Lindsay I am sure you have already gotten a response, but I would be happy to do this for you!

A random request - Tammi's post made me think of it...

Would anyone in the DDA group mind doing me a favor on the October trip? Last year, I got Mickey and Minnie to sign post cards to my nieces and nephew, and planned to send them sometime this fall to get them excited for our upcoming December trip. Well, I think they would be even more thrilled if the postmark is Lake Buena Vista, vs. Dallas. ;)

If I send them to someone closer to the date, could you pop them in the mail while you're down there?

Deb & Glynis sounds like a very busy day in your homes!

I got this in an email and just had to share it....

One day a mother died.
And on that clear, cold morning,
in the warmth of her bedroom,
the daughter was struck with
the pain of learning that sometimes
there isn't any more.
No more hugs,
no more lucky moments to celebrate together,
no more phone calls just to chat,
No more "just one minute."
Sometimes, what we care about the most goes away.
never to return before we can say good-bye,
Say "I Love You."
or
"I Miss You"
So while we have it . . it's best we love it . .
And care for it and fix it when it's broken
and take good care of it when it's sick.
This is true for marriage .... and friendships!
And children with bad report cards;
And dogs with bad hips;
And aging parents and grandparents.
We keep them because they are worth it,
Because we cherish them!
Some things we keep --
like a best friend who moved away
or a classmate we grew up with.
There are just some things that
make us happy, No matter what.
Life is important,
and so are the people we know ...
And so, we keep them close!
I received this from someone today
who thought I was a 'KEEPER'!
Then I sent It to the people
I Think of in the same way!
Now it's your turn to send this to all those people
who Are "keepers" in your life!
{ and I'd like to have this back from you :-) }
Thank you very much
For being a special part of MY Life!
YOU ARE A KEEPER!

This couldn't be more true if I wrote it myself.

Here are our Easter pics...

Looks like a great Easter
Just a quick pop in..

Things are crazy around here.

Molly's behavior has gotten horrible as a result of her being off her medicine. She is not napping at all, I can't remember when her last nap was. So with her not getting any relief for her throat on top of being exhausted has made for some interesting days. What has got me :furious: is that I cannot get a hold of the surgical scheduler to get her endoscopy date set. I keep playing phone tag and have left several messages. The last few have been not so nice.

And then Emma is giving us a run for our money. Remember the imagining of her Easter Basket contents, well she also cut her bangs Sunday morning when she came downstairs. I could care less about her sneaking a peek or even cutting her hair, I know I'm guilty of both. What made it worse was that she lied to us about both. I know all kids lie at some point-I'm just hoping that we have nipped it in the bud. She lost her Ipod and her computer time for the week. Her attitude is getting a little obnoxious and I am wondering where my sweet little  went.

I have caught up but don't know how long that will last. Sending good thoughts to everyone.

The boys go through "testing" phases as I call it. They happen every so often for a week or two then they seem to tow the line for a while. Good luck surviving the "test"

So i had to share....I GRADUATE ONE MONTH FROM TODAY!!

Woo Hoo

I only watched 2 of the 4, Flushed Away and Madagascar.
The other 2 are The Aunt Bully and Shark Tale.

I'm not much of a movie watcher, never was, can't sit still long enough, plus I get bored.

What movies are you watching Heidi?

Well time for me to get going..im going out with Kim (another DISer)..Im sure ill be back sometime tonight--enjoy the rest of your day everyone!

I just learned something new about Glynis! :yay:

Well. Don't be too impressed. Yes, I play the piano, but not wonderfully! I enjoy it, though. I'm teaching Katie and Jacob, since lessons here are very expensive, and quite far away from our house. It was just more economical for me to start them on lessons, and then graduate them to someone else when/if they show an aptitude. Katie is definitely musical. She has a fabulous ear, and can pretty much master anything I throw at her within a week or 2. She loves it, too!

I'm the same way! I find that if I have some hand work to do, I'm more likely to sit through a movie completely. I usually crochet or cross stitch during the movie, which drives Alan nuts!

Hello all! I was supposed to be outside working in the yard, but it's still gross here... so I tried to catch up a bit!

Theresa - Congratulations on the bid! Please keep us posted!

Lindsay - It's nice to see you again before you get really busy with summer stuff!

Jennifer - congratulations on graduation being so soon! Please let us know if you get an antenna topper, and I'll check the next time I'm at the mall.

Tia - the Easter pictures are adorable! Terra is getting so big!

Robyn - tell Molly and Emma I said hello, and :wizard: for this stage of life! :) I hope you and Eric are doing well!

Things have been crazy here, both at home and at work. All Kyle and I can do is keep reminding ourselves (and each other) that our trip is coming up quickly! Three weeks! :)

I hope you all are doing well!

Is today over yet???

I'll second that:confused:

I had Nick's conference and his grades are exceptional!!! He has continually improved all year and his teacher (who I don't care for by the way) was raving about his writing and artistic skills. She says that it isn't often that she looks forward to reading a students assignments, but his are always so different and insiteful :confused3 She says that she is going to miss him next year.

Then on to Hunter's. Apparently he has developed an attitude and isn't being the respectful kind boy that he had been. He has had to stay in for recess for poor behavior and he won't admit when he has done something that he shouldn't have :scared: He also refuses to check his work in math, which has always been his best subject, so now it is his worst subject. She says that he knows how to do it all, but because he won't check his work his grades are not reflecting his ability. I know that I am overreacting because the reality is that he got a B in math instead of straight As, but both his teacher and I know that he has so much potential that he is too lazy to tap into.

This conference couldn't have come on a worse day as I caught 10 minutes of the play earlier today and it is excellent. It is hard to emphasize my disappointment in his lower grades and still be enthusiastic about the play. I'm not sure that he understands the seriousness of the conference. I will not tolerate poor behavior especially in school.

So I is a roller coaster of a day to say the least.

So I just got done with the mortgage broker.......I nearly had a panic attack with him. I had to keep reminding myself to breathe.

AAAAAAAACK!! This waiting for final approval is killing me!!

Oh, Theresa! I can relate entirely too well to this! I was a nervous wreck while we were waiting on our mortgage approval, closing, etc. I couldn't settle down until we had been in our house for several days! :rotfl:

This will all pass, and you guys will be on your way soon enough. Please vent as often as necessary -- lots of people here understand the stress you are experiencing! I'll keep you and your family in my prayers!

Just keep breathing! You will get through this! In through the nose, out through the mouth!

We are all crossing everything for you!
