That sounds delicious! Can you post the recipe sometime?
You bet! This was a new brownie recipe for me. It turned out so good! The recipe called for frosting, but I didn't want to take the time to frost them, so I just dusted them with powdered sugar. They were so yummy! I made a double batch, so I've got after school snacks for the next couple of days, too. Plus for me!!!!
Here's the recipe:
Cinnamon Brownies
3/4 cup baking cocoa
1/2 tsp. baking soda
2/3 C. butter, melted, divided
1/2 C. boiling water
2 C. sugar
2 eggs, beaten
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 1/3 C. flour
1 1/2 to 2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. salt
1 C. semisweet chocolate chips
Frosting:
6 Tbs. butter, softened
1/2 C. baking cocoa
2 2/3 C. confectioner's sugar
1 to 1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/3 C. evaporated milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1. In a mixing bowl, combine cocoa and baking soda; blend in 1/3 cup melted butter. Add boiling water, stirring until thickened. Stir in sugar, eggs, vanilla and remaining btter. Add flour, cinnamon and salt. Fold in the chocolate chips.
2. Pour into a greased 13X9X2 inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool.
3. For frosting, cream butter in a mixing bowl. Combine cocoa, sugar and cinnamon; add alternately with the milk. Beat to a spreading consistency; add vanilla. Add more milk if necessary. Spread over brownies.
Yield: 3 dozen
Enjoy!
