Tammi67 said:I swore I wasn't going to do it. I promised myself that it didn't matter, as long as the kids had a fun Christmas. But the blues are starting to get to me and I am trying my best not to let them. I so wish I had someone to share this holiday season with and to make a family with for my kids. There. I said it. I've cried a few tears. Now I need to toughen up and get over it.

We are taking Button to the vet to be boarded (along with Tammi's dogs) while we are goneand plan to be out of here by 10:00 a.m. So, plenty of time to pack and check in with you all in the morning! See you then, DDA friends!

Steamboat Marti said:Hello all - just stopping in briefly to tell you how wonderful it was to meet Lindsay and Jonathan! It was such a nice surprise when I finally reached the Magic Kingdom that Paul recognized Lindsay and we were able to chat for a bit. Here's a picture that Matthew took of all of us:

Jonathan (brave soul) let Matt take a picture with his huge digital camera (poor kid could hardly hold it, let alone take a picture with it!). Here he is getting some hands on instruction.

I'll give you one guess what was close to where we met:

I just finished a book and had to tell y'all about it. It's a really charming book called, The Autobiography of Santa Claus, by Jeff Guinn. In light of all the conversations we've had lately about our kids believing, I wanted to tell you all about this book. It's told by Santa and explains his origins and how he came to be Santa Claus. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I think it's a book that Katie would really enjoy, too.
Just thought I'd recommend it to you all.

Glynis said:Boy, is it quiet around here tonight! Where is everyone???
My kids are out of school until Jan. 2, and already they're driving me crazy!!! I'm going to have to come up with some projects for them for the next few days. First on my list is to get snowboots for 2 of the kids. Jacob and Mary's boots from last year still fit them, but Katie and Leslie need new boots. Since we're getting more snow on Friday, they are going to need them so I can let them play outside. Alan has promised to take them sledding Friday so I can finish all the wrapping and organizing. That will be wonderful!

jackskellingtonsgirl said:Ah. My sweatshirt is out of the dryer. In a misguided attempt to keep Sister from getting covered in pomegranate juice I ended up covered in it myself. And I am wearing my brand new Disney sweatshirt for the first time! Luckily I put it directly in the wash and the juice came out. (And luckily I have a T-shirt underneath!) Sister has about 6 shirts that are ruined from pomegranate stains so I was nervous!
