Yep. Getting out of that tankini is as much of a challenge as getting in!:rotfl2:

I keep forgetting to tell you guys about my bargain! I was at Dillard's yesterday and found a 25" Delsey suitcase for $45 (originally $180). I am sort of a luggage addict.:rolleyes1 I bought DH a new Delsey carry-on for the Feb trip and he really likes it. This one is the same size as a couple of our Samsonites, so we will use it in August instead of the duffle I usually use for my shoes. The duffle has one of those telescoping handles and the framework for the handle takes up a lot of the interior room in the bag, so I should be able to fit a lot more in the new suitcase. Not sure how much more I really NEED to fit in there, but you just never know.;)

I thought I was the only one that had a shoe suitcase!! :rotfl:

Elin If I were to choose a place to live it would be to remodel one of the TreeHouse Villas. It is a bit secluded, but still close enough to everything. We all know that I am a big kid so how cool would living in a tree house be?

Hey, I wanted one of the tree houses. That is perfect for Chuck & I. We could get a pontoon boat and ride down to downtown disney. That is one of Chuck's favorite parts of the whole vacation. The 4 of us have always dreamed about staying in one of the treehouses and were bummed since they are no longer rented out. I guess that would make it that much better - neighbors with Chris & Deb!

Hi there! I can't remember the last time I posted. I'm actually at my mom's house right now, but since they're all watching a Cavs game, I thought I'd use this opportunity to let you know what we've been up to.

Alyssa has had four birthday parties, the most recent one tonight with my dad, and we're still celebrating one more time with my mom tomorrow night. I baked three cakes! I'll be sure to post some pictures later.

We had some major issues with our bipolar/schizophrenic neighbor when she went off her meds again. I know I haven't posted much about her, but this time she got her hands on a loaded gun, so it was a pretty stressful situation. Luckily (well for us anyway), she is now in a psychiatric ward, and hopefully her grown children will not allow her to move back into her house alone.

We had such a nice first Easter with Matthew. I'll post some pictures of that too, soon. Our community Easter egg hunt was the week before, when the weather was still gorgeous. I can't believe we had 60 degree weather around Christmas and it's sleeting tonight in Huron.

We researched and visited some preschool programs for Alyssa to attend next year. I'm really happy with the choice we made. She'll be in a three day program for 2 1/2 hours/day.

Matthew has seven teeth, going on eight any day now. He balks at all baby food now, and he "army crawls" all over the place. He's still not the best sleeper, but he's definitely doing much better than he was a few months ago.

As I said before, we're out-of-town right now. We're bringing my grandma back home, and she's going to spend five days with us. I hope the weather gets nice again, so we can take her to the zoo, park, etc.

I think that about covers the "big" things. It's hard to believe April is half over! I've already started planning Matthew's first birthday party, because it's going to be here before I know it!

I hope you are all doing well. I'm sorry I just can't keep up on the thread. Please keep me in the loop via PMs if you think about it. In the meantime, here's lots of :grouphug: and :wizard: for you all.

Take care!
Amy (and Kevin, Alyssa, and Matthew too) :)

Ditto!

Elizabeth Why do they need credit reports anyway?

They don't!:rotfl2: Well, a nanny with tremendous debt would be seen as a theft risk. The thing is, I have 14 years of references showing I am NOT a theft risk. Dadboss gave me 2 $20's the other night thinking he was handing me 2 $1's. I gave them back the next day when I looked in my wallet and realized what he had done. I turn in all of the receipts for the transactions I put on their credit card so if they have questions (which they never do) I can show them what the charges are for. My last employer preferred "petty cash" where she kept cash in an envelope and I took out what I needed and left the receipts for her. I have to say I like the credit card much better! But no potential employer needs my credit report as part of the interview process.

I thought I was the only one that had a shoe suitcase!! :rotfl:

No. I have a shoe bag. Sometimes I put things like umbrellas in there, too, but it is mostly shoes.:)

Hi, Amy! Happy birthday, Alyssa!:cheer2: What cute pics!! DS has that duck, too! Or he used to.

