The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 20

It was SO fun! The hour was a perfect time as we bowled about a game and a half and it was only at the end that the girls tired out some. I don't know if you've seen them, but our lanes had a ramp that the little ones can use to help them out if they can't get the ball down the lane on their own. It is a ramp of metal bars and the kids roll the ball down them and onto the lane. Terra and Kassie eached used the ramp about half of the time and went on their own the rest. Terra was hilarious coming up with different ways to push the ball each time she was up. Myself, I was happy that I bowled a 121 considering I haven't bowled with the big balls (sounds terrible, I know, but I couldn't come up with anything else) in at least 3 years. The only bowling I've done in the recent past is Candlepin in Boston.

Candlepin???

and I am happy if I get over 100...part of the reason I want my own ball is that balls are drilled for righties not lefties!!

Kiddos and those ramps are so cute!! Did you use bumpers too??

Well I am reading again tonight, so see ya tomorrow.
pixiedust: and :grouphug: to all.

And yes the book I was reading last night was finished last night. I started at 1:00 pm and finished at 9:55 pm, and that was with potty breaks, a break for a light snack and then a final big break to make dinner, do dishes and take a shower.

I really do love reading and have finished a lot of books in a day, but it just takes me a while beofe I will pick up a book. :confused3

So, what was the book?

I just finished Inkspell by Cornelia Funke, and loved it! It's a sequel to Inkheart, also very good.

Today I began Rebecca which is our book club's choice for February's discussion. It's really good so far! I loved the movie, and I feel like the book is even better (as is usually the case!)

I'm the same way! Any day I can bowl a 3 digit game is a good day! Luckily, my team on the league is very understanding!

Thanks for all the congratulations, it hasn't really sunk in yet.

I really enjoyed all the wedding pictures that everyone shared, so when I came across this picture today I thought it might be fun to share the messy first birthday pictures too. My daughters were both too prissy to make a mess but my grandson sure wasn't.

What book was it??

I am now reading Size 14 is Not Fat Either....very good.

Where is Size 12??? Cassidy is wondering if we could get it back so she can read it.

That's about all she's allowed to do right now is read and she actually seems to be enjoying it!!

We were on a league as a family when I was a kid and we had one family who hated us because it was a handicap league....well we got better each week (which is a good thing) and would end up beating our opponents because of our handicaps added in. Drove them nuts....they needed to take a chill pill!!

We got a Disney code in the mail for 40% off certain weeks at Disney. Chuck gave it to me. He said "maybe this will make you happy". I was in a great mood until I got an email blaming my team for something that set me off. Anyway, the way he handed it to me made me believe he'll let us go again this year! :woohoo:

Where is everyone tonight :)

still at work....not quite quitting time!!

It's been so quiet around here the last couple of days though...makes me wonder!!

We have things to return tonight....oh the fun we have on Wednesday Night Out.

YEAH!!!! about Disney not the icky email!!

So, I've been checking out the first reviews of the P&P party last night. It sounds like it is well worth the $$! :thumbsup2 Lots of unusual characters out (meet-and-greet with Jack Sparrow! :faint:), good parade and fireworks. Plus Tinkerbell is on a float!!! :woohoo:

Jonathan and I were waiting to decide if we were going to hit the party or not, but we are for sure going now! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

I was catching up here and then I was off to find the reviews. I had read somewhere that Tinkerbell was on the float. That is fantastic.

Anyone watching Oprah today? It's the old stay at home/ working mom debate.... I m wondering if this issue will be as huge for my daughter as it is for my generation.

It was the same for my mothers generation. She went to work in a factory when I was little. Dad also had a job.

What was the upshot of it all? I'm very lucky in that I get to stay at home with my kids. They drive me crazy a lot, but I'm glad that I can. There are days, though, when I'd give my eyeteeth to have a "job" that allowed me to escape my children.

However, my hat is off to working mom's! You all put me to shame!!! I really don't know how you all do it! I'm exhausted just dealing with my kids.

And I was going to say that you SAHM's put me to shame. I just couldn't do it. I love my kids but I don't think that I have the patience to do a good job.

I guess I need to make dinner. The kids are fed, but I don't know what I want. I just came from my weekly weigh in and only lost .2 lbs in 2 weeks :scared1: I have got to make myself exercise daily!!!

Let's work together on this Deb! I really need to start exercising and get better at my eating again. I've gained back 5 pounds in the last month.

How cute! I love looking at pictures of 1st birthdays :goodvibes
