Sister was an absolute DEMON this afternoon. I was so frustrated and angry with her!

Brother had an accident in the playroom. I was mopping up with Clorox wipes when Brother comes running in, crying, saying he needs a Band Aid. I asked him if Sister hit him. Of course the answer is yes. So I marched back to her room to find out WHY she hit him. She says he was bugging her. Oh, perfect! Now it is acceptable to hit anybody who is bugging us? I WAS going to let her get off with just apologizing to him. Today was the first time she had Tae Kwon Do directly after school - I know she was tired. But then she started in on ME! She told me she hates me, she is going to have a new nanny, she isn't going to sit on the naughty step, she is going to throw me down a hole, on and on and on. So she got sent to the naughty step.

At first she refused to sit, but she did finally sit down. But she did not shut her mouth for the entire 5 minutes she was on the step. She was screaming at the top of her lungs, she was being so hateful and disrespectful I was about to lose my cool. She was also really upsetting Brother. After the timer beeped I was going to let her get in her chair for dinner, but she just kept on with the ugly, vicious talk. "I am going to get my neighbor and she is coming for a play date and we are going to kill you." EXCUSE ME? What exactly does one do to a 5 year old that talks like that?:scared1: So she stayed on the naughty step.

Eventually she did apologize, so she got in her chair. Brother was eating macaroni and cheese. Sister loves mac & cheese, but she refused to eat it. On to her next diatribe - she doesn't feel ike eating this, she wants something else, her dad will come home and give her steak. She asked for a pickle and I told her no. I don't think a pickle is all that healthy, and she certainly did NOT deserve a treat! So she says I am a LIAR, pickles are healthy. Back to the naughty step. When Dadboss came in he just sort of glossed over it and told her she must learn to control her emotions. OK, this was SO not about controlling emotions! She ranted and raved at me for almost THIRTY minutes! And as soon as he came in she played all pitiful and said she is TIRED. Yeah, I would be tired after yelling for half an hour, too!

That behavior is the precise reason that I know nannies who refuse to work with children once they turn 5. Children that age invariably start to really misbehave, and it gets to the point where you can't control it. And more often than not the parents either enable the behavior or just don't bother to address it, so it never gets better.

I'm having my coffee date tomorrow morning! From the phone chats we've been having, I'm getting the feeling he is not my type. Tomorrow I'll know for sure if there is any chemistry there.

Sorry you're not feeling any vibes! I'll still send my good wishes for tomorrow. At least you'll have the dreaded "first date" over, and that's a major hurdle! Be sure to let us know how it goes!

By Daphne DuMaurier (sp?)? That is one of my all-time favorite books! :thumbsup2

Yup, that's the one! I love the book. Like I said, I adore the movie, but for some reason had never read it before. I'm so loving it!

So how is the job search going :rolleyes1

Evening all.
Hope you all had a better day than me.
Had classes yesterday & today.
So no work.
I passed class, no problem.
BUT at lunch.
I broke a front tooth.
The whole tooth is gone.
I just heard a pop.
I'm thinking WTH. :scared1:
It was gone, I had shallowed it without knowing.
It happened so fast.
So I have a Denist appt @ 9:30 A.M.
I have brittle teeth (have had my front 1's done 2x's before).
Also have other problems caused by med's when I was a kid.
I hope I can talk them into just taking them all out this time.
I'm so sick of getting this done every few years.
Well so much for my sad story. :rolleyes1
All in all everything else is good. :woohoo:

Jo,

Good to see you posting. Sorry about the tooth :grouphug:

I'm glad Chuck liked the shirt. :thumbsup2
Some of the salesmen went to a "ride and drive" last month and brought back a few shirts. These are promtional shirts not available to the public. I thought the writing on the back was cool. Deb says I'll have to settle for the shirt until our DVC is paid off. :sad2:

Chuck says you need to learn to set your priorities better. The truck should always come first! And unfortunately, that is going to be our case. We'll have to pay off the trailer and truck before the DVC. But I can handle that as long as I still get my yearly trips to Disney.

Sounds like a bite of soap or a teaspoon of tabasco sauce is in order!

Does Chuck have any questions I can answear for him?

No, not at this time. He probably will when it gets closer to us buying it. we can't do that for at least 4 months. We need to pay off the other cars. I hope to postpone it a little longer than that but I don't know if Chuck has the same idea! :lmao:

What book was it??

I am now reading Size 14 is Not Fat Either....very good.

Where is Size 12??? Cassidy is wondering if we could get it back so she can read it.

That's about all she's allowed to do right now is read and she actually seems to be enjoying it!!

I have it right now. I can send it back this week.
