I fell into the same category as Cassidy...we moved into this school district after all the kids have already been labelled gifted from a school system that doesn't have G/T programs. I was bored senseless all the way through school...I don't think my mom knew enough to fight for harder classes...mainly because I was an A/B student without trying. After fighting in 5,6 and 7th grades for Cassidy she finally was put into higher level classes...she is struggling now but mainly because she doesn't like the teachers....the poor kid never had teachers not like her until this year. She'll get it figured out.
My husband is the product of a small school district and parents who really didn't "get" him. As part of the ADD testing he had his IQ tested....he is also brilliant...but becomes unglued with the little life tasks...what I see as a pile of clothes to launder...he sees, well heck if I know what he really sees.![]()

He either leaves the stuff in there, or he takes it out and throws it on top of the dryer or on top of the table. If it is on the table Aurora makes a nest in it, then it is all furry.
The kitchen is entirely DH's thing, but he would NEVER think to CLEAN in there. He tidies, he doesn't clean. If I want things to be CLEAN I have to do it myself.

.....takes him about 3 hours to get a load of laundry into the washer...may or may not come out of the dryer.
It took him twice as long to make it home and he comes home and says that his boss told him she'd see him tomorrow.....UMMMMMMM....NOPE!!!
Next year I won't have that excuse. I'll have to come up with a new one!I am still hoping to go to NYC with Steve on a business trip in the summer! I really hope we can have lunch!!mommykds said:Hmmm.do I smell a NYC DDA meet in the future?????
I addressed my DDA cards first! I have an SSP going on, got it all packed, ready for the mailman. I put the mail in a laundry hamper. It is a tad much.

Steamboat Marti said:Hello all - just stopping in briefly to tell you how wonderful it was to meet Lindsay and Jonathan! It was such a nice surprise when I finally reached the Magic Kingdom that Paul recognized Lindsay and we were able to chat for a bit. Here's a picture that Matthew took of all of us:
