Hi all! This is a check-in post to let all of the other DC DDAers that I am back. Got in about 1/2 hour ago. There are 20 pages! I'll catch up and be back.

Welcome back home, June! It was terrific to meet you and your daughter Melanie! We sure had a ball!

We sure did! Now I'm trying to "unwind" so I can get some sleep before going back to work tomorrow

Would you believe this? Melanie went up to the cafe car on the train to get me a Bud, and they asked her if she was 21! She laughed and told them she was 42, and they looked at her like she was nuts! They gave her the Bud, though

Her flight left at 7 and it's about 2 hrs. She should be home by now. Kate - post and let us know you arrived safely!!

I am betting Julia and Nick were still awake when they got home and they are spending lots of time with them. But I also think it is WAAAAAAAAAAAAY past those kidlets' bedtimes.

We have to quit telling everyone what a great guy Steve is. He will get invites to all the DDA meets from now on.

I totally agree. I don't blame anyone for asking her. She looks younger than her age.

Especially with how strict the penalties are for serving someone who is under 21. I have served alcohol at places baseball stadium, restaurant, basketball arena, etc and was always told if they looked under 35 you should card them. I know most people don't follow this but that was what I was always told.

I know why people don't follow that advice though is because of all the crap you get for asking to see an id.

Way past that, June. But I am trying to get all my photos uploaded to my Photobucket account so y'all can look at them. I will let you know when they are ready. They won't be cleaned up with the red eye removed though. Just not enough time to do that. You all would look completely different if I waited that long.

Glad you got home safe and sound! Now I can go to sleep as soon as I'm all unwound. It's so hard to settle down after traveling. If I try to sleep before my mind is ready, I'll just lie there awake, so I'm better off waiting for my mind to settle, even though my body is wiped.
