Absolutely. They are thrilled! It's going to be tough, as he's still in a lot of pain, but at least he'll be home!

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: For your neighbor's speedy recovery.

I swore I wasn't going to do it. I promised myself that it didn't matter, as long as the kids had a fun Christmas. But the blues are starting to get to me and I am trying my best not to let them. I so wish I had someone to share this holiday season with and to make a family with for my kids. There. I said it. I've cried a few tears. Now I need to toughen up and get over it.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: It is totally understandable, Tammi, and none of us blame you in the least for shedding a few tears. What's most important is that the kids know that you love them, and they do, and that you enjoy your time together. We love you too!!!

OK - I put a pretty good dent in the packing and am going to head to bed early enough to sleep a while before getting back up to finish it. I realized that Iprobbaly need some tank tops and short sleeved things since it is in the upper 70s there all week until our last day.

We are taking Button to the vet to be boarded (along with Tammi's dogs) while we are gone :) and plan to be out of here by 10:00 a.m. So, plenty of time to pack and check in with you all in the morning! See you then, DDA friends!

So I finally wrangled Brother & Sister into bed! :) Brother has been a PILL today!

Hi, Marti! Great pics!

Elin - Have a fabulous trip!! Just 43 more days for us!

Well, I don't know if I'll be up before you leave, so I'll wish you a fabulous trip, now! Have the most merriest of Christmases and a wonderful vacation with your family! I can't wait to hear all about your trip.

Be safe, and be happy!

Boy, is it quiet around here tonight! Where is everyone???

My kids are out of school until Jan. 2, and already they're driving me crazy!!! I'm going to have to come up with some projects for them for the next few days. First on my list is to get snowboots for 2 of the kids. Jacob and Mary's boots from last year still fit them, but Katie and Leslie need new boots. Since we're getting more snow on Friday, they are going to need them so I can let them play outside. Alan has promised to take them sledding Friday so I can finish all the wrapping and organizing. That will be wonderful!

I am so glad that he is going to be home for the holidays and that he is doing so well that he can.

What a thoughtful man you have there to set up the laptop for him/them.

Hello all - just stopping in briefly to tell you how wonderful it was to meet Lindsay and Jonathan! It was such a nice surprise when I finally reached the Magic Kingdom that Paul recognized Lindsay and we were able to chat for a bit. Here's a picture that Matthew took of all of us:

Jonathan (brave soul) let Matt take a picture with his huge digital camera (poor kid could hardly hold it, let alone take a picture with it!). Here he is getting some hands on instruction.

I'll give you one guess what was close to where we met:

So glad to see you Marti!!

What awesome pictures!!

Good evening, everyone! How was your day?

I just finished a book and had to tell y'all about it. It's a really charming book called, The Autobiography of Santa Claus, by Jeff Guinn. In light of all the conversations we've had lately about our kids believing, I wanted to tell you all about this book. It's told by Santa and explains his origins and how he came to be Santa Claus. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I think it's a book that Katie would really enjoy, too.

Just thought I'd recommend it to you all.

OOOOOOHHHHH!! That's good to know!! I've been trying to decide whether to pick that one up.

I am popping in and out. I was looking at airfare to visit my mom again because my courtesy hold expired. I asked DH about going to visit her, but he thought I was talking about going back to Disney. I said "Airfare over Easter has dropped." He was actually willing to go in Feb, then again over Easter, then back in August and I TURNED HIM DOWN! But really, to be able to do all the things we want to do on the August trip we need to NOT go over Easter. Besides, the crowds will be crazy. He never answered me after I explained I was NOT talking about Disney.

I have always had luck finding boots for the boys at Kohls. They usually have them on sale and it's an extra 15% off when I use my kohls card. They have warm boots too.

Ah. My sweatshirt is out of the dryer. In a misguided attempt to keep Sister from getting covered in pomegranate juice I ended up covered in it myself. And I am wearing my brand new Disney sweatshirt for the first time! Luckily I put it directly in the wash and the juice came out. (And luckily I have a T-shirt underneath!) Sister has about 6 shirts that are ruined from pomegranate stains so I was nervous!

My girls are bored too!! But they don't have the tv or computer until at least Christmas Eve.

At the Christmas Tea we had a wonderful speaker/author and I picked up a devotional novel for Cassidy by her.....my non reader read it in less than 24 hours!!!
But until the Scholastic book box comes in she doesn't really have another book to read....that's right that poor box is in the trunk!! So are the Christmas Presents...thankfully the stuff should be fine even it got frozen.

We went out last night to try and mail the last of the packages out....2 wouldn't fit in the 24 hour kiosk...so we were going to mail them out today. The Postal Service shut down at 3 so we called the parties affected and told them they will get a second Christmas.

Sounds like a narrow escape. Next time the kid takes the spill and all Disney clothes are saved :rotfl:

Sister was wearing PAJAMAS, so I don't know why I even gave it a second thought. But she has such a hard time if the little kernals aren't separated from the rind that I thought I would help her out. At least it turned out OK in the end!

Colby has been cracking us up tonight. I was cooking dinner and he made the comment "Oh, something smells delicious". Then he was trying to figure out how to put his nighttime pull up on and he says "This is impossible". He has been singing too "We wish you a merry Christmas and a Happy New Beer". If I wasn't already in pain I would be from all the laughing. He has quite the vocabulary for a 4 year old. Delicious :confused3

AARGH. Someone request a couple of designs from me a few minutes ago. She needs them by Friday. I actually have time now, but I need her to give me more info. I know that she was on a few minutes ago, but now no response. I know that I will not have any time after tonight so I hope she gets back to me very soon or she will be SOL.
