Hi, everybody!

Welcome, Brooke! :welcome:

Amy - it was so good to see your typeface, and your pictures were just GORGEOUS. I'm so happy for you! :cheer2:

Jo - I'm so glad you weren't hurt! :wizard:

Paula - I am so sorry to hear that Terry isn't doing well. The website is incredibly impressive, and I hope good things come from it! That judge has to be smoking crack in his free time. :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Vicki - congrats on the trailer purchase, and have fun at camp! :woohoo:

Marti - good to see you!

Marci - I don't have any advice for cat care, but here's some continued :wizard: for Jessie.

Glynis - loved the b-day party pics! Looks like Katie had a great day - you deserve a pat on the back for all the work you put into it! :thumbsup2

And I agree - it IS flippin' hot! :sunny: :faint:

And all you DC meet folks - I'm so happy that everyone had a good time (but a little jealous too that I couldn't be there). Can't wait to read about your adventures! :teeth:

Glad you're home safe June. Hope your train ride was uneventful.

OMG!!!!!!! SIL A and I made a website for SIL T
www.helptammy.com

WOW was that hard to do with kids running around and calling SIL A every hour I think it was about all the things we wanted to get in it.
Let me know what you think of the job we did. Keep in mind that we have a lot of work yet, but we did this in about 7 hours.
Thank you.

Thank you Kim from the Detroit News

Paula- Sending tons of prayers, :grouphug: :grouphug: and :wizard: :wizard: to you and your family. I hope the website and other things get the attention that you need to get the story out there.

Hi everyone! I heard you were anxious to see some pictures! ;)

Matthew's first week certainly flew by...my mom was here until Wednesday and we've had lots of other visitors too, including one of my very best friends who is in town from Paris! My dad and stepmom are driving in tomorrow.

Alyssa loves her little brother and she requests to hold him several times a day. Kevin had the whole week off, so Monday will be my first day alone with the two kiddos.

I am feeling pretty good. There's a big difference between a labor/delivery that ends with a 4th degree tear and one that does not! :thumbsup2

I miss you all and hopefully I will be able to return to my bantering ways as we continue to get settled in.

Amy :)

First I have to post pictures to thank you for your continued generosity!

Kristine and Bill sent these beautiful flowers and soft teddy bear:

And Dawn, Brian, and Christopher sent Matthew some adorable outfits and a doll that Alyssa absolutely loves! The doll did come with clothes and lots of accessories, but Alyssa prefers to keep her "naked."
Congratulations Kevin and Amy. It was nice to you you post and to see some pictures. :thumbsup2 They are really great and Matthew looks like Alyssa. Alyssa looks like she is being a great big sister.

I happened to read this somewhere today and thought of you. "A Baby changes everything, except itself."

Last but not least, Katie with her ice cream birthday cake. By the end of the party, most of the girls were sick of ice cream, so we took pictures, but saved the cake for when the other family members came home.

Here we have Leslie and Mary enjoying the mini ice cream cones from the cake.

Glynis- It looks like the party was a chilling success. All three of your girls have beautiful blue eyes.

I'm so glad that you all are having a marvelous time!!! I think it's great that the feelings from the DDA are still there in person! Thanks for posting and letting us know that you all are having so much fun! I hope you thought about those of us that couldn't be there. I know that I, for one, was thinking about all of you today!
We definitely were thinking about you. At various point in times we were like that reminds us of so and so or that person would like that. You were not forgotten even though you were not there in person, you were definitely all there in spirit.

Haven't been posting much.
Keep getting server busy & 40 second rule.
Tickers aren't working right either.
So I changed them.

Nothing much going on here.
Unless you count Thursday @ work.
Some kids without a D.L sideswiped me
while I was driving my golf cart (co. car).
I'm ok only got shaked up a bit.
Scared the C*** out of me.

I am glad to hear that you are ok and had no injuries from the idiots without a drivers license.

Will do! I hope your kitty is ok. My brother's cat is in a carrier for 3 months (now) as he broke his leg really badly and just had surgery. They are just leaving him in it and letting him out 2 times per day to eat/use the box. I guess the cats get used to it? It's so sad!
How is your brother doing?? Did he work things out with his girl?? I know you were worried about them.

