Hi y'all, long time no type

Thought I'd stop by and say hello from wet and rainy England. I'm supposed to be writing an assignment... which is very dull!

I was just browsing on the net and found this site: http://www.birthdayinabox.com/lobby.asp which made me think of you guys, and all those upcoming birthday parties this year.

Which Harry Potter are you reading? I am finishing up my Peter & the Shadow Thieves and then I think I'm going to start rereading all my Harry Potter's.

just starting order of the phenix(sp). i not really into reading all that much but they are page turners. then i have book 6 and 7 to read then son of a witch i got last year for christmas then aragon and elder. then some where i have to find a job and scrapbook mypictures, move out of here(sometime) and plan a few disney trips. lol alot to do in my not so busy life( all i do is watch tv as of now) i do deserve to relax from 7 1/2 years of college

Terra is getting a bike for her birthday as well. I have to see if she needs a new helmet and pads as well. I think I may see if my BIL will get her a zoo membership or one to The Magic House (local children's museum). He works in an art museum and likes to do gifts like that.

I like doing those things too!! That's why we love the bowling balls and shoes for the girls for Christmas....an activity we all enjoy doing!!

Zoo memberships and museum ones are great!! I think we will do a museum one when our zoo expires in September.

Tia - Another mom was telling me last week that the St. Louis zoo is FREE? Is that right? What does a membership get for you if the zoo is free?

The zoo is free, but there are small-ish costs ($2-4) for the sea lion show, carousel, children's zoo and train. Plus there's the $9 parking fee. I just thought it might be something non-stuff-ish that he could do for her that she would understand what it was.

Speaking of pain and gain, the reason I,m so late catching up is Deb and I were downstairs lifting weights.
How is everyone else doing on New Years resolutions?

Really good! I've met my goal every day except for the day after the marathon, when I couldn't move a muscle! Ouch!!!

Hi, everyone! I'm back and so happy to be back!!! We had a great time, and I promise I'll tell you all about it. Suffice it to say, I actually FINISHED the half, and didn't do too badly, either.

My husband, SIL, and BIL had a great dinner with Ellen and her family, and Kate and her family! It was definitely the highlight of the whole trip! I can't wait to get to do it again! Alan had a great time with Steve, and repeatedly said that it was great to finally meet up with some of the DDA, and see that it's such a great group!

My one regret was not being able to hook up with Jennifer and Kyle. Hopefully we will meet in the future!

Well, I'm off, back to page 6098 to start catching up.

I did! It was amazing how I could hear you all in my mind! It really kept my spirits up. Especially around mile 11. It got really hard to keep going around then!

I loved that idea for your girls! Terra just asked me today if her next reward goal after closed for her Brownie Bear could be to go bowling. She's very excited. (We started a sticker chart for days with no hitting, pushing, etc and for good listening after she and Connor started back with their fighting recently.)

Okay, i have to vent, this is driving me nuts..so feel free to skip my post!

My brother's best friend Steve, is like a brother to me. He has gone on 2 vacations with us and has come over countless times..Has even lived with us for a coupleof months when his house wasnt ready on the military base.
Steve is deploying to Iraq again one week from tomorrow--he will be gone at least 8 months. Before he deploys, we typically all go out to dinner (my parents, brother, me, steve, and "uncle" greg). My brother and i have not been able to reach steve at all. He has a relatively new (a couple of months) girlfriend. It seems that everytime he gets a girlfriend, everything revolves around her and he forgets all his friends/family.Now, hes always been like this and we know it, but im petrified i wont see him before he leaves. I know it sounds so stupid, but i have a really bad feeling about him leaving this time, and i need to hug him, tell him be careful, and all that...
Sorry for the vent, but its driving me crazy that i may not see him before he gets deployed!

Jennifer! It's so scary to have someone you love leaving for a dangerous mission. I hope as I read further, that I'll find out you have been able to see him.
