It's quiet here today....

...so forgive me for talking cake again! :rotfl:
I think I have the color situation figured out - I'm going to see if she can add Luster Dust (edible glitter!) to the leaves to give them a hint of color. And we decided on a cake topper! Color wise, it'll go well with the cake.

...now just to figure out how to put it on the cake...at the top? Under the top layer with pillars (which I hate those white pillars so she'd have to be really creative with that one)? Or should we just put it next to the cake? Does it really matter this early? Nope! But it gives me something else to obsess about! HA!

Luster Dust!!! Yes!!! That will be beautiful!

Hi Everybody,

Jen - I'm so sorry to hear about Champ, :grouphug:

Terry - Glad you finally made it home safely, I would definitely be writing a letter.

Chanon - I also like the cake with the leaves, and I love the topper. I browsed through the web site, cakes sure have changed since my mom and I used to make them.

Theresa - I have a closet full of Prom/Homecoming dress stories I could share. Get ready it's only starting, and just when you get done with Cassidy you will be starting over again with Abi. My youngest has the well endowed problem, we found that the gowns that were two piece worked best.

I've got to pull out my designing hat and make some designs for our trip with DGS, I'm looking for the O'hana sign to use as a background for one so if anyone has it I would greatly appreciate it.

I also realized that we will be in the Magic Kingdom on 9/04/07, the anniversary of June's passing. I'd like to leave something from the DDA at her bench, so I'm open for suggestions.

I was wondering if somebody would be there on that day! We'll all have to brainstorm and figure something out!

That will probably do me! Over the afternoon I've gotten visions of the images on each cake and think that I can duplicate it closely enough to be satisfied. With these things, I should be able to figure out what everything was made of. Thanks for the help!!!

Well, now I'm intrigued! You'll have to post a picture when you get them done, please?

I know that it's not Disney but I am going to go for a girls weekend with my BESTEST friend that I haven't seen in a very long time.

We are open for suggestions for the first weekend in June. This is something we both need...just us time!!

Someplace in Pa????? :goodvibes

hey I really need some designs!!! One is a birthday design for an 11 yr old with Ariel on it and the other is a non-birthday one for a 10 year old with Cinderella on it. If any of you GLAMOUROUS :cool2: designers can help me I need them asap!!!:scared:

How about the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame? Lunch on the Goodtime III? Shopping at the Galleria or Tower City? Visit the Cleveland Zoo and their new pandas? :teeth:

I agree with Tia too. As I was reading about the first apartment I was thinking "surely that couldn't apply to a service animal...". :wizard: Hope things work out for you!

Karen, I agree with everyone else. There is NO WAY they can tell you Shocker can't live there. I am sure that is a huge no-no and a violation of ADA and other laws. My lease is the standard TAA lease and in section 27 it states "We will authorize a support animal for a disabled person. We may require a written statement from a qualified professional verifying the need for the support animal." I am not sure if they can make you pay the pet deposit or not, but they can't tell you that the dog can't live there!

Guess what everyone--12 more days of teaching!

Yay! Almost finished!

I am going on an interview on Sunday with the family I spoke to yesterday.:)

Also, the agent I met with Monday night called me today to tell me about a job they want me to interview for. 2 girls, ages 10 & 7. The family wants someone full time who will run the household while the girls are in school. Errands, laundry, that sort of thing. They have had nannies before, but none of them have been high caliber nannies so their max salary is my minimum salary. The agent REALLY wants me to meet them, even though I told her point blank this is NOT the kind of job I want. So we'll see. She was talking to me while I was getting Brother from carpool so I might be mistaken, but I would have sworn she said she would call me back instead of me calling her back. She was calling my references this afternoon, so maybe she hasn't called the family to set up an interview yet. My friend (listed as a personal reference) called to tell me they called her, and that the agent mentioned my last employer gave me an excellent reference. Then Momboss called me this afternoon to talk to me about some scheduling stuff and she said they called her, too. I don't think the other agency has called any of my references, which makes me mad. They have a listing I want to interview for, and time's a wastin'! Those jobs with one baby get snapped up fast. But chances are they won't let me meet that family because I have a (GASP!) child, so I am probably better off without them!

I love the topper. On the top of the cake would be nice & I like the idea of the leaves getting bigger as they go down the cake.

Girls gotta have some girl time!! Las Vegas would be a great choice. Even a nice resort nearby maybe like a spa? You can catch up over herbal tea & pampering treatments...

On my May trip I'm planning on taking a boat service to the airport. I just checked the Sunday schedule and the 11:00 am boat will get me to the airport at 11:25. The next boat isn't until 12:30 and arrives at 12:55. I think that's a bit too late for a 2:00pm flight. SO.....I will be at Logan Airport on my birthday, waiting to go to Disney at:

I was thinking I might be at MK because it's open til midnight that night but my Auditor friend that's going with me pointed out that it would actualy be 5/7/7 by then. :confused3 Still not thinking real clearly with this head cold.;)