They are in counseling- individually and as a couple. I hope they can save their marriage. He is giving it all he can. She just is having a really hard time dealing with her dad's suicide and the aftermath. Thanks for asking.

Well I made the ham potato and green bean soup today and it was a big hit. Even my very pickey husband liked it.
Heidi- I'm glad the soup was a homerun. I hope all is well with you.

Becky - Take a look a what I just posted. This is too funny!

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: :teeth:

I guess I spent too much time with Tammi this weekend. :rotfl: :lmao: :rotfl2:

Actually I really wish I could have spent much more time with in no particular order Tammi, Kate, Steffy, Terry, Robyn, Theresa, Elin, June, Melanie and last but not least Steve.
Kate-Please tell Steve thank you for putting up with us and our antics.

So, while you guys were having fun in DC, here's what I did last night:

Bet you didn't know I was a rock star! :rotfl: :lmao: ;)

One of my firm's major events of the summer is a Battle of the Bands, where legitimate bands (with at least one member of our firm in them) perform. It is a very LOUD, very fun, very tiring 7+ hour event, and it's my pleasure to coordinate the evening. We had about 450 people in attendance last night!

And for the past 5 years, there has always been a "surprise" act. The most infamous surprise act was back in 2001, when Frisky Kitty took the stage for the first time. FK was a band that arose out of a happy hour idea gone haywire, and produced 5 female members of the firm performing a song on stage, live, with real musical instruments, when no one had any sort of formal musical training (or talent). I was an inaugural member of that group, and after the raucuous reception (even though we were not very good - must have been the leather pants  ), we decided to repeat the act with 4 songs in 2002. We then retired on a "high" note.

Fast forward to 2006, when we all (and a few new members) reconvened after the 2005 "surprise" act, Sourpuss, threatened FK's integrity as the greatest all female band to ever perform at BOB. It was one final swan song - heck, it was 7 final swan songs!!! I'm happy it's over, but also happy to report that we were a heck of a lot better in 2006 than in the past - and we survived!

Wow! You really wasted no time posting... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Tammi is right, though... we had a WONDERFUL time. Everyone was so much fun to be with.

I figured you two would probably get back around the same time I did because I figured Kate and Steve probably wanted to get to the airport around 5pm and you had about an hour driving onto that. I guess I figured about right. :teeth:

Melanie, WTG on the weight loss!

Thanks Denise. I actually had fun shopping today. I didn't have to buy Women's sizes. I got a really cute skirt & a sweater set to wear out to dinner with my high school buddy. And a new top to wear to the concert we are going to on Saturday night (woo hoo one of my favorite blasts from the past) to go with some capri pants that I finally fit back into. :cheer2:

Congratulations, WTG. Hooray for having to buy new clothing. :cool1:

Wow Lindsay! That is so cool! Thanks for telling us and sharing some pics. It looks like ya'll had a fun time.

Sounds like tons of fun. Sorry you didn't get to join us.

So, I guess we are all accounted for as being home safe and sound, except Kate and Steve.

I have to echo everyone else who has reported on the meet - it was wonderful. I don't believe there was one awkward second - which is pretty cool considering how many of us there were! No shyness, it was just like we were chatting here, but face to face. We did think about all of you, and your names kept popping up in conversations.

Kate's Steve is a really good sport. He just "joined the group." He's also a real gentleman. He held doors and waited for all the ladies to get on the escalators and such first. You don't see too much of that any more, especially when you're "escorting" 8 women!

It looks like you all had good weekends, too (except for Paula - :grouphug: ). Great party, Glynis. Marci - cats are extremely independent. I'm sure she won't do anything she isn't able to. It's probably better not to have the gate for her to try to climb over, though, because she will keep doing that to gain her freedom.

Amy, Kevin is adorable - it's about time we got to see some pics! :) I'm so glad Alyssa is so taken with him (hope it lasts).

Welcome, Brooke.

If I missed anyone, I apologize. I'm a little wiped out from traveling, but still euphoric over the great weekend. Makes for a peculiar state of mind.

Lindsay, that looks like a lot of fun! You look like a natural too!
