I've got a date!!! Well, not a date date, but a coffee date, Monday morning while the kids are at school. What does one wear on a coffee date?

Please, weather gods, do not send the storm that they are forecasting. My kids NEED to go to school on Monday!!!!

Sorry, Ellen! It made me hungry too! I definitely can't have most of it, but that doesn't mean I don't want it. It's a good thing we only fondue one or 2 times a year. This year we did New Year's Eve and we're thinking about Valentines day. I don't know, though. We'll see.

OK, so here are my wedding pics, for what they are worth. I didn't save any of the professional pics from my first wedding, but here is a favorite snapshot I saved of me and my sister from 1984 when I was 21.

For my second wedding we got married in our backyard, and my sister took some pictures, but no real photographer. We had both been married before, and didn't want all the hype/expense for our wedding. The picture isn't the greatest , but it's all I've got.

Thanks, Glynis! I hope it goes well. The good thing is that he knows I need to leave to pick up my DD from school, so there is a definite "ending" time, which is good in case it's going poorly.

I had wished my mother had had a long dress. However, it was knee length.

My mom's dress was also a short, plain dress with a little jacket. She was hoping to wear it again for some other occasion, but the cleaners shrunk it. I outgrew it a LONG time before I got married!

Hi, Chris! Glad you could stop in tonight!
Yes, it has Smart Key, but how smart it is remains to be seen! If the system totally malfunctions when the warranty ends I can see us thinking it is anything BUT smart! It also has that funky transmission - Xtronic CVT. No "shift shock". That will take some getting used to , because I have had cars with trasmission problems in the past and if I can't feel it shifting I won't know if it is broken! It does all sorts of stuff we haven't figured out yet. It has lots of airbags and head restraints and it "knows" how large the front passenger is so it can decide to deploy an airbag or not. Should be much safer than the '03, hopefully we will never test that.
