My husband tries that all the time...I don't buy it!!! :lmao:

I fell into the same category as Cassidy...we moved into this school district after all the kids have already been labelled gifted from a school system that doesn't have G/T programs. I was bored senseless all the way through school...I don't think my mom knew enough to fight for harder classes...mainly because I was an A/B student without trying. After fighting in 5,6 and 7th grades for Cassidy she finally was put into higher level classes...she is struggling now but mainly because she doesn't like the teachers....the poor kid never had teachers not like her until this year. She'll get it figured out.

My husband is the product of a small school district and parents who really didn't "get" him. As part of the ADD testing he had his IQ tested....he is also brilliant...but becomes unglued with the little life tasks...what I see as a pile of clothes to launder...he sees, well heck if I know what he really sees. :confused3

If Chris were still up we could get a Man's opinion on this. I'm sure that he will weigh in on this in the morning.

DH can manage to put laundry in the washer, then put it in the dryer. Where he runs into a problem is when the dryer stops. He either leaves the stuff in there, or he takes it out and throws it on top of the dryer or on top of the table. If it is on the table Aurora makes a nest in it, then it is all furry.

The kitchen is entirely DH's thing, but he would NEVER think to CLEAN in there. He tidies, he doesn't clean. If I want things to be CLEAN I have to do it myself.

Are you married to my dh? He does the same things. :rotfl: :rotfl:

well I statred ewading tonight on page 5771 I have made it to 5811 but I need to go to bed as I work tomorrow.
Congrats Tom on 500 posts.
Vicki I got your card today reading your SP made me cry.
Thanks to all for the cards and emails I have been receiving. I started mailing my cards today. I will hopefully have some time tomorrow at work to do some more.

Well I know neither of you are married to my DH :rotfl2: .....takes him about 3 hours to get a load of laundry into the washer...may or may not come out of the dryer.

He can make french toast....but burns pots because he forgets he put water in there.

He's got a big heart and he's a sweetie....but sometimes he just has the sense of a goober!!

So Jim got to come home early today...10 minutes!! :teeth: It took him twice as long to make it home and he comes home and says that his boss told him she'd see him tomorrow.....UMMMMMMM....NOPE!!!

Even if the main roads are decent...which at this point they aren't...we live on a side street that doesn't get touched for a day after a regular snowstorm. Plus, we have a Ford Escort...there is definitely no 4 wheel drive on it. :teeth:

I called my volunteers and we are working it out for us to go in in the afternoon....I may end up doing all of the work myself, but it needs to be done...a little hard to have five services on Sunday with no bulletins.

I am getting off.....play a little Bejeweled and going to bed.

May all of you have wonderful days tomorrow!!!

I am home from work!

Tom - Thank you so much for the card! Your family is beautiful! :)

Jennifer - I wondered when we would hear from you! I am still getting the rest of my cards mailed, too. I have just not been organized this year! We'll say it is because we took that WDW trip earlier this month. :rolleyes1 Next year I won't have that excuse. I'll have to come up with a new one!

Theresa - Sorry your DH is laundry impaired!

I am TIRED! Good night, DDA!

Hello all - just stopping in briefly to tell you how wonderful it was to meet Lindsay and Jonathan! It was such a nice surprise when I finally reached the Magic Kingdom that Paul recognized Lindsay and we were able to chat for a bit. Here's a picture that Matthew took of all of us:

Hi Marti,

Tell Matt he is quite the little photographer.

Good to see you

Good morning, DDA! :)

Elin - Have a terrific time!! :goodvibes I wish we were all going!

Stephanie - Good luck at the post office! (And with the possum!)

:grouphug: and :wizard: all around! I have to get in the shower and scoot to work! :moped:

WOW, my eyes are tired. You all had quite a posting spree the last few days. I haven't had a chance to get on and DIS as I have been playing major catch up since being sick. I am not quite there yet but thankfully don't have too much to wrap and get ready for Christmas. I won't be around til probably Saturday as one of my mom's cousins was killed, he had a stroke while driving and hit a truck, on Monday and his funeral is tomorrow. It is 3 hours up and back so I will going with my mom and aunts. The only reason we feel we need to go is that my great aunt is really having a hard time with this and we think we should be there for her. He was in his early 40's and has 2 young kids. Really makes you appreciate what you have.

Elin~ Have a great trip! Molly asked if you would say hi to Mickey for her!

Tammi~ :grouphug: for all that you are going through.

To everyone else :grouphug: and :wizard: to all.
