I wonder if they will get the offending zebras glasses??? :duck: :duck: :duck:

I won't even go into what I thought should happen to them :rotfl:

Of course, I've calmed down since then. But I still think they need more than glasses! That was NUTS! :scared1:

Ok, going to lie down at least. I have the first half of my last root canal in less than 12 hours!

Yes, that's really excitement.... we're almost done! ::yes::

GOODNIGHT! :goodvibes

Good to see you here and watch the Globes with us...

You will never know how much you helped your parents today. It might seem small to you, but it was massive to them. Trust me..... :grouphug:
thanks steffy - the distraction was great!!!!

I am heading to bed now - I need to avoid the football discussion

I know the steelers got screwed on that call but I have not forgiven them for taking out our quarterback yet

OK DDA, I need a little advice. Actually, I need you to tell me that I am being a baby and to grow up!! Or not, you tell me what you think:

As you know, we are going to WDW in December. I have always wanted to be there at Christmastime and after some prodding, DH agreed to go. His parents are coming too. Not sure what I think about that since I am an obsessive planner and she is too (but in a whole different way). Now, the inlaws have invited their daughter and her family to come with. First thing she wants to do is change the dates to make it more convenient for her. Also, they will need to stay at a value since the trip is going to be a real budget crunch for them. MIL thinks we should all stay at the same hotel (Yes this is the same MIL who has reservations about staying at mod and not a deluxe and now she wants to go value!).

DH will never rock the boat where MIL is concerned so I am on my own here.

I am losing some of my excitement over the trip.... am I being a baby or do I have the right to feel a little deflated?

somehow I thought I had posted my reply but not sure where it disappeared. I would keep the plans you made. They want to stay at a value resort for a reason. They do not have the money to spend. Simple as that. Plan to meet up with them but do not change your plans.
When Steffy and I went and met up with my sisters, it was great. We met in the parks and had a really good time. Since we had the dining plan, we ate together. If one of us did not want to do a certain ride, we split up. Our dates overlapped and it worked out just fine.
Because this was my first real vacation ever except for a cruise and a trip to attend a wedding in Ireland, I really wanted to do it right but next time staying a value resort would not be that bad. That would mean more money for other things.
Do your thing and have fun

Clearly, I know what you meant, and I was just teasing you. :rotfl:

It's bedtime now. Alyssa decided that 5:45 a.m. was a good time to start the day today. Keep your fingers crossed that that little girl "sleeps in" until at least 7 a.m. please! :goodvibes

Amy :)

:flower: :flower:

See next post..... thanks. duplicate..... yikes.... I need bed....

I need to be in bed by midnight. Clearly I've missed that, but I wanted to ask a Disney question. :goodvibes

My daughter bought my DGD a book by Carole Marsh... The Msytery of Disney World

On the cover there is a picture of 4 children captioned... Real kids, real places...... this is book #11

#12 is The Mystery on the Underground Railroad...

Anyone know anything about this author?? The back of the book says

Hey kids! Read the msytery, then go to visit Disney World yourself!

Now, why didn't I think of something like this??????!!!!!!????? :scratchin :scratchin :scratchin :scratchin :scratchin

Clare, my DH and son are Huge football fans. My younger brother played high school and college ball. I missed maybe 3 games in those 8 years. I do not understand football either!!! :rotfl2:

DB made Mom an index card, one saide had the players positions and a definition of what each one was suppose to do. On the other side he had a diagram of where they stood and the names and numbers of who played each position. That was one dog eared index card!

I can well imagine it would be a little worn - hardly a simple game is it! It actually amazes me that such a complicated game has such a wide following - but then I suppose if you understand it you don't think it's complicated!

it sounds like there are several others that would find it helpful so I'm going to create a new DDA motivation support thread. Kind of like the Weight Loss accountability thread. I won't call it scrapbook in case others want to use it for things like getting their autograph books done, their t-shirts designed or tie-dyed or whatever. Look for it in the next hour or so. I am going to put in a goal for my scrapbooking and autograph books. The autograph books will get done because there is a deadline. However, without this thread, I know I'd never get any more pages done in my scrapbook. We can then post our progress as we make progress..

I'm in - will come find your new thread later today :goodvibes

there is a scrapbooking board here on the DIS

http://www.disboards.com/forumdisplay.php?f=40

Yup there is - but it's thrown in with the whole cooking thing :rotfl:

I think the idea is a motivational thread rather than pure scrapbooking. Like put down something you want to achieve and the rest of the DDA will bug you 'til it's done type thing.

I just went to a motivational event at work which had a simialr theme - we got into small groups and said what our goal was for January - then the others in the group are going to contact us and see if we did it - and if not help us get it done by offering advice/suggestions etc.

Kinda like the weight loss thread but applied to everyday life...

Did I explain that right?? UP Disney?

ETA - yeah as usual you all sorted this one out already :rotfl:

Good morning Clare! I couldn't sleep - I'm up with pain from what I hope is just a urinary tract infection. I don't get them often, so I'm not sure if that is all it is. The pain is kicking the crap out of me - so I thought I'd check in to see how everybody is doing.

I missed DDA/Golden Globes - I was on with my college roommate discussing where she was taking me for lunch for my birthday - God I love eating out! :teeth: I hope you all had a good time - I hadn't seen most of the movies mentioned, or half the television shows!!

Hello My DDA Friends..............I have been very busy the last couple of days and I have only been on to try and keep up with what is going on. I hope I haven't missed anything important. If I have please let me know.

I took DH to the airport on Saturday and he is coming back Wednesday night. He is my best friend so functioning with two boys seems impossible sometimes. But I know he is having a great time. I gave him a roundtrip ticket to Montana (Yellowstone) to go snowmobiling with some other "guy friends". They have gone the last two years and he always says we never have the extra money so this year I made sure he went. He has called everyday to say thanks so that is all that matters.

I will try to keep up at work today..........looking forward to the morning Skunka song.

Gotta finish getting the boys on the bus 1st..........Lynn

Marti-- :grouphug: I get occasional UTI's and they are definitely horrible! I hope it is a simple UTI and that you get relief quickly. I have spent a couple of sleepless nights in my life crying on the sofa with the pain.

I sure hope you start feeling better soon. UTI's are no fun. Take good care of yourself. You have only a few days left to head out on your trip. We want you feeling 100% so we can live vicariously through you (since we won't all fit in your suitcase).

Marti, sounds like it's time for a trip to visit your doctor. Hopefully he can get you back on your feet before you head for the world. :wizard: :wizard:
