Ok, caught up now. We were all fast asleep while the GG was on so I was glad to see your pics!

Cinderumbrella, quite agree to do your own thing. We were in WDW the same time as my DSis, but as she has 4 kids they stayed offsite, and we met up a couple of times. It worked out great, and the kids enjoyed being together rather than getting on each other's nerves! We flew out separately for the sake of the other passengers, and becaus my mum was freaked that the airplane containing her children and grandchildren would crash otherwise

This is my once-a-day post it seems. I am swamped at work and barely keeping up in LurkerMode. I even left theDIS and this thread open all night so that I could run in and read a post or two to try to catch up. Well, since you all so kindly talked about the GGs last night I was easily able to catch up! Thanks

Marti -- get thee to a doctor. you have to feel better.

Jennifer -- things will work out as you need them to.

Cinderumbrella -- plan your trip any way that makes you happiest. If traveling with family at their times makes you happy, do it. If staying with them in the same resort makes you happy, do it. If it doesn't... don't do it! After all, it is YOUR trip too. And you should be happy with it.

Everyone else -- stay healthy and happy.

Good morning Clare! I couldn't sleep - I'm up with pain from what I hope is just a urinary tract infection. I don't get them often, so I'm not sure if that is all it is. The pain is kicking the crap out of me - so I thought I'd check in to see how everybody is doing.

I missed DDA/Golden Globes - I was on with my college roommate discussing where she was taking me for lunch for my birthday - God I love eating out! I hope you all had a good time talking and watching - I hadn't seen most of the movies mentioned, or half the television shows!!

I hope you're feeling better and resting now. I agree with others - GET to the Dr. asap so you can start getting better. You have lots of fun to have in a few days

Yes pictures! We have valentine's day but only on the 14th and we just do card/gift - no decoration... would love to see what you guys do

Well, Clare..... we really only have it on the 14th and don't really decorate either. Just a few of us... it's not like Halloween or Christmas! But my house had a few select decorations for EVERYTHING... Independence Day, St. Patrick's Day, etc

Hello My DDA Friends..............I have been very busy the last couple of days and I have only been on to try and keep up with what is going on. I hope I haven't missed anything important. If I have please let me know.

I took DH to the airport on Saturday and he is coming back Wednesday night. He is my best friend so functioning with two boys seems impossible sometimes. But I know he is having a great time. I gave him a roundtrip ticket to Montana (Yellowstone) to go snowmobiling with some other "guy friends". They have gone the last two years and he always says we never have the extra money so this year I made sure he went. He has called everyday to say thanks so that is all that matters.

I will try to keep up at work today..........looking forward to the morning Skunka song.

Gotta finish getting the boys on the bus 1st..........Lynn

How nice of you to do that for him!! Hang in there, and check in here when you need us!

I haven't gotten my info yet, but was told that our points would be allotted in Aug. Is that done on the 1st or is there a specific date. We were planning our next trip for late Aug 2007, but if points are allotted at the beginning of the month then the points we are given now (bank them this year) would need to be used by the end of July 2007. Am I figuring this right? Too much info this week has turned my brain to mush.

FYI, you need to bank the points that you are getting now by Jan 31.

Kate and Nancy - so sorry to hear of your loss. I am glad that you could find an answer that soothed Julia and yourself.

My DD was 3 (almost 4) when my dad died. She had trouble grasping the idea that grandpa was gone and she wouldn't see him again. She then did try to wrap her mind around "heaven". She wondered if heaven had macaroni and cheese. She also wondered if there were puppies in heaven.

Their little world is so small, she just wanted to be sure that grandpa would have "happy" things with him.

That is so sweet. Thanks for sharing it.

Just a little tidbit for our football fans...

Reporter had a story on the news here; a man was at a bar watching the game, and when Bettis (Pittsburgh Steelers) fumbled the ball, he had a heart attack!!! Really. The bartender had to call 911 and he is still in the hospital....

Talk about a fanatic!!!

I can believe it.....because I almost did too!!

Good morning all...

I missed the golden globes...but I enjoyed reading all of your tidbits

I am getting ready to head into the city to list a house (i'm a realtor) Normally I'd be excited...but this is a $700K house that was custom built in a neighborhood filled with tiny postage size ranch homes. I am putting my thinking cap (or maybe my mouse ears) on to come up with a marketing strategy. Then it's back home to bake a cake for my stepson's bday. Talk soon...
