or when you activate it? Or something entirely different?

The DDE card expires 1 year from when you order it. It doesn't get activated. I have heard that it changes to the next month on the 6th of the month. So...if you ordered it on June 6th or 7th you should get a July 08 expire. I'm pretty sure they will tell you the expire date when you call for it. I'm pretty sure I ordered mine on Nov 6th and got it just in time for my Dec 12th departure date.

Ellen I was thinking of you this week. I ordered some T's from blankshirtstore.com and noticed they had 2 styles of blank bibs. Seem perfect for embroidery.

ETA...I ordered on Thurday around 4pm and got my shirts on Friday. And they were really nice-heavy weight-and under $2 each. I got a Hanes T at Walmart (I think it was around $5) and it was way too sheer for my taste.

its 2:15 and its is soo quiet at my house. mom is asleep on the couch and my dad took his mom back to austin and my older brother went back home too. Party was a success. dad said he knew something was up but didnt know to what extent. he loved it. it was fun.

yes, you can, if necessary. And, I ordered my DDE card last year in September and told them I was not traveling until October. It does not expire until October 31, 2007 so I won't have to renew it for our trip in October!

But Tammi & Steffy get to say I'm going to Disney THIS month. How excited are they?

I got my ME tags this week.

Got one load of laundry-15 blank white T's all folded. I'm making my friend's SIL and 3 niece's Kate's Girls Only, making all 6 of us a WDW spelt out with characters (I think this is also Kates), making myself both a Tigger bday shirt to wear on my birthday and the Queen of Hearts that I'll wear on another day, and a Pooh breakfast T. Also making Lizzy (Pooh), Emma (Tigger), and Joe (Mickey) spray painted with Pooh & Tigger stencils. Maybe make myself a Tink one.


I make some composition book journals for my friend's 2 younger nieces (7&9). I got some really cool scrapbook paper at Micheals but it was heavy like card stock so I couldn't fold it over to the inside. They aren't perfect but I think they will like them. I will take pictures to post. I also purchased a red composition book to make a journal for Lizzy. I bought yellow & white polka dot paper and check paper for her journal and a booklet of Pooh punch outs that I will put on hers. I thought about making one for Joe with either a park map or a map of the whole WDW resort.

OK...really off to do taxes now. I'll be back.

I feel like this latest Aidan update hasn't been posted.... if it has, forgive the duplicate!

"Well as of 11:00pm last night Aidan is breathing on his own. NO Assisted oxygen at all. So we are now down to two tubes. His direct line for IV's and such and his feeding/drain tube. This tube helps keep his stomach empty while his insides heal.

They also said that the smell is gone that made them check for an infection. This in and of itself does not mean it's gone, but we know it's not getting worse."
