My high school boyfriend lives in Littleton. At least that's the last place that I knew he lived.

Sounds like there are lots of people living in Littleton...as my sister's speech therapist taught us all to say, "Littleton is not such a little town anymore!!"

We had family lunch day today! We went to DH's office and then out to lunch. It was very nice - DH used to work an hour from our house and he was never aound - now he works ten minutes away - he came home everyday for lunch this week and drove Julia to school - it really is true how they say when a Daddy loves and spoils their daughters how it gives them confidence and makes them happy! Her behavior has been less than stellar lately (thus the new behavior chart) and since he started spending that extra time with her - she has been so good!!! Once we added in the behavior chart - she has been a PERFECT angel - she got all but one star last night - two more than she needed for her big star - today she told me she wants to earn all of them!!!!! :cheer2:

I'm so happy for you and Julia. It is really important for fathers to show their daughters lots of attention. It's great that it is working. :yay: :yay: for your chart. You are such a good Mommie...

Thought I would pop in & say HI. I worked late night on Tuesday night at the office so I got off early today & I thought I would DIS abit & now I am going to do some scrapbooking. I finally got my October Disney trip done last weekend & now I have to do our 1/2 marathon trip. I always used to have my trips scrapbooked a few weeks after returning home, but that was when I used to do 12hr shifts & had days off during the week. Working 8-5 Mon to Fri really hampers my creative time. :sad2:
Hope everyone is doing well & has a great weekend.

Hi Melanie!

I am busy digging through photos for my Dad's collage. Sorta last minute person that I am....

:woohoo:

Anniversary is August 16 but we were probably going to go the last week of September into the first week of October so we could hit a MNNSHP ... or at least that was the idea. I just hope after all this trip drama fades he'll be back on board.
He'd rather get LASIK next year than go to WDW.... I can't argue since I had it done for my 30th bday a couple of years ago and am so glad I did! (But in retrospect, he only paid for my LASIK since he got a pool table for his 30th bday so I am not so sure that him getting LASIK for our 10th anniversary benefits us both... :rolleyes2 )
I have to agree an anniversary should be something you both would enjoy. :sunny:

Thanks, Marti (and everyone else who sent "have funs" earlier). I may have to finally try a Dole Whip just for you. That's one thing I've never had before. Terra was so excited, I couldn't get her in bed before 10. I'm hoping that means she sleeps at least part of the drive to Providence in the morning.

If I forget to post it again before I head to bed...I'll talk to you all on Tuesday. And most of all...thank you Kate for the head's up on the DING fare and the autograph pages!

Enjoy your trip!!!! And have a spoon of that Dole Whip for me.... :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Terra's "bribe" was Build a Bear. She really wanted to go so I jumped on the potty idea right then and promised that after she had dry panties for 2 weeks. We went straight to the store from there to pick out panties. From there, she was set. Less than 3 weeks later we were back building her bear. The panties were definitely a key factor as she had been wearing pullups since about 15mo just because they fit her better.

With my DGD I bought her pretty panties with Pooh on them. He was her favorite. So the deal was, she couldn't pee on Pooh. And she wouldn't think of poo on Pooh! She was trained in a week. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Now my DGS.... sigh....

Okay, I'm through with my personal posting party. I have to drive for 2 hours to my Dad's party. And we are expecting snow. :cold: :cold:

Lots of it. :cold: :cold:

Nite, nite. Well, good morning. It's 2:30 am!!! Yikes! :rolleyes2

Reason number 768 that Kate is Queen...She emails DDAers with Ding fares! Thanks to an email from Kate this afternoon that there was a $125 (yes roundtrip!) fare from Providence, Terra and I are headed to WDW this weekend. It was a struggle to make the hotels work, but we worked it out. We are headed out Saturday morning and will be back late on Monday. It will be quick, but SOOO worth it for everyone I think (Phil had another terrible morning so he is ecstatic at the idea of some quiet).

I'm not sure what we're going to do yet, but I'm not too worried. I think we'll just hit our favorites, get some autographs and catch a few parades and fireworks. I'm SO excited!!! :mickeyjum :goofy: :donald:

:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc
I wish I could just got to WDW for a weekend...

