Evening all.
How is everyones Monday?

Jen glad to see your Grandmother is home.
Loved all the wedding pictures.
Well I'm about 70 pages back.
So as always.
Back to catch up.

I usually let them dry overnight...but I did not set the printer for iron ons. did everyone do this??

I normally do, but my printer also has this thing where it automatically detects the paper and adjusts accordingly (if it's on...)

Bernadette love the Santa pictures you posted!

Kristine I have not had any problems with the shirts bleeding, hope you get this figured out.

Tammi glad to hear Nicholas is feeling better.

Chanon I love the idea you had for the challenge! Deb posted the Lucille Ball example.

No, I did not set my printer for iron-ons. I just used the regular setting that I use to print anything. I've not had any problems with them running.

:grouphug: and pixiedust: that those with a bug or that have little ones with a bug get better quickly.

I hope that everyone feeling badly today is on the mend soon! Not a fun time for anyone, I know. :grouphug: :wizard:

I haven't charted out my days yet but I'll just make the 23rd MGM. I think my DH would enjoy H&V but my kids LOVE Sci Fi for lunch. Don't they make you do FDP pretty early-like 4:30 or something? I don't know if we'd be up for that even if we got an 11:00 lunch at Sci Fi. Maybe we would....DH would LOVE H&V. And it would be fun to have dinner with you. I think only Lizzy & I would actually go to Fantasmic though. Joe saw videos I took in May and said he didn't want to see the scary parts. When I told him it was all or nothing he chose nothing. He may be "braver" by August. Emma doesn't even like to listen to the videos from across the room so I won't take her yet. Joe was watching some old Mickey cartoons tonight and she was hiding under my desk.

SO...I guess I better get going on my schedule. When can I start calling for ADR's?

Our arrival date is Aug. 15 and my ADR call date is Feb. 16. I can't remember off the top of my head what date Anne Marie said her call date is.

There is a trick to the FDP times. If you call back about 3 weeks prior you can usually move to a later time. When the ADR booking window first opens up you can only book for like 4 PM. The other option is to just book a plain ADR and take your chances on Fantasmic seating.

Bernadette, if the 5 of you would like to meet for dinner then I can book an ADR for all of us (Anne Marie's family too, if they decide to do H&V). We can think about whether or not we want to do it as FDP. Or we can book a plain ADR and try to convert it to the FDP closer to the trip. Whatever works for you guys. We are doing lunch at Sci Fi next week so it isn't on my list for August.

Plenty of time for us to kick around the different options!:)

Gotta run for a while. The kids think they need dinner. I'll be back in about 2 hours!

Thanks, everyone, for the kind words on my pictures. And thanks again for all the birthday wishes!

For those of you who have done iron ons...I have a question or 2. I used the dark transfer paper from eBay. I noticed that many of the shirts bled after washing. I tried different things...cold water, warm water, gentle etc. Has anyone else experienced this? Any suggestions? Since I am doing shirts for 11 people in December, it bums me out that they won't look good after just 1 washing!!

I had our August shirts done at the mall because I am a craft weenie. The first time I washed one the colors ran all over the shirt. I returned it and made the guy make another one. Then I did this:

Wash the shirt in the machine in cold water and 1 cup vinegar - NO detergent or fabric softener. That is what the guy at the shop said to do. In fact, he said to NEVER use fabric softener on the shirts.

Take it out immediately when the washer stops and tumble dry on low until it is completely dry.

Once you figure out if it works on one shirt you can wash the rest. The colors seemed to bleed on mine when I decided to let it air dry - the wet ink ran everywhere. We haven't worn the shirts very often since we got back, but DH wears his now and then and it looks good. I just launder it with other knits and tumble dry.

Good luck!!

Evening Everyone,

Sorry to hear that so many are under the weather, PD that everyone gets well soon. My DGS was sick for just about 24 hours and then he announced that he was hungry, oh to be able to bounce back like the little ones do.

Happy Birthday Glynis!

Debbie

Feel better soon Nicholas :wizard: :wizard: that no one else gets it.

Paula and DH feel better soon

Glynis thanks for sharing your pictures.

Emma really loves those fountains. I bet she would have been content to watch them for about an hour. She was a late talker and only had about 10 words at that time even though she was 21 months. She came home from Disney with 2 new words. One was moon as the moon was full and really spectacular when we were there. We would watch it rise over the CR from our Poly LV room. The other was from the fountains- "WOW". A friend of mine suggested she always knew wow before but the fountains were the first thing that ever really wowed her. :lmao:

I commented on my last trip that I could spend hours sitting and watching that fountain. My family goes well you should have done that when you lived in FL, uh I did but I miss it. It was said jokingly as we love to sit and people watch, but at that moment in time we had to get to our dinner ADR's. They were the ones pushing me on this trip, well not really at all but keeping me moving as I would have rather curled up in bed. I had a rash all over my body, I was achy, my tops of my feet felt like they were on fire, I was dizzy, on and off nauseousness, vomitting, my ears hurt, so on and so forth. I was having a really bad reaction to the sun and other side effects from the antibiotics I was on and I would have been a much happier camper planting myself in front of that fountain instead of dragging my sick body all over the place. I had a fantastic time but would have had a much better time without the side effects. A sick day at WDW is better than a sick day elsewhere.:thumbsup2

Did you use fabric softener or dryer sheets with the shirts when you washed them before you ironed on the designs?? I know some printers you cannot use them with transparencies or velum perhaps it is the same for the iron on paper. Maybe you need to change the paper settings to iron on transfer.

Vicki- I wanna know how I am supposed to read that thing and close my eyes at the same time??:confused3 :confused3   Very neat.:thumbsup2

Hi, Jo! How are you and Ramiro doing?

Bernadette - The pics of Joe with Santa & Mrs. Claus are too cute! We might be interested in sharing a Photo Pass CD. We can definitely talk about it!

Vicki - Your "memory lane" post was fun! I can't tell you the last time I thought about that "Heads Up, 7-Up" game!:rotfl2:

Paula - I hope you and DH get well soon!!:wizard: We are all anxious to hear about your DL trip!

 Thanks, Vicki!

You guys would think oh so differently if you could see me now in all my paint-loveliness...:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Why do you think I only let you all see the rooms.
Not me, as I have almost as much paint on me as the walls.
:rotfl2:

By the way we want before & after pictures.

Ok, Becky has decided she wants to be a pirate princess for the P&PP. Any suggestions. The costumes you can buy are all a little too sexy for her (and her dad). I was thinking if we got her a crown for the princess part. I want to try to find her a white peasant blouse. We have a black vest that might work over top of the peasant blouse.

Anyone watch Heroes? It is currently on. This is the first one since December I think.
