Tammi have you ever taken the train to The Conservation Station? This is where we had pictures taken with Jiminy Cricket & there are other characters there as well. They have a petting zoo too. We have also done the Maharajah Jungle Trek & enjoyed that.

I'm trying to plan which parks to hit this weekend and I'm looking for some recommendations from anyone that has done any of the following. Are they hits or misses.

Pangani Forest Exploration Trail
Maharajah Jungle Trek
Flights of Wonder
Pocahontas and her Forest Friends

Yes, we did that in October and spent a lot of time there. The kids really enjoyed it.

We love Kona too but haven't been to ohana since they changed the menu. Nope, we have never been to Teppanyaki before. All the others I listed we have been to, I guess I should be more adventurous & try new places huh?

We ate at 'Ohana for the first time in Dec and LOVED it! It was probably our best meal all week. Since I had never been on the old menu, I can't compare, but thought that everything was delicious. I was concerned about the dessert as I don't always like bread pudding, but it was TO DIE FOR! I told the server that I could probably eat the Bananas Fosters sauce as a soup. :teeth: I did see a neighboring table get pineapple and carmel sauce with their dessert so if that is important to you it may be possible to get if you ask.

We love the two animal trails. They are generally peaceful and relaxing. The gorillas, tigers and bats have some really great places to observe from. If you are short on time, they would be skipped, but if you have the time, I would recommend them!

DH is such a picky eater that if they don't have meat and potatoes on the menu I can just about forget it. He really had a hard time when we went to Hawaii, thank goodness they have McDonalds there. :rotfl:

Well, the potatoes were scalloped, but they were there. And, to me, the meat was amazing! We had steak (which I had 3 servings of), turkey, sausage and I think one other thing, but I don't recall. The turkey was so good in the peanut sauce and the steak was delicious. Plus there were wantons to start, teriaki shrimp and stir fried veggies. The meats were all seasoned or marinated, so that might be a problem if he likes his meat plain, but it might be worth a try if he could go for the marinades.

Hey Tia!! How was bowling???

It was SO fun! The hour was a perfect time as we bowled about a game and a half and it was only at the end that the girls tired out some. I don't know if you've seen them, but our lanes had a ramp that the little ones can use to help them out if they can't get the ball down the lane on their own. It is a ramp of metal bars and the kids roll the ball down them and onto the lane. Terra and Kassie eached used the ramp about half of the time and went on their own the rest. Terra was hilarious coming up with different ways to push the ball each time she was up. Myself, I was happy that I bowled a 121 considering I haven't bowled with the big balls (sounds terrible, I know, but I couldn't come up with anything else) in at least 3 years. The only bowling I've done in the recent past is Candlepin in Boston.

Cassidy had pants as part of her Pirates costume....they were the one size fits all if you'd like me to send them.

Let me see if I can find a pic of their costumes!!

Let me see a picture and I'll ask Becky what she thinks. I was thinking that would work better than a skirt.

Well I am reading again tonight, so see ya tomorrow.
pixiedust: and :grouphug: to all.

And yes the book I was reading last night was finished last night. I started at 1:00 pm and finished at 9:55 pm, and that was with potty breaks, a break for a light snack and then a final big break to make dinner, do dishes and take a shower.

I really do love reading and have finished a lot of books in a day, but it just takes me a while beofe I will pick up a book. :confused3
