I just finished watching The Da Vinci Code. (thanks Elin). It's a good thing I didn't see that in the theater. I lost track of how many times I had to rewind and rewatch different things so I could keep up with it.

I really enjoyed it too. And, you are welcome!

My mom likes baby calf, dredge it in flour and fry in butter.
Is this how you do yours? if not please post how you cook it.

I LOVE liver and onions! And chicken livers and pate' too. That is the same way I have always cooked, it.. but it is NOT on my diet right now. :rotfl:
 
It looks like Becky & I may go parasailing when we are at Disney in Feb. This is something she would really like to do but I don't think she'll do it alone. I'm sure that I also would really enjoy it.

DH and I love liver.
I am not very fond of onions, but use them when I make the dish.


Liver with Piquant Sauce


1 lb liver 1/8 tsp pepper
1/4 cup flour 2 tbl shortening
1/2 tsp garlic salt
1/4 tsp paprika



Place flour, garlic salt, pepper and paprika in bag and add liver and shake until coated.

Melt shortening in skillet and brown liver quickly on both sides about 5 minutes. Keep warm.

Piquant sauce

1 med onion 2 tsp cornstarch
1 tbl shortening 2 tsp soy sauce
2/3 cup water


In same skillet, cook and stir onion in shortening about 2 min. Blend water, cornstarch and soy sauce and pour into skillet. Cook stirring constantly until sauce thickens and boils. Boil and stir one minute then add liver to sauce and heat thru.

I usually make noodles, add melted butter and serve the liver and sauce over them.

I try to brown the liver very fast and make sure it is medium rare or you can fry it to your own taste. I have even managed to get the kids to eat this when they were younger and still living in the house!!!
 
Here is a practical use for that little arrow in the quote. Instead of having to hit the back arrow three times after responding to someone, click the arrow after responding to someone elses post. It will return you to where you were!
 
SO we got Cassidy's first semester's grades today!! :scared1: She warned me that there was a "not so good" grade in math.....I looked and I think they heard me yell in Denver after I saw the F in that class. She is grounded indefinitely and will have to take math her senior year to get into any colleges...she compounded her predicament by swearing at me.


Her GPA is okay even with the F but I am just so disappointed and sad tonight.
 
Becky also had one of those. It was in psychology. It was a class I was worried about her taking because of her reading comprehension problem. I've heard from college professors that have kids in the school that she is tougher teaching this high school class than the college prof was teaching it in college. Becky needed the experience because she'll have to learn to cope in college. Though it was hard to see that F with all the other A's & B's.