HHHHEEEEELLLLLPPPPPP !!!!!!!

Matt has a brainteaser question for his homework due tomorrow and Paul and I are scratching our heads. Can you please help???

Reese is giving you a puzzle to solve. He says, "It weighs nothing. It can be seen. If it is put in a can, it makes the can weigh less. What is it?"

And the kid is only in second grade!

A hole!

:thumbsup2

Ok I googled the answer :rolleyes1:

my3princes said:
Chris likes the hole idea. I did explain that it will only work if material is actually removed from the can, not if a hole is poked through the can as then it would weigh the same. Very tough question for a 7 yr old.

Deb

Unless of course it's a full can, and by putting a hole in it the contents come out... then it would weigh less...

Hi..

Just checking in. I haven't been on in some time. Bill's dad continues to be dying in the hospital. I have never in all of my life seen a worse situation. Every day this poor man has a new issue...today they have decided he now has a staph infection. This is on top of: pneumonia, heart attack, UTI, fever, e coli infection. I hate to sound awful, but most people wouldn't let their pet suffer like this.

I hope everyone is well. There is no way I can catch up..if there is anything new or pressing, could someone please PM me?

Thanks!

Kristine

:grouphug: I hope things get better for you all soon

To all that asked.
Yes it was quick.
40 days total.
From start to finish.
I just let him know.
I got what I need to use against you.
Don't make me use it.
He has a history in the courts.

I received sole custody.
He has supervised visitation every other weekend.
By anyone I approve of.
We can move 60 miles or more away without informing him.

Child support will be garnished from his check.
Direct deposit to my checking.

We are still working on getting the house ready to sale.
Inside is just about ready.
Lots to do outside.

Garage sale will be next weekend 2/18-19.

As to his behavior.
He is being so nice to us.
He is making us ill.
Last night he even told me GOOD NIGHT!

Don't know what his game is.
But he is in the 3rd bedroom to stay.

:cheer2: Congratulations Brenda - I'm so glad it all worked out for you

I tried to make some changes to my signature.
I lost my tag.
I also lost my glitter signature.

Brenda - if you go to user CP and then edit profile you can retype in your tag (I think it will be Black tho as I think only the tag fairy tags in colour...)

What did you sig say we can make you a new one!

Oh, I will join you in this. DD#1 just turned 4 in Jan and we still don't poop on our own. I think it's from few different things. I was activated just after her first birthday and she was put in a different daycare after being home for over a month. I had just quit my job to be a SAHM. Then DH left for Iraq and was gone for 4 months, then DD#2 came in Sept and that disrupted things for Ellie (DD#1). She liked school (daycare at a christain school) so much that we left her in for 3 days a week, then down to 2 days per week then by the end of Nov we had taken her out. She is now FOUR and got the #1 thing down great and never had a problem at night once she started "big girl panties" at night. On the other hand.... poop is a different deal. She holds it, plays "Hide and Seek", blah blah blah. The Doc gave us Milk of Mag and we use it every so often, we also had to give her enamas before because she held it for a full 7 days. We work onit all the time. I make her go every other day at least and I sit with her andtalk her through it (NOT FUN). My mother tells me all the time that she has never seen a child in high school poop and have diapers, and that Ellie will get it one day. DEAR GOD bring me that day.
I will send Pixie Dust and prayers your way. I hope your situations are shorter than mine. Best of luck.
~Paula
Hang in there. :wizard: I know how frustrating it is had problems with all my older 3. Cinderumbrella, I'm gonna share some advice I got a lot of people don't agree with it. That's OK it worked for us as far as saving sanity in our house. Let the preschool thing go, let him pottytrain in his own time. There is nothing they learn in a 3 YO preschool that they can't learn at home. My oldest 2 didn't completely train until after they were 4. We tried training a couple months before 3 and went through a lot of stress(trying to force the issue) finally I let go of my schedule and stepped back. My oldest just simply went in and used the potty without even saying anything when he decided he was ready He was a week over 4. He missed a year of preschool but he's ahead of most first graders. He just needed a little longer. Each child is unique and they do eventually get there. Good Luck to all struggling with this. :grouphug:
