Glynis - I'm anxious to hear your thoughts on WDW. As someone who has never been to DL, tell me how it compares, what you like better at DL, what you like better at WDW, etc. etc. It's always fun to hear first impressions from someone's first trip!

Anne Marie, I love the photos! I really should take the kids to NYC, since it's not that far away, but I'm a scaredy-cat. I don't know my way around at all, and I'm not fond of driving in lots of traffic (particularly when I don't know where I'm going).

Please say prayers for my FIL, Mel. His last childhood friend died today. There were 4 of them that used to hang out as kids. They would have reunions every year with the 4 guys and their families. They continued for years (even after Chuck & I married). This is going to hit him very hard.

I may end up driving him to Milwaukee for the funeral on Monday. It is a holiday for me. Chuck starts his classes at the college that day and can't really miss that. Chuck's SIL is having hip surgery so his brother can't take Mel. I don't know if Mel will let me take him but I would love to spend the time with him if he'll let me.

:grouphug: Prayers said.

Elin - Did you say that you got Disney Crocs at Sports Authority online, or were they regular crocs? I see only kids Disney ones on their website.

Good morning everyone-
i have no clue why i am up this early..then i fell asleep and the fire alarm went off..and now here i am, after 5 hours of sleep--ugh!

Oh my goodness, have you seen the pictures of the Cinderella Suite? It is BEAUTIFUL! Someone just posted some pictures on the Ears to Ears Yahoo Group. Here's the link if you're signed up for the group:
http://ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/earstoears/photos/browse/5898

If not, I would highly recommend joining just to see them. It is gorgeous!

I wonder how they got the pictures? They were working onthe suite the morning I went to MK last month for EMH. Some of my castle pictures have workmen on the balconies carrying things in and out of the castle. Very weird to see!

Nice pictures Jen. Glad you were able to have dinner with Steve and that you will get to see him once more before he goes.

This is Aldo, me, and Steve at dinner--Steve is the one leaving Tuesday, Aldo may be staying here for awhile

Good morning, DDA! I have entered my two months of working 7 days a week so I won't be posting much. I will read and keep up (I hope!) but won't have time to respond a lot. That being said...

I think I forgot in the past few days to say:

Welcome home, Glynis. I am so proud of you!

Anne Marie - great pictures. Wish I could have been on Times Square and in the Theater District with you!

All the party ideas sound wonderful, keep brainstorming!

Many thoughts going out to anyone who is overworked, sick or sad right now. That sounds so lame, but it is heartfelt. ;)

Elin - Did you say that you got Disney Crocs at Sports Authority online, or were they regular crocs? I see only kids Disney ones on their website.

Got adult ones online there back in December. Maybe they are sold out, as almost every other place was when I was looking then. I think WDW has so many of them that they can't keep up with the production! They were everywhere! :rotfl:

so long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye... see you real soon! Off to do lesson plans and head in to teach. Have great days, DDA!

It's been a busy week around here, but it is going quickly! I can't believe we are to Thursday already. Let me see if I can remember what has been happening around here.

Friday and Saturday Matthew was in a school production of Our Town as George. This was the first time he has done a play, and I thought that he and the rest of the cast did a terrific job. He really enjoyed it. Here are a couple of photos that I took that night. I didn't use flash, and my camera doesn't have IS, so they aren't terrific. There were others using flash, and Matthew said that it is very annoying on stage.

(By the way, there is nothing quite like seeing your 15-year old get married!)

Saturday we were supposed to go look at new vans, but we took longer getting the tree down than we thought.

We did look at the vans on Tuesday afternoon. I think it's going to come down to price. There are certain things that I prefer in the Toyota and certain things that I prefer in the Honda. One small thing that annoyed me in the Toyota was the armrest on the driver's side. I need to see in another van to see if this one was broken. It had only two positions. One was up and the other was at a weird downward angle.

The rest of the week has been normal stuff...nursery school, shopping, laundry, driving to activities, etc.