Hi Amy!!!

4 parties huh????? That is a lot of cake!!

Your life sounds so interesting!! NOT!!

Hope you are able to settle down soon.

Amy - Hopefully your crazy neighbor won't be back. My uncle was schizophrenic and he preferred not to be med compliant, but he wasn't dangerous. Your neighbor sounds scary!:scared:

Our neighbor with the LOUD music seems to have been silenced by the notice from the leasing office stating that the disturbance is grounds for eviction. Since we couldn't figure out where it was coming from they sent notices to the whole building. The people who weren't making any noise know it wasn't meant for them, and I am sure they are glad the loud music has stopped. Of course I say that now. They like to turn it on at 11:20 PM on Saturdays, so we'll see if it is quiet in 2 hours. They also like to turn it on Sundays after the office closes so I can't call and report them.

I had no time to read today, so after posting good morning that was it.

If anything important needs addressing, please PM me.

Thank you, Heidi

Are my classes done yet??:confused3 :confused3

I have spent like all week starring at a computer screen. At work and then come home to stare at a computer screen to finish my schoolwork. My legs and back, butt hurt so bad from sitting in this chair. It is quite comfy but not for like 8 hours or more. This has been me like all week.:surfweb:

Just have one more assignment to complete this one is only 15 pages.:woohoo:  :yay: Much better than the 60 pages and then 45 pages for the last two assignments I completed. :sad2:

Update on Aidan
Well we may have some answers. It seems that Aidan's heart does have thick walls and this reduces the amount of flow going through his body. This is not seen easily as the pressure is not dependent on flow, so even though his pressure has stayed strong throughout this ordeal, the amount flowing has been reduced.

Due to his thick walls the cavity is reduced and thus the faster his heart beats, the less blood he gets moving around his body. This can be a direct influencer on his lungs and the reason they grow tired every few days or so.

Today we were able to meet with his cardiologist and he is very familier with this situation and was able to prescribe him an IV form of the medication that would normally be taken orally. We are now awaiting results of his next cardiogram on Monday and hope to see a change in his rate of flow.

This could be one of the answers I have been praying for the Doctor's to find and for that I'm thankful, however I continue to pray that this will not postpone his reconnection and recovery time. He did say we will probably be bringing some medicine home for the next few months.

I have continued to tell the Doctor's that I have no problem with new issues, just tell me they can be fixed. So they took me up on my offer.

After just speaking with his Nurse, he is now 11 lbs. 6 ozs. What a big boy he is becoming.

A few new pictures posted.

Sending prayers, :wizard: and  to all of you.

Please keep the good thoughts coming for my co-leader and her family.

I am outta here to get off this computer.:woohoo: I'm planning on taking a break from homework tomorrow and then back to the grind on Monday to finish that final paper due on the 24th.

Becky - Kudos to you for hanging in there! I hope you are able to get this last assignment out of the way so you can relax for a bit!:wizard:
Thanks for the update on Aidan! I hope this new med will help his recovery!

Glynis, glad that you had a great time! I wish that I could be happy with 4 bites of ice cream.

I really wanted more than 4 bites, but I've learned from sad experience what happens to my body if I go past my limit! It's just not worth the pain!!!

Sounds like things are really hopping around your house these days!!! It's amazing how your life gets taken over by your kids, isn't it? It gets easier to manage as they get a little bit older.

Are you having a fun trip? How fun that you get to bring your grandmother home with you! I'll send out pixie dust for zoo weather!

Sorry your neighbor is pretty freaky! Scary!!!

Post when you can, and we'll make sure that important stuff gets to you! For now, the most important news is that Theresa is about to become a homeowner!!!! We're just keeping our fingers crossed that it all goes smoothly!!!!!

Dumping Syndrome.
My sister's friend had it a couple of times, because I guess she didn't learn her lesson the first time. :sad2:
