Steve is going to NYC July 31 & August 1 for business - I think we will go up the Friday before that

I had thought he would not be up for another DDA meet but I was wrong - he loved all of you!!

I am good for any day except July 30th..thats my birthday.

Good Afternoon DDA!

We had a really good time last night with my family. I didn't get much sleep last night because I was on Kitty watch!

Leighanna loves her Kitty, and already has a few scratches to prove that! Apparently Kitty doesn't like to be lifted by her neck! Leighanna is learning to be gentle with her, so she doesn't get any repeat scratches.

Leighanna had fun opening up all her presents from the family last night.

Come on everyone!!! A DDA meet in NYC this summer is in the works! So far we have myself, Kate, & maybe Terry & Steffy! Who else came come to the big apple?

Kate, what date are we looking at? 7/31 or 8/1? I am so excited I am going to meet some more of the DDA! (& I won't be sweating & looking like heck, which is what I look like at Disneyworld where some of you have seen me! )

I might be interested in that trip. I will have to see if I can get the time off. But is shouldn't be a problem. I haven't been to the Big Apple in a long time, and I have been wanting to go back. We have friends that live in New Jersey, so that would be an excuse to see them too!

I think if Stephanie and I come, it would probably have to be that Saturday, July 28. Not sure if we could do a weekday trip. But we sure do have a lot of time to plan.

All my brothers were there last night. I have a picture here with my Mom. I don't know if I told you this or not, but I have a twin brother. Can you guess which one is my twin? Most people don't believe us until we show them our drivers licenses, but yep, we are twins!

I need to start to get ready for work, and find a "safe" place for Kitty. Our dog as suspected won't leave her alone. I think she has licked her, and sniffed her up and down at least a hundred times. Poor thing is probably exhausted.
I learned last night that this is a rescued kitty. Apparently the people that had these kittens didn't want them, so the boys in the house started to throw them up in the air at trees, or whatever, to see if they would stick to the bark or land on their feet. They apparently didn't care if they lived or died, as it was just a nasty game to them.
A neighbor lady saw what was going on and took the kittens away from them.
My brother said that they all cried when he picked her up to be given away, but knew that she would be going to a good home.

Tom - the pictures are precious! I had an all black cat when I was young. His name was Black Magic, which was shortened to Magic. I'm guessing your twin is the one to your mom's left, in the red stripes.

Count me in for a NYC meet. Is this going to be kids as well? I've been wanting to take the kids to see the Statue of Liberty, and this would be a good excuse to see Mary Poppins, if it is still playing.

Robyn - your family is in my prayers. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Sure, I will try to organize it as best as I can. Dana could be a tour guide since he knows the city so well, but since we can fit you all in our minivan maybe we can do a tourist bus tour (double decker bus) I want to check into which is best for our needs. We can keep our touring to midtown (times square, 5th ave etc) things you all may want to stop into are World of Disney (55th & 5th), American Girl (49th & 5th), empire state building (34th & 7th), or the new observatory at the "top of the rock" at Rockefeller center (on 5th ave). We'd have to find a nice kid friendly place to eat....so much to think about! I am can put together an offical whose going list so we can keep track.
